Our server (?)/helper was fabulous. Very attentive and helpful. I did the stamped bracelet and my sister did the stamped wine glass markers. My project was very difficult to bend the bracelet properly. It takes a lot of effort and honestly I gave up after a bit trying to make it perfect. I like the imperfectness of it. Both turned out super cute though! These were both considered "easier" out of all of them. And it took us about an hour or 2 to complete. The drinks were great. They have snacks too, but we did not have any. The only questionable thing is having people use a metal mallet to stamp the metal pieces while drinking. Maybe don't come here if you've been drinking a bit beforehand. Would come here again! read more

I had a little issue finding a good parking spot, but was soon welcomed to our table where we decided what we would craft. Lots of very cute options from necklaces, to book marks, to pet bandanas, to clocks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit ridiculous for what you get. A pet bandana, before tax and tip, is $36! Really?? My friend and I made matching necklaces. They came out cute- but the chain was pretty cheap looking- and I'll probably end up not wearing it much- which is disappointing considering after tax and tip we paid nearly $60. Would love to go again, but only if there is some kind of special or the prices drop. read more

I had an absolute AMAZING Time yesterday at Makers Social. I had never heard about it until my friend told me that she went to a birthday party there and of course, I had to try it out. I made a reservation on open table through their website and ended up calling to add one more person as I added the max amount. I can't tell you how excited I was to go to this place. When we arrived I went up to the bar and let them know I had a reservation and they told me that the first two tables were mine. I ended up bringing 15 people and they let you bring your own food so my friend made us a charcuterie board. This place is fantastic! You get to pick a craft and be able to drink during it. I just got a puppy the other day so of course I had to make him a dog bowl holder. this project seems like it be so hard but the step-by-step instructions that were given to us really made it better. At one point we asked the lady working if we did it right and of course we did not. Gave us a power drill and it told us what we needed. We started with just slabs of wood and look at this amazing piece I strongly suggest trying this place out for maybe a date night, birthday party, girls night or just anything because I had so much fun and I really wanna go back and make another item. My only complaint is that it is a tad expensive but it's understandable because of the awesome space. I wish there were items though that were under $20 as most of my friends split stuff read more

MAKE A RESERVATION, CALL AHEAD you will be here 1.5 to 2.5 hrs in total depending on what craft selection, so same day we were booked on the early side with a 5pm instead of after dinner which was our plan. Totally fine. Great options for any person, theme that include pets, kids, jewelry, leather crafts, home items, the list goes on. Last time I did metal bookmarks, this time was cement plant holders/pencil holders that I custom painted. My spouse opted for cement clock that he custom painted. Great selections, I love that they are always changing. They walk you through the entire process and make suggestions for best project. Even literally waiting for cement to dry - only 30 min - we still had nice conversation over drinks...and about those... Cocktail menu has pun inspired drinks, also beers and wine. They also have a nice little bourbon collection for a psudo-bourbon snob (me). I tried the Basil Hayden Caribbean Rum finished bourbon. Not bad! And another Manhattan drink from the cocktail menu. This is an incredible experience and such a fun activity for any occasion! I made a reservation here for about 20 people for my fiancés birthday. It was so easy to make a reservation. You can bring your own food too, so we picked up pizzas. The service was amazing! They were so accommodating for a large group and helped us all with our projects. Some people didn't make something, and that was also ok! The drinks were amazing, they have so many options for beer, wine, seltzers and cocktails. They also had snacks. Such a fun and creative experience! My husband and I enjoyed making our leather keychains and they turned out well - the whole process took about an hour, which is the estimate they gave us. The instructions were easy to follow and our project leader was helpful when we had questions. The set up is so cute - they provide all of the tools you need and have so many different projects to choose from. We did a girls night work outing to Makers Social and had the absolute best time. What really stood out the most to me was the servers. Not only were they timely in getting drink orders, they were so so helpful when it came to the projects! It was almost like they knew exactly when we were confused and would swoop in with helpful tips. I love how they have a "focus" level for each project depending on how committed you are to the project versus talking with whoever you're with. They have all of the tools you could possibly need for each project as well. They have a lengthy drink list and no one had trouble finding something they liked. Unfortunately no food, but they are totally fine with you bringing food from outside and there's a good pizza place right around the corner! Also close street and garage parking. I stopped by here and had a few drinks at the bar when I was picking up supplies for a virtual fall wreath making event. What a cool concept and space this place is. There are so many different styles of projects that you can either make in-store or to bring home. All projects are self-guided but the staff seemed hands-on if needed, always checking in on the patrons and making sure their drinks were full. Alcohol prices are very reasonable and they offer some very interesting cocktails (even to go) using local Watershed spirits. Next time my parents come up to Columbus for a visit (realistically early next year when the vaccine is distributed), I'm so bringing them and my 7 year old nephew in to work on some projects together. We usually paint pottery as a family, but this kid has started a decent collection of animal banks and at this point we need to diversify our DIY & crafting experiences. Can't say enough about our take home wooden plank ornament making kit! The kit came with thoroughly written instructions, paints, brushes, darling plaid ribbons, sturdy wood planks and adorable stencil stickers (Ohio, moose head, snowflakes, Christmas tree and snowman - all in a variety of sizes). The stickers were fun to use as they are reusable and you can switch up from using the sticker itself or the reverse to create a variety of designs. We ended up having so much fun that my sister got additional wood planks (elsewhere) so that we could craft all night! We also ordered the glass globe ornament kit that includes gold, silver & rose leaf which I can't wait to explore. I stumbled upon this place with friends as it is conveniently located right across from Franklinton Fridays. When walking in for a cocktail and seeing workshop-style benches and groups of working individuals with hammers and tools, I asked myself "What in the Tim Allen is this place?!" Well it turns out that it's an awesome concept bar that opened just before the pandemic, that features an elevated menu of house cocktails and tons of artisan bourbons and liquors... as well as a full craft project menu. On the walls are shelves full of liquor and glasses and regular bar things, but also drills and wire and leather and more. We had an incredible time- I received a gift card from my class and my fiancé and I made a date night out of it. We were the first there so the first hour and a half ish was just us, which was really nice. The server was attentive and checked on us and our drinks. When it was time to choose a project, they were helpful with helping us decide what to do. I feel it is very important to note that this may not be the place for you if you are a very inexperienced crafter! There are plenty of more basic level items to create, but in my opinion some of those are extremely pricey for what they are. The help also is more hands off, which we were perfect with, but you shouldn't anticipate hand holding through your project or you'll be disappointed. Again, this was our preferred method of working so we were great with only getting like "hey where is xyz" or "can we get another whatever I accidentally brushed it into the trash". I made a phone bag and my fiancé made a collar for our dog. I am very crafty and do a lot with my hands already, so I didn't have a difficult time, but it is very important to follow every direction and read closely or you'll miss something important. The directions are great though, I made a handful of adjustments to mine to better suit my needs, but they absolutely were not required, nor would I have done them if I wasn't confident in my ability to complete them well. They don't serve food, but they have snacks, alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks, self serve water, and let you bring in or order in your own food! The only concern I have is the price- we had been putting off coming here because of the cost, but with the gift card it was an extremely reasonable out of pocket price! For 4 drinks (2 each) and 2 crafts, we spent a total of $130, but only had to pay $45ish after our gift card. But, if we were to go back, we'd probably only do one craft with multiple pieces (several options you get two or three of the items!) and only do one drink each. My roommate, Natalie, works at Maker's and hyped up this location (sister store to Studio 614) for awhile now, and I was so excited to finally stop by. Maker's, located in the heart of Franklinton, is a full-service bar designed to bring out the creative in you and your friends. Maker's Social has a craft menu with dozens of projects from you to choose from- yes, Maker's has not only drinks but also actual hands-on craft projects to work on! The craft menu has a range of projects ranging from level of difficulty and time to complete, so you can pick out the perfect craft. Some of my favorite crafts I saw on the menu were: a wooden 6-pack beer carrier, string art creations, and accessories for your dog! This place is awesome!!!!! I made reservations for two for a busy Friday night, not knowing what to expect. I emailed the bar via their email address on their website. So we get there a few minutes early, walk in, and am instantly confused about what to do. A bartender waved us down and gave us the deets. Choose a DIY craft and workers will help gather your supplies/instruct you on what to do. Fully stocked bar as well which was 50% of the reason we came. The only issue I had was there were no "regular" craft tables left when we got there. These regular tables were wooden picnic-like tables with fully stocked supplies for the crafts. There were these other makeshift tables with a black, plastic tablecloth covering it but these tables had 0 supplies on them. They let us sit at the bar to make our stuff which was fine, just no supplies and limited space. I had to go borrow/steal another tables supplies multiple times which was slightly awkward. I had assumed that a reservation meant an actual spot at a real table, but that's ok. The employees were phenomenal. So helpful and actually interested in chatting with us. They never seemed annoyed or like we were bothering them when we had a question (we had lots lol). This was such a fun, new experience that I'm sure we'll be back with friends!! read more

A wonderful experience for the whole family! Our son loves creating so this place was like Disneyland for him. I believe his quote when we left was "That was better than I ever imagined." He consumed at least a half a gallon of the free popcorn there too. Us parents enjoyed learning some new skills and sampling the impressive drink menu(both the cocktails and beer list).
