So I placed an order about 2 weeks ago and never received my item. I called this place (should have known they were a scam when they responded with a gmail account) and they stated they had a signature on file. Not my signature but I guess some random person accepted it. Therefore I called PayPal. They provided this same random persons signature and PayPal closed the dispute. This is the thing clearly whoever USPS delivered it to is not me. How about working with me to resolve the problem? Instead this company told me now it's your problem. So now I'm hunting down USPS trying to prove they delivered it to the wrong person and that person stole my items. Does not seem like a great way to treat a customer. I absolutely love MUAC. I discovered them 2 years ago through acne.org. I did my research before making a purchase and I must admit some of the negative reviews had put me off at first, not to mention the fact that I felt like a lot of the 5 star reviews where fake. But After a couple of weeks I decided to take the plunge . At the time my only concern were my acne scars, and boy did their products make a difference. Now last year around June I started to get very nasty painful cystic acne that kept getting worse and worse by the day. It wasn't until December that I finally decided to purchase one of their 5 min peels made to target cystic acne (I don't remember the exact name of the peel) and oh my gosh , let me tell you that I'm so happy to say that as of right now January 13th, my face is almost clear. I still get a pimple or two but no more cystic acne. This wasn't a miracle over night product , the acne didn't disappear right away. I've been a client of Makeup Artists Choice for a good 8 years and would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their skin. With that said, there are two areas that need improvement. One is the fact that instructions for their various products (notably "peels") are often missing when delivered. It's both frustrating and time consuming to have to search their site for information which should have been delivered with the product. My other peeve is the lengthy wait one endures before receiving said products. It shouldn't take 10-12 days (their average) to receive a bottle of serum, especially as I live in the United States and not some far off foreign country. read more

I emailed MUAC a question about a product and received a response with in a few hours. I am very pleased with the customer service I've received. I also like that they offer small, sample sizes for purchase so that you can try all of their products before committing to the full-sized version. I am not giving 5 stars for a couple of reasons: 1. shipping is incredibly expensive. I paid $7.15 to have a very small sample sent to me. In fact, shipping cost something like 170% more than the sample I purchased. This is because they don't offer a different shipping option for small/lightweight samples vs. full sized products. This is so not customer friendly that I'm taking off another star. 2. they included a free sample of an item. This, I think, is supposed to delight customers. BUT the product they sent was something I would never use. Which means I have to throw it away. Having to throw something away/waste it, does not make me feel good. If they want to include a free sample, it would be nice if they would allow customers to choose what the sample is. Or, choose not to have one included. I am very picky about products and it is likely that 80% of what they could send would not be something I'm willing to try on my face. ---------------------- Update: In response to the company's response that they only ship priority, I'm taking off yet another star. This is because they mark-up the price of priority mail by 35% which is ridiculous. The box is free to them so I'm guessing they'll say that the 35% covers "handling". Also, USPS tracking is available on first class mail. As a business, it is quite possible that they receive discounted rates, depending on who does their business shipping. Update again: in response to the company's latest response that they don't mark-up the price of their priority mail, I'm calling them out on their BS and taking off another star. Go to the USPS website and put in a west coast zip code and an east coast zip code and you will see that flat rate shipping for a small box is $5.25 if you purchase online and $5.95 if you don't use the online option. I can't recall what type of box my item came in but if they just don't happen to use the free small flat rate box for GRAM-sized samples then in my opinion, they don't deserve anyone's business. They should do research to be sure they provide the lowest cost prices to their customers. IDK who they buy their postage through but any business with a large volume is getting discounts. I know because I'm a small volume business and have used a service to purchase online postage and received a discount lower than the online USPS rate. So again, bad customer service if they aren't researching these options for their customers and passing on savings. read more

I absolutely LOVE all the products I have gotten from MUAC! I had some age spots and acne scar discoloration so I ordered the Fade Serum. After using it for a week I started to notice the dark spots were getting lighter and now they are pretty much gone! Also I have used the Green Tea and Pomegranate cleanser, Mandelic Acid 40%, Bellevolve (perfect to apply after the peel) , Duo Stem Serum, Rosehips/ Hibiscus Scar Cream, and the Gly-luronic Serum. My best guess is the stuff is made in China and as long as the money comes in - they are happy. I discovered MUAC almost three weeks ago. I ordered a few sample products and have seen major improvement in my skin. I'm AA with dark skin and had major sun damage from walking in the Nevada sun with little to no protection. I've tried the Mandelic Acid Cleanser, Toner, Serum as well as the Mandelic/Salicylic Acid Peel (started w/samples). Also bought the regular size Micro Polish & AAA Cream. I've ordered from this company for 4 years, purchasing such items as peels and skin care products. Don't expect pretty packaging - it's all very utilitarian. The products themselves, though, are excellent and are usually far more potent than higher-end products. The PTRoth hyaluronic acid serum is one example. It contains 75% HA, but Makeup Artists' Choice HA serum contains 95%. It is a real difference in product feel and effect. Even better are the prices, which are far below the high-end retail prices. Again, the HA serums for example: PTR is $65 at Sephora, but under $30 at MUAC. Shipping is really fast, too. Oh, and you can order sample sizes of everything (I think everything. Everything I've wanted to try has come in a sample size, anyway.) I recommend MUAC all the time. If you are looking for high-quality skin care products, definitely give them a try. read more
