Fate brought me to a chance meeting with Julie, at a mutual friends birthday party. I instantly…read morefelt comfortable around her; she was easy to talk to and listened, really listened to what you were saying. After meeting her and hearing about her services; I thought, how cool is she? Now - fast forward... Have you ever been (driving, sitting, staring into space) and think to yourself; what am I doing? I did that everyday for entirely too long, and then one of those days I remembered JULIE! I wasn't sure if she was the right person to talk to, but figured if she wasn't, she could point me in the right direction. I called her with one question, "What am I doing with my career in life?" I felt lost, and out of sorts. For once in my life, I really wasn't sure if the path I was on, was the right one for me, and I needed a professional to coach me. I needed direction from someone I trusted, and trusting Julie was very easy for me to do. After our initial conversation, a barrage of things came out - things I thought had nothing to do with my career/life question. One week we're talking about a business plan, the next week, it was anxiety and mental ticks; how to approach a difficult conversation with coworkers, superiors and my husband; what could potentially be the next step for me; entrepreneurship?, writing a business plan, my marriage ceremony! We covered A LOT. And this isn't therapy folks, this is a trusted partner who has a crazy amount of experience in life who helps you. I.E. she is a true coach. If you still aren't sold; think about playing a sport, you have a coach right, someone who might show you a different way to look at a play, or help you with your form, or listen to what you are saying, and translate it back to what they heard. This is what Julie does. And she does it well... Very well. And much like any coach - the work that was done between sessions; it was hard, don't let me fool you, she isn't going to walk into your life and throw some pixie dust on you and call it done. Some of the issues that surfaced were deeply personal and hurt to talk about. But those were my personal road blocks. And with Julie's help, I have overcome them, and work everyday to keep overcoming them. IMO; Julie can coach through work and life issues and everything in between. I am a different person than who I was four or five months ago. I am more passionate at work, a better wife to my husband, and have found my creative mojo again. Trust me, if you need a nudge to get yourself back on track. Call Julie, you won't regret it.

I found Kim Childs by doing a Google Search for Life Coaches near me. I had been floundering for a…read morefew years, and grew to be very unhappy with the stagnation in my life after the COVID-19 pandemic. My husband's coworker talked about how he had worked with a life coach in middle age to help him figure out his next steps after an intercontinental move to the US. I read Kim's website and noticed she was associated with Kripalu, is a former yoga instructor, and I was intrigued. I read a bit of her blog and decided to email to set up an introductory phone call. I felt like we connected on the call. She was lighthearted, but helped me move forward with action items in just that one phone call. Before our first meeting, I was really nervous. I didn't know what she would be like in person (I can pick up on other people's energy very easily), but I was soon at ease as I realized she is a kind and thoughtful person, who is also joyful and positive. She is spiritual, and educated, with an "East Meets West" style of coaching. During my three months working with her I explored more opportunities than I have in a decade on my own. Having biweekly meetings held me accountable, but gave me time in between sessions to accomplish our collaboratively created goals. If I didn't accomplish everything, that was fine. We would discuss what I didn't do and decide whether to add it to the next to do list or drop it. She taught me how to better read my intuition when making decisions, and to clear negative beliefs that were holding me back. I now have a path forward to explore several interests, and I have the tools Kim taught me to use along the way. She also referred me to an amazing acupuncturist/reiki master when I expressed interest in energy healing (this alone was worth a million dollars). Working with Kim for three months has been more effective in changing my life than five years of therapy. I urge anyone who is on the fence to take the leap and explore whether she is a good fit. The worst that will happen is she's not the right fit for you; the best that will happen is Kim Childs will change your life!

I was feeling stuck in a rut and googled Life Coaches in my area when Kim popped up. Her bio spoke…read moreto me (I adore The Artist's Way!), and as amazing as she sounded in Yelp reviews...she's even better in person (or zoom as the case may be!) It sounds cliche, but we worked together for 6 weeks and it totally turned me around in a better direction. If you are really ready to work at making a change in your life, Kim is an incredible guide - warm, creative, empathetic and full of great ideas. The best investment I could make in myself!
