I felt like splurging at the time and was impressed on how careful and considerate she was in protecting against spreading any kind of infection. Not to mention that I became instantly hooked on lash extensions! I do a Hybrid, which looks natural and lasts 3 weeks with care. Vivian and her staff, Madison and JazmenGlory, all do precise and careful work, besides being lovely ladies. So when Vivian decided to train to do permanent lip blush, I didn't hesitate to be a model. I was confident she would again do precise and careful work. But permanent make-up is a more difficult procedure than lash extensions! Vivian was so patient with me in choosing a color and lip outline that would give the natural look I wanted. And it worked! Vivian is the lead lash/ business owner there, and she has been a pleasure to get my eyelashes from. We not only have gotten to know each other really well, but I feel so comfortable with her while my eyes are closed for hours at a time. Getting your eyelashes can look/ feel uncomfortable at first, but Velvet Lash has the best glue, technique, and place to get your lashes done that I have ever gone to. My eyes have NEVER hurt, or burned after my lash extension process. The salon has good parking and is easy to get to. The chandeliers, the pink fur, and the scented bathroom are just some of the many touches that make this lash salon so lovely. Whether you are in the area or not, it is worth calling and talking to Vivian. She is so warm and friendly and will answer all the questions you might have. The massage and pedicure were amazing, and I was very happy with the quality of the work. I chose short, coffin-shaped French tip nails, and I loved how they turned out. Before starting, I was informed that the extra nail on my big toe would be an additional $10, which I understood and agreed to. However, when it came time to pay, my bill was about $50 higher than expected. I was then told there was an extra $10 charge for the coffin shape, even though I had been told beforehand there was no additional charge for that. I was also charged $10 for length, despite my nails being short, and another $10 for the French tip, even though the package I selected already included French tips. When I questioned the charges, it seemed there was some confusion among the staff. Instead of correcting what appeared to be an error, the charges were explained in a way that still didn't fully account for the total. I left feeling unclear about where the additional costs came from. Unfortunately, that experience lost me as a customer. It was disappointing because I had just moved to the area and was hoping this would become my regular nail salon. Paying $120 for basic short French tip nails, with so many unexpected extra charges, did not feel transparent or professional. Out of respect for their business, I didn't make a scene in the store and still left a tip. However, I do hope they improve their pricing transparency so future customers know exactly what to expect.
