I recently booked NW Hair and Makeup for my wedding in September and unfortunately was so bummed by the experience. If you're searching for a hair and makeup company for your wedding I would STRONGLY encourage you to do research and book elsewhere. I want to start by saying the entire experience with them was mediocre. I was originally supposed to get married in October of 2020 but was forced to postpone due to the pandemic and was charged $250 to change the wedding date which was a bummer but I guess I understood the circumstances. I had to change the location of "getting ready" morning of wedding which I confirmed with them no less than 3 times and when they sent over the last few email correspondences leading up to wedding they failed to spell my name correctly and continued to have the wrong location. Just thought they would be more on top of it. The morning of my wedding I was informed that they were sending a replacement hair gal who showed up about 30 minutes late. I had 5 girls in my wedding who were getting their hair done (including the MOB and MOG). Each on of them ended up fixing their hair and re doing everything after our hair girl left. I was so embarrassed and bummed that after all the money that was spent NO ONE LIKED THEIR HAIR. So disappointing. I do want to emphasis the girl I had for my wedding day trail makeup and hair was Kala and she was the BEST!! She really was so great and did such a great job on my hair and makeup. I understand it's been a difficult year for businesses but I'm so disappointed with the services based off how much money I paid! It was not cheap.... Again I'd strongly encourage anyone considering NW Hair + Makeup to book with another company. I really wish I had had a different hair+makeup experience for my wedding. read more

I would definitely give a 0 star review if I could. I had booked Whitney back in July of 2018 for my wedding on June 1, 2019. I had already paid my $600.00 deposit as well. 3 months before my wedding I received an email saying Whitney will be canceling my reservation for my wedding because her friend had picked the same date for their wedding. That makes me feel like my wedding isn't as important. I felt very disrespected due to the short notice. I am extremely disappointed by the unprofessionalism. I was excited to work with Whitney and her team, but now I am pretty relieved after the customer service I just received. read more

If you could put a person with the definition of perfect, it would be Whitney. She is beyond beautiful, sweet is an understatement and her presence is magical. I decided to get my makeup done for a dinner party, totally last minute and I was able to get booked with Whitney. Beyond happy, excited and extremely nervous. I've never had my makeup done before. She was so welcoming and made me feel at ease right away. Asked me some questions and I told her what I like and didn't like. Showed her some Pinterest pins and she went to work. I was more then blown away with my look. It literally look liked she took my pinned pictures and put them on my face!!! It was completely flawless, perfect and better then I could have ever expected. Whitney did my make up for our surprise wedding back in October. It was without a doubt the prettiest I have ever felt. We did a trial run ahead of time where we nailed exactly what I wanted, and I was certainly satisfied, but then the day of make up took it to another level. She was so easy to work with, calm (which is great on wedding day), and made sure I looked just how I imagined. I completely trust her skill, and would have her do my makeup everyday if I could! Let me start by saying that Whitney is incredible!!!!! I have been totally turned off by makeup artists before, and I have never ever liked my makeup when it's been done professionally, until now!!! They always put the wrong colors on, cake on the layers, and make me look like a different person. Not with Whitney! My goodness, I felt so pretty, and I looked like ME! Wahoo! She tried pinks that I never thought would look good on me, but she knows what shes doing, and she was right!!! She really listens to what you want, and delivers! She also did the brides makeup, and she was so happy with it that she started to tear up when she saw herself.
