What stood out most was how much they paid attention to each bride. I always felt like the experience was in my hands, but I also felt completely supported by their knowledge and expertise. They knew exactly when to offer guidance, answer questions, point out details I hadn't noticed, and explain how alterations could transform each dress. Everyone was incredibly patient, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there. You could truly feel that they wanted you to enjoy the experience, take your time, and find the dress that was right for you. A huge shoutout to Taryn for being the perfect person to guide us through such a special experience. I ended up torn between two dresses, so we went well over our appointment time. Their extensive interview and screening process ensures the best matches possible, which are based on similar backgrounds, interests and hobbies. What I've discovered during my time as a Big is that I get as much out of our relationship as my Little. He's an awesome kid that just needs a male role model in his life, and I am proud to be the one to be able to provide it. We've bowled, gone to the Arizona Science Center, the planetarium, watched movies, sometimes we just hang out and play video games. The commitment they ask for is just a few hours two to four times a month, for a minimum of 6 months. Of course the longer the better - many matches remain friends for life. Ok, now I'm going to wrap up by quoting Whitney Houston in a Yelp review (which a fellow Yelper bet me a Cornish Pasty I'd never be able to find a justifiable reason for doing so)... I am referring to kids who are in foster or kin placements through CPS. I know we have tried multiple times to get children hooked up with a big brother or sister only to be told that CPS kids are too transient with their case managers and placements so they wont work with them. Who cares if the case manager changes, if the kid is in a placement that wants to have them stay there for years or even adopt them. Case mangers and social workers at schools and hospitals change but they will set those kids up with Bigs. I don't understand why this company wont work with Arizona CPS kids. Kids who have been removed from their parents are more at need of a positive mentor than any other population, yet are pushed aside by VBB-BS. And when you ask for a reason why all you get is the "they are transient" story. And I guess the kid with the single parent who cant keep a job is stable? They appear to me to be an example of "get the good PR", and forget the rest.

I once lived in a bountiful where an immense freezer could be filled with earth's goodness of vegetables and fruits for a small expense in miles and cash. Not that easy in Arizona. The freezer was donated to St. Mary's - and welcomed. We keep our pantry stocked. When the "Best By" dates geow near on pantry goods, they are donated to St. Mary's and refreshed. I want to contribute quality to those less blessed than I have been. And, St. Mary's, being a religious organization charity, blesses families, and individuals with the foundation of living - food. A good value for all.

This is served all over Arizona. I went with my office team and there were many more. It's a great way to give back to community. We learned that these food are given to many homeless, below poverty line people. I am so glad to have volunteered at this place coz they organize it pretty good and have a well set system.

I have never been more humiliated in all my life than I was today at approximately 11:05AM! After…read moreshowing great concern about a young child that was clearly not being supervised by an adult, I was denied a food box. I was denied by the supervisor stating that I had already received food twice this month. I am NOT a food stamp recipient, in fact I was on the phone with DES at the time that I was called up and informed him of that fact. I am attempting to help my family any way I can. The supervisor denied us even an emergency food box. The heartless guy referred me to St. Mary's Food Bank which is many miles away from Desert Mission (where I was after having waited in line), even more miles away from my home. End result, I was unable to drive the extra 10+ miles to get to St. Mary's. I have very little gas, absolutely no money and a bald tire (very unsafe to make that trip). My family will go hungry this evening and this completely unacceptable. If the option of ZERO stars were available, that's what my review would firmly be after this inappropriate conduct.
