As someone who's skin care routine is (was!) nonexistent, I opted for the commentary. It comforting to hear what she's doing, how it should feel and what's happening. Hearing that the tingling is normal, that the gentle zapping is disinfecting your pores and that extractions suck no matter which way you do it made the process less intimidating. I never felt judged by my lack of skincare knowledge and motivated to make this a consistent routine. She sent me home with products she knew would make a good "started pack" instead of a ton of stuff that would sit unused after a few days because it was too much too soon.
