I found Sonja through some gift of the universe and she responded to me immediately. She asked me questions about what I was going through via email so that she could provide me with the best massage when I came in. The massages I've had with Sonja are by far the most comforting and healing massages I've had. If you are struggling to connect with your body or heal in any way, Sonja can help make that process smoother as she is a true healer. The space is calming and peaceful. As soon as you walk in you will feel at home. She even let me borrow some of her props because she knew it would help me. She is amazing and I feel lucky to have found this practice.

I was hoping to have a nice experience here. I am so lucky. I had the best time with Dr Sonja. She told the right information of all my charkas and the problems that blocked me right now. all my energies have clear visual sights in her imagination and they were all correct. I shed my tears when she was revealing the information of all my chakras. Also, she told me exactly how to deal with the negative energies in my body to become better. She is all I need at this moment. I love her. I think I would definitely come back next year if I have the opportunity.

Upon entering, the nice lady at the front desk told us that one of us could go in if the other one wouldn't mind waiting. We said that was fine and so she went over our "sign in procedure" (reviewing body parts that we wanted more focus on or parts we wanted to avoid). Then my sister went in first and I waited in the waiting area. I was offered a whole cold bottle of water, which for some of you might feel like a standard, but I thought it was a wonderful add! The massage was great. The masseuse was polite and paused frequently to ask if I was doing okay (if I needed more or less pressure, feeling ok, etc.) She was able to get the knots I really needed to get rid of. The hot stone was presented and I said sure why not...but it didn't really do much for me. It wasn't warm enough. Though the service was good, the ending was not very consistent to the whole experience. We came in with the understanding that the price was $39.99 and with tip would be $48 each. We only brought cash with us and paid together. We handed her a $100 bill thinking we'd get back $6 after tip. I think she got confused as to why we wanted to change back. After much back and forth, we realized that the services weren't listed with updated prices. The service was $49 instead of $39. (which means if we calculated with tip, we underpaid her by $20.) We felt bad walking out because we thought we brought a 20% tip with us but we ended up only giving them $2. Just beware if you go, it's still pretty decently priced but bring extra cash or a card in case it happens to you. 1 star knock off purely for the fact that the advertised price was not the true price.

My regular practice with her was a big contributor to my physical and mental well being during some stressful periods that I was not otherwise taking good care of myself. I did duets with her as well as individual classes, and some of her workshops. Helena is kind, funny, and honest. There aren't many people I can start my day with at 7 AM, but she is one. She pushes you to stretch your limits but also encourages you to listen to your body, and watches your body and listens to you. She invests in her equipment and is constantly taking trainings and lessons with other instructors to improve and bring the best back to her clients. She does trigger point massage, which brings the pain and the results. You know that feeling after you chop off several inches of your hair, and your head feels like and you know you look amazing? MY WHOLE BODY FELT THAT WAY. It's uncomfortable but effective. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about Helena, both personally and professionally. I would be a lifelong client if not for a cross-country move.

I look forward to every session, knowing I will feel stronger and more functionally able. Helena challenges me and, with skill and encouragement, she helps me get stronger, more flexible, more agile, more self-confident in movement. This is very important to me, as a 71-year old, with 2 total knee replacements and a spinal chord injury, who has lots of bad habits from years of obesity and underuse in my relatively recent past. I live in Los Angeles, but am regularly in Cambridge where my new grandson and his parents live. I was blest to work with Helena for 6 weeks straight around when he was born. Now I can't wait to work with Helena whenever I am in town, she is amazing -- and has made a huge difference in my life.

Over time, however, it felt like the management style, particularly at the ownership level, shifted. Communication became inconsistent, and situations that once would have been handled directly and professionally were not. This was not reflective of the front desk team. Many of the therapists I connected with moved on. My most recent experience simply was not the right fit. I did not feel fully heard, and the session felt more rushed than mindful. After the session, there was no follow up or check in at all, which has never happened in any of my previous experiences here. I was tired of bouncing around, so I gave it time to see if things might improve. In the end, she agreed it was not the right fit. What was most disappointing was how it was handled. It took several calls, emails, and texts from me to learn that my sessions had been canceled less than 24 hours before my next appointment. The front desk told me the owner was supposed to call me about the cancellations and to suggest an alternative therapist, but that call never happened, and there was no follow up afterward. There was also a brief moment that stood out. I had left more than 20 percent, though less than the week before because the experience felt different. When I shared that, it was suggested that the front desk might not have passed the full amount along. That surprised me, as the front desk team has always been consistently kind, professional, and trustworthy. I want to be clear that the front desk staff are excellent. They make scheduling seamless, communicate thoughtfully, and create a welcoming environment every time you walk in. I am writing this because I cared about this place. I used to genuinely look forward to coming here. Moving on feels like losing something familiar, almost like losing a friend. I would still welcome a one on one conversation with the owner, as I would have appreciated that before. I hope the practice finds its way back to what once made it so special.

However, once I stepped inside the gorgeous studio space I felt reassured that I had made the right decision in coming to see here. The decor is Thai themed with rich red and orange, with copious quantities of natural light from the four windows. Mary was warm and welcoming, getting me some water flavored with a hint of fresh ginger and lime juice as I filled out my intake form. After that, we sat and talked for awhile about how I was feeling, my history with bodywork, etc. I feel like she got a really thorough understanding of where I was at and how to best address my needs. As for the massage, I had never had a Thai massage before, so I didn't know what to expect but I think Mary made a convert out of me! It was totally different than anything I've had before. It started with me laying on my back, on a shiatsu mat on the floor, then Mary proceeded to not only massage me but also place me in a variety of stretches that were both challenging and deeply relaxing. By the end I was in a dream-like state, feeling calm and restored, ready to go back into the world. I never feel rushed, and am always invited to hang out, have some water, and chat until I'm ready to go. She makes sure I get the amount of massage time I came for, sometimes running over. I have since come back for more 90 minute sessions, especially if I know I'm going to have a rough week ahead of me. After Mary is done with me I'm pretty sure I'm a little taller than when I first walked in the door.
