I thought it was ear wax, but she told me differently. She prescribed Amoxicillin and Neomycin and the 7 days I took it I felt so ill. My body wasn't taking the antibiotics well. Fast forward to this week, I wanted a professional evaluation and went to go see Dr.Kim. The office staff were very welcoming and kind. Dr.Kim and the other nurses listened to my words. When Dr.Kim looked into my ear she said there was fluid and wax in there. She suctioned my ear up and a few minutes later I am HEARING AGAIN out of my left ear!!!! I was so happy with joy I thought I was going to cry. Almost. Dr.Kim is awesome and so very kind. I am so happy right now that she fixed my problem. As for the pills, I was taking them for no reason thanks to the other doctor at Piedmont Urgent Care. I am happy right now so I don't even care about it anymore. I am well again thanks to Dr.Kim and the staff at ENT of Georgia. Thank you so very much!

She is absolutely kind, knowledgable, caring, helpful, and does a very excellent job of treating all of her patients. I came to her with severe nasal congestion and nasal drainage. She examined the inside of my nose on my very visitation with her as well as ask me if I had any sinus pressure, ear pain, or headaches. I told her that I did not, and she explained to me that I did have a sinus infection on my first visit. So, she prescribed me a strong antibiotic and a nasal spray. I have taken all of the antibiotic that she has prescribed me as well as used the nasal spray and it helped a whole lot. I started to have relief just after two days. When I went back to her for a follow up visit, she inserted her nasal light up inside of my nose and then irrigated (suctioned) each one of my own sinus cavities. She also sprayed the inside of my nose and then to a sample culture for testing. She called me back Friday afternoon with the results and told me exactly what kind of bacterial sinus infection that I had and to inform me to take the remaining antibiotics. I have done just that. When she suctioned and irrigated both of my nasal cavities, I had a lot more immediate relief. I have also continued to take nasal spray afterwards as she advised and recommended. It has been close to a whole week and today I am 100% better and free from my own sinus infection and it is all because of Dr. Jenny Kim. She has sped up and shortened the duration my suffering. Dr. Kim has never rushed through any of my own appointments and visits with her at all. She has always taken plenty of time with treating and not rushing at all. Dr. Kim truly is an excellent, knowledgable, and wonderful Otolaryngologist with a true passion and a true love for the kind of medicine that she practices. She also treats all of her patients extremely well and with lots of care. I absolutely do highly recommend her. She is simply the best!

He did an exam and determined I had a small cyst on my vocal cord. We scheduled the surgery and when he was in there it revealed two tiny nodules instead of one small cyst. He removed them and I was onto recovery! Fast forward 14 years and I have my first ever bout of laryngitis. I went to an otolaryngologist in San Francisco for a vocal check since I was not recovering as fast as I hoped. The doctor said she never would have known I had surgery on my vocal cords. There was no scar tissue and no sign of a scar at all! She was very impressed. I owe my career and my sanity to Dr. Koriwchak. I am a new patient of Dr. Jenny Kim. I saw her for the very first time last week. She prescribed me a very good strong antibiotic and a good nasal spray for my sinus infection. The both of them worked well as well as wonderfully. I just want to say first off, that the staff at ENT of Georgia is very professional, kind, and respectful to their patients. I have been to two of their locations, their Saint Joseph's location and their Decatur (Irvin Court) location. The staff at these two locations have treated me with only nothing but kindness, respectfulness, as well as professionalism. The nurses are all wonderful and professional. Dr. Kim is absolutely an excellent physician and is completely knowledgeable about Otolaryngology (ears, nose, and throat). When I have met her for the very first time, she has never just rushed through my own appointment with her. She took the time to examine myself, my condition, and give me an excellent and correct diagnosis. I have seen her again for the second time today and she has treated my sinus infection in her office by spraying the inside of my sinus cavities and then suctioning our all of the remaining mucous that had been blocking and clogging my sinus cavities. As soon as she was done suctioning my sinus cavities, my sinus cavities we 100% clear and I could finally smell and breath through my nose again. This ENT practice is very nice as well as nicely organized as well. I love this ENT practice and will not go anywhere else for my Otolaryngology problems at all. I was referred to one of the physicians in this practice by my Internal Medicine physician who…read morethinks I need surgery. I called on a Monday morning to make an appointment. I got the voicemail for the appointment desk. I left a detailed message (as requested). I heeded their voicemail about not leaving a second message, believing the other part of their message that they would return my call. I called on Tuesday, got the same VM but didn't leave a message. Repeated on Wednesday, still... straight to voicemail. On Thursday, I did get a live person. I requested the appointment, gave answers to the medical reason I needed one, and was told the first available is 6 weeks. Okay, fine. I gave her all of the information she requested, but since I was driving at the time, I told her I would have to give her my insurance ID number later -- because I was driving. She snippily said "well, I cannot confirm the appointment until you get that to me. I need to verify you have the insurance and network before I can make the appointment." I replied that I had already confirmed that before calling, gave her the Carrier and plan, and that I am in the Northside system, where she can pull me up. She then got snippier. I replied, you know what, since making this appointment has cost me quite a bit of time and been a complete hassle, forget it, I will go to another ENT practice in town. I have never had to have this information on had to make an appointment. If a practice is accepting new patience (read: CUSTOMERS), they need to make the process easier. They are in fact a business with the goal of making money, yet physician's and their practice managers often forget that customer service is important. How many times to do we all have to wait 15m 30 or 45 minutes plus for our appointments, even when we arrive early as requested to fill out paperwork every time?! I am sick of it.

It has modernized a relatively old school practice like never before. Dr. Jackson is an encyclopedia of knowledge when it comes to everything Ear, Nose, and Throat, and his associates are just as stellar. They have an in-office Sinus CT so you don't have to get outside medical imaging if needed. They are conveniently located. However, they DO NOT validate parking, which bothers me this day and age. They also utilize the WellStar MyChart system for their patient portal.

After years of suffering with asthma, allergies and nosebleeds, I finally received the news that I…read moreneeded Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. I put it off for 3 or 4 years, because everyone I asked about it advised me not to do it. After having the worst nosebleed (it took an hour to control), and 2 days of nasal packing, I knew I needed something to change. Dr. Joshua Downie assured me that while all surgeries have risks, a septoplasty and turbinate reduction would help. I had my surgery 2 weeks before Christmas 2015. My recovery period was not that bad. For the first week, it's important to take all of your meds and rinse your sinuses ON TIME! The antibiotics, pain meds and steriods do a number on your tummy. But lots of soup, smoothies, jello, pudding and Icees will keep you full. Keep plenty of lip balm. A light swab of mineral oil and your saline solution every hour or so will keep your nose moist. After day 3, I could tell the immediate difference. It's been almost 10 months, and I haven't had an upper respiratory infection or sinus infection. I still have a runny nose associated with my allergies, but an occasional neti pot rinse and Zyrtec do the trick every time. Dr. Downie is young, efficient, and knows what he's doing. You will love him and won't regret any treatment he recommends.
