The quality off massage was good. But their policy and the way they run the business was not good. They never gave any 24 hours or 48 hours reminder prior your appointment. When you made the initial appointment a month ahead due to take a discount deal, how you expect to remember it. Especially when you did not get appointment confirmation all the time whenever you made the appointment. When the mishap happened, instead but gave you refund partially, they took the whole amount. And in order to book ahead for getting the discount, they charged full amount. So, I ended up didn't get the massage & lost the whole amount. The terrible thing, they send ne the reminder on text message after passing the initial time of the appointment. Totally wrong doing in business. And they didn't cooperate at all for their lack of service. So greedy. read more

My massage yesterday was fantastic- the spa is located in a 60's or 70's building, which from the outside, doesn't look like much. Once you're inside, you feel like you've arrived in Thailand :). I was in town for an intense medical specialty board review course. By the end of my week I had neck and back strain and I was miserable. I found myself with a free evening before my flight home. I called Saturday afternoon and was able to schedule a Sunday at 5 pm (!) massage with Olive. She was incredible!! I told her what hurt and let her do her thing. She used herbs and products from her homeland, and she knew just exactly what to do. I've had a whole lot of massages in my life. Usually you show up, undress, lay down, and they go through the usual paces. And it's wonderful.. but Olive tailored this massage to my specific needs using techniques you're just not going to find at chain massage shops. She really got into my neck and upper back and released my very painful tension points. She was so accommodating with my timing and schedule, and in the end Olive thanked ME if you can imagine. She seems pretty passionate about her craft and that's the sign of great practitioner no matter what it is you're practicing. The location I went to was new for them, and inside it is very clean, calming, and of course, zen. I was very comfortable and happy with the entire experience. I was really excited to try this place out. I had a long eventful week, from traveling, working and being on the go. I thought getting a deep issue massage would be a great way to end the week. I choose this place base on the reviews, but also with the impression I was dealing with experience masseuse.I mean that's what you would expect for $110! I took the time to explain to Vincent my problem areas and that I wanted to mostly focus on my shoulders, shoulders blades and upper body for the 60 mins. I paid for a deep issue and mostly got a Swedish massage. After the first 15- 20 mins, I had to ask if he would actually go deep into my problem areas. At one point I had to physically point him to my spots while getting the massage. I was told to push my shoulders towards him to help him maneuver. He even mentioned he wasn't experienced enough to help me with my issues. Hands down the worst massage I've ever gotten. I WON'T recommend this place especially for this price! After my massage, I was so disappointed, I actually left angry and felt ripped off. I had planned to call the manger because this was unacceptable and I wanted my refund. Before I've gotten the chance to speak to anyone I get a text offer 25% off my next service. Why in the world would I ever consider going back there and to pay some more! I tried calling back and got a text that they handle customer service through text messages. Apparently they're close on the weekends, so I'm hoping to speak to the manager about my horrible experience in order to get my money back. They should really take the time to train their employees. BEST MASSAGE I've ever gotten in my life, nothing comes close! I have chronic sciatic pain, horrible knots in my lower back, shoulders and neck due to my job and every place in Charlotte has never made me feel so invigorated after 50 minutes. This is a very special place. I have been coming here for about 6 months I would say. The atmosphere is hushed and quiet with little luxuries like herbal teas and a calming hot foot bath. Mostly, the treatment is truly spectacular. They can tailor the treatment to whatever is going on. After 2-3 visits, I had really pulled my lower back at home...when I went in, they knew just what to do for healing. It was remarkable. I get the Thai massages which are very different from what you might get in a spa. Lots of stretching, pressure and squeezing. It is truly remarkable. I have only worked with one therapist, who is Thai herself. She knows what she has doing. She has never done the same massage twice. It's custom for what I need at that moment. Taya was very firm almost had me utterly screaming during my massage. I was tight but the Thai massage was very rough for me. Given that was my first Thai massage. I don't know what to say if I'm feeling relaxed after the massage. I will give it another shot a second go around. When I got scheduled for my second appt , I automatically got booked for a 90 min massage which I felt that I did not have a choice to. So I left this shop in my feelings of being taken advantage of. As an avid and committed fan of deep tissue massage, I never took the time to explore other types of massage. To me, deep tissue always got the biggest bang for my buck and seemed to consistently relieve those painful, chronic knots in my neck and back. Covid19 shut down my normal massage therapist for a while, and I was forced to try out a new massage studio in my area. Enter in Raksa Thai massage where I had my first authentic Thai massage with a lovely and attentive therapist, Olive. It exceeded all my expectations and thai massage at Raksa is now in my regular massage routine. While I was initially worried I wouldn't feel as "worked out" as deep tissue, I actually felt that the deep stretching and long holds helped alleviate my knots even more so. It was truly a wonderfully relaxing and therapeutic experience, and I am now a huge fan. I highly recommend this studio and only wished I'd found it sooner. read more

Originally booked a couples massage for valentines day, but got rescheduled. Not a big deal as they were super accommodating in rescheduling. I used to visit a thai massage spot in Raleigh faithfully before relocating to Charlotte, so I was excited to find this place. We opted to go with the swedish massages on the first visit and were a bit disappointed. My boyfriend said his massage was just ok. Disappointing since this was my valentines day gift to him. I asked for more pressure twice and on my intake form and finally gave up. I felt like I was literally being rubbed with lotion. I got excited each time my therapist came across a knot or tense area thinking she would work on it, but at last she would just rub on past it, not really doing the kneading and long strokes and massaging typical with a swedish. I woke up this morning feeling no different anywhere, which has never happened to me before even after a basic swedish massage. The aesthetics are nice, I love the setup and decor and the people are nice. I really wanted to like this place especially after seeing all the great reviews. I ultimately think this place has great potential but the quality of swedish massage was severely lacking. I probably should've gone with a thai massage for deeper work and would definitely be willing to give this place a try again to see how the thai massages are. read more
