Stopped in for lunch today. Food is ordered through touch screen kiosks. Selected the Philly Cheesesteak Fries. The description said seasoned cheese fries topped with shaved ribeye and American cheese. On the left side of the screen there were options to add peppers and onions and other things. I just wanted meat and cheese. I placed my ordered and then asked the young lady working if the cheesesteak fries is just meat and cheese on fries, right? She said yes. I said great that's all I want. Food came out and it's loaded with onions and red peppers. There was no option when I ordered to remove onions and peppers and I specifically asked the girl before they made my order and she confirmed it was just meat and cheese. So that was annoying. Also, when fries are served loaded with cheese the fries should be cooked until they are crispy these fries were mushy even the ones that didn't have anything on them. Some seemed closer to being raw. No tables only window ledge and bar stool seating, that was not the issue for me just wanted to make it clear in case you were looking for a table to sit and eat. read more

I ordered the surf and turf phillysteak cheese sandwhich with french fries. The surf and turf comes with a few pieces of shirmp over top of the phillysteak meat. The gal who was standing nearby acted as if the questions were a major inconvenience. No eye contact, one word answers, etc. After placing our orders, the food came out semi-quickly. We requested them to be dine-in, but they were packed to-go instead, so we decided to just take them home. When we got back to the house, we realized that neither of our meals were prepared exactly as ordered. I had ordered the cheese sauce on my Philly, which was not added and my friend asked for no onions which were plentiful on her sandwich. Okay. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. Just moving here thought I'd give them a chance. They say the owner is from Philly so yeah, this may be good. Wrong. Several things. One that stands out is the kiosk (eye roll). I cannot say no salt and pepper on it. I can't say much. We ordered two cheese steaks and two onion rings. 1) the cheesesteaks were slightly salty. They were not filled like the ones from Max's or Jim's or Paganos in Philly. The beefiness was missing. He could add cooper sharp cheese to the menu. 2) The onion rings would have tasted better if he did not use his bare hands and eat one from our order. Yes sir. I saw you and it was not cool. 3) The bar with the pickles and peppers was SAD and looked unsafe. Sorry. Pre package them and add them to the kiosk. I don't t know what part of Philly you are from ( west, north, south, uptown, chestnut hill, germantown, brickyard) or other but this was nothing reflective of those places. The fries are the soggy long cut. I'm personally not the biggest fan of this style. The service was cool. You use the kiosk tablet to order and pay. I do have to say the ambiance is lack luster. It has a cool graffiti vibe in the front, but the downstairs is pretty empty. I feel like the decor is not complete. They have such a cool spot, I hope they are able to continue decorating it. There was one employee bagging orders and taking cash from Customers. In my opinion they can use another person to help with crowd control as it gets very packed quickly. You couldn't tell who was waiting from who still needed to order. Food took about 15-20 mins. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak with peppers, onions, cheese and mayo with Parmesan fries. Daughter ordered something similar. Food was fresh and good however our meal was about $40. Back in January, Yelp Elites were given the chance to check out Major Phillie for a complimentary meal consisting of a 6-inch cheesesteak, shrimp tacos (which were added to the menu permanently) and garlic parmesean fries. When we heard there was a Philly Cheesesteak place that had cheese whiz, we had to take a drive. Parking was not to bad when we arrived. We opted for the paid lot just around the corner. When we arrived we ordered on computers. Kinda like you do at Wawa.. another Pennsylvania staple. Ordering was simple. Once we ordered we found seating downstairs which was great for my family of four. It was a tad bit cold down there but quiet. The walls all over had names of areas in Philly. It was great! Came here for the first time on my lunch break with a co-worker. The staff was friendly and the Philly I had was pretty good along with the fries. Next time we came to visit we noticed some changes. The menu options and prices were different (which we liked) but also, we noticed a change in the Philly cheesesteak and fries. The meat now is more of a ground beef consistency which I personally am not a fan of and the fries also changed to be a bit thinner (which is fine but just unexpected). I've been here twice and really enjoyed the food. They put a good amount of meat and cheese in their subs and their meat is of good quality. Both the surf & turf and the seafood cheesesteaks were pretty damn tasty (and went perfectly with a side of french fries and ranch.) I also highly recommend getting the watermelon iced tea with your food, it's the perfect drink to have outside when the weather is nice. The hours here are pretty limited so I was glad I could come in to grab something. I was hoping to order ahead online to avoid waiting, but their online system was down. I ordered the regular philly cheesesteak with some toppings. I chose to try the cheese sauce because it had a great flavor when I tried it. The only problem was that it leaked out of the sandwich a lot which made it kind of messy so I'll stick to a solid cheese next time. But other than that the sub was very good and super filling. The place is small with limited seating indoors but also has 3 high top tables outside. We ordered the beef phillie and added spicy whiz, mushrooms, bell peppers and jalapeños. Overall it was good, I wouldn't say it's anything special but does fulfill a Philly craving. We also got a side of garlic parm fries but by the time we got home, it was kind of soggy. We just wish there was a little less cheese whiz and that they would put that type of cheese on the roll first and the steak on top of that. But, I'm sure that's just a personal preference. I decided after multiple unsuccessful attempts to try and beat the lines and head down to Granby Street. Upon entering the restaurant there were no customers there only two cooks and a young lady servicing the front. The customer service was nonexistent. You enter your order on a touch screen and then just wait. I ordered two egg rolls and an order of onion rings with a flavored lemonade. The food was tossed in a brown paper bag and the lemonade was handed to me. The food was disappointing. The egg rolls were tiny and flavorless and the onion rings were a tad bit too large and overly crispy to the point that they cut up my mouth. The lemonade was also overrated for $5. The presentation was lack luster at best. A white to go box would have served better. I'm not sure if my expectations were set too high but I'm happy to say this was a one and done for me.
