I was left with an ugly orange-red color instead. Please see the pictures for the results. Please do your research before choosing a stylist. Our hair is something precious, and we deserve quality work and proper treatment...even if it's box dyed. Unfortunately, I had to find someone else to help fix my hair, and as of right now my hair is still in really bad condition. I'm so glad I found Gigi. I booked a balayage and haircut with her, and she completely exceeded my expectations. Her studio is located in the back of Salon 405, and the space felt private, calm, and clean. The whole experience was so much better than what I've been used to. My hair came out gorgeous. I was hoping to get a new style and some highlights, possibly balayage done, and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. Thoa was so warm and kind on the phone - when I said I just wanted to walk in, she was willing to accommodate me quickly. When I got there I saw that it was simple, well kept, clean. Thoa was friendly and attentive to my inspo pictures. You never know how a new stylist will work, but from the moment I sat down she told me she could do my hair like some of the pictures and she effortlessly went to mix the colors and immediately went to work on my hair. I swear she is a total pro! No hesitation in her movements - she knew exactly what she was doing...she could do this in her sleep! She easily touched up my roots and put in my highlights with impeccable skill. So I saw an influencer post about Ai Lin so I immediately found her on instagram, texted her…read morenumber, and booked an appointment. Then I drove 7 hours from SF to come see her. This is THE place to be for anything hair-related. Truly! I've gotten my hair done (bleached, balayage, babylights, foilyage, highlights, etc) and this was my favorite experience. The salon feels very homey and gives family vibes. Just be prepared that if you're going in for any bleaching service it'll most likely be an all-day thing. But Ai Lin and everybody cares very much about the integrity of your hair and Ai Lin is very realistic about what is achievable for your hair without damaging it too much. Ai Lin works very hard (as does everybody else in this hair salon!) and is very much working on multiple people at once, but does her best to check in. I didn't see her eat or drink water once (hopefully she did!), for the whole time I was there from 10:30-6:30pm. My hair also wasn't lifting in the bottom as we expected to, as I last dyed my hair 5 years ago but we were able to make it work. She also gave me SUCH a good long layered cut! I'm very grateful to have been taken care of by such a thoughtful team and would highly recommend anybody to come here. I'll be coming back for a tone in the summer!

They have radio music in the back and it's usually throwbacks which is really nice to hear.

Haircut was $30. Also, I called before, she said blow dry is included in the price, however, during the service she said she'll dry a little but it'll cost more if I want full blow dry. I asked kindly if she could please fix the color but she said she'll charge another $120 although that's what I paid today for this really bad service. I really hate leaving bad reviews but this is super disappointing.
