Wow! Where do I begin?! This gem is hidden is in a shopping mall with other little restaurants and shops.. while there are may selections, this restaurant must be on your Top 5 for Mexican food. When you walk in, you can experience the tap wall with a wide variety of beers and their menu is to die for. They have a wonderful variety. I had the privilege of trying the Coastal Cure which is such a fresh ceviche. The fresh mahi-mahi had a nice balance of taste and blended nicely with the ingredients. What makes this dish unique is that it is served with plantain chips. I also had Los Tacos which is 4 street tacos with Angie's beef. Absolutely tasty. Their in house salsa has the right balance of flavor. All items are freshly made and sourced locally. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so kind and recommended dishes based on preference. That was so helpful. The ambiance is one of relaxation. If you're looking for a place to kick back, drink some beer and eat amazing food, this is the place to come

    Hazy ipa and fruited sour.

Our first visit here and we are impressed. The friendly staff, excellent beer selection and amazing food option. The menu is small but the dishes are top notch. We were lucky enough to get some guidance from one of the owners on how to pour a nitro beer for the fullest flavor and let me tell you it made a huge difference. Y'all hurry in here and check it out.

Growing up in the RGV, I consider this the OG Mr Taco location. This is a must stop when visiting…read morethe valley. The frijoles especiales, tacos de bistek & pastor are mouthwatering. They pack on the tacos with topping every single time. Their fresh limonada and salsa verde is delish too. Still #1 taqueria in the RGV, in my opinion!

When my drink order was taken I asked if they had tap water instead of bottled waters which they were selling. She said no but I was welcomed to bring down my water bottle from the car if I had one. Which was really appreciated. The establishment was busy, parking lot was crowded and restroom was clean. The tacos were overly greasy so I'd recommend asking for "A La Plancha" or Tacos "saludables" which is oil from the when the tortillas are warmed on the grill and saludables would be a healthy option. They didn't taste any special or have a WOW presentation but they are 100% authentic and simple. Truthfully, I ended up getting Food Poisoning from the poor handling of food; the meat genuinely didn't feel cooked throughly. The order was rushed out within 7mins max and that was concerning. You do have to order everything separately to complete your meal which isn't a problem as most of the crowd seemed to comply to how the Buisness sells their products. Would I recommend this location on a busy day? No. Would I say maybe it was a long shift or just a bad cook that night? Maybe. Would I recommend them for The Valleys Best Tacos: Absolutely Not. I also don't plan on returning again but hope they improve how they handle their food.
