But boy was I in good hands! I saved photos off of her instagram of things I liked and she was able to tailor that to me during the trial and then day of was even better. I did not think it was possible that I could look that beautiful! She did my bridal party and the vibes she brought were immaculate! She got along great with everyone and they all loved their makeup! Also she was on time and very quick and was even able to schedule in some of my bridesmaids that changed their minds because they saw how good everyone looked! Honestly best experience and a total game changer! I need to give Gel 500 stars!! We needed a makeup artist for my son's wedding for family members. We traveled to Tacoma from San Diego. Gel was recommended by another artist I met at a bridal bizarre and I was a bit nervous as I hadn't spoken or met Gel. I reached out and we chatted. She's SO dang cute and what you see is what you get. She's reassuring, patient and kind. Above and beyond all that, that girl knows her stuff!! I told her we have a vast range of ages and looks- "No problem!" I perused her Insta and saw incredible work. And she had 6 of us to work on- I thought for sure we'd have to start the night before!! She arrived at 9 and I brought her up to the room. She worked on me first and then my daughter. I have "mature" skin (old) and she made me look like I was 40!!! Ok maybe 50 but I am 61. LOL. She made me look beautiful!!! She was in a groove just doing us one after the other. She sweet. Easy to talk to. We laughed about family and drama and weddings. I absolutely loved working with Gel and would recommend her to anyone looking for a make-up artist in the Greater Puget Sound area. She made me feel so comfortable and like a STAR for my wedding. Trial run - We completed the trial run in Bremerton at Gel's home studio. The space is beautiful, easy to find, and there is plenty of street parking. Gel agreed to still meet despite it being a complete snowstorm outside! (I currently live out of state and had limited days while in the area). Gel is also very receptive to feedback and wants you to look and feel your best! (Not that I had much feedback to give because she is just that darn good!) Wedding Day - Gel and her sister Gem travelled all the way to Seattle for our wedding. We asked for an 11am call time and they showed with plenty of time before to set up and get situated. They completed my sister, best friend, mom and MIL in record time and left plenty of time to get me super dolled up. They made the moms feel so comfortable and were flexible with changes the Titas asked for. They made my sister and best friend also feel so comfortable! Gel was amazing for my wedding makeup because she is so artful and talented with all skin types, face shapes, etc and also she is truly such a fun and caring soul. The makeup for myself, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my aunts turned out beautifully. She helped us all feel beautiful on the outside while also help us radiate from the inside with all her compliments and conversations and laughs. It was great to have her get us ready because she and Gem (her twin who did our hair) really brought the high energy and made me feel so relaxed before the ceremony. I had done a trial run with them and loved the look she did on the first try. About a couple weeks before the wedding, I let her know that I wanted my brows to be a bit softer to be more what I'm used to - she takes feedback super well and really created my dream look the day of. For my moms and aunts, there was a wide range of people who knew exactly what they wanted and had a lot of specific requests vs people who just gave a general vision -- Gel did an amazing job on us all no matter what. AND I never had to touch up, even though I sobbed during the ceremony and toasts and sweat a lot while dancing during the reception.
