Never disappointed with Malciut's! We usually try to get there to eat at least once a year or so. My husband and I had a nice date night enjoying the delectables: steak, fish, and pasta. They have great steaks and for some reason, I love the spaghetti side! Will be back, as always!

Literally the best steak I have ever eaten. Either get the big or little filet, you won't regret it!

Butter cake. Is…read morethere anything else that needs to be spoken?!? Butter cake is a thing my dreams are made of. It is warm. It is a beautiful fluffy texture that is saturated with flavor and absolutely melts in your mouth. This place is a fancy restaurant that we snuck into on a day off. We didn't have reservations but were able to be accommodated quickly without one. The steak was good but not anything I feel like needs to be focused on (I know a steak house) I got the delmonico and honestly I wasn't impressed at all. My partners was delicious though so I think it was just a matter of the cut I got. We got the artichoke dip and it was good too but nothing out of this world. But the butter cake. I would pay $65 for a steak I didn't even finish for that butter cake any day of my life. So yes this is a 5 star review of a place I had average (now my average is likely ground breaking food... I am a true food snob) food at and paid $200 for the meal without alcohol, because of the butter cake. Other notes: our server was awesome too and the ambiance is definitely ON POINT! Really lovely place. Unfortunate my steak wasn't better, but I can see that it's a good place and that dessert is top 3 in my life. Loved it!!!

Last night we visited what is positioned as a local high-end steakhouse for a business dinner…read more Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what the price point and reputation suggest. The meal started poorly and never really recovered. The lamb chops were undersized for the price, leaving the impression that the plate was built more around presentation than value. The pork belly was especially disappointing. It was so tough it could not be cut cleanly with a knife and had to be pulled apart in layers just to eat it. A salad dressing that was requested never arrived. The entrées were the biggest letdown. Four steaks at the table were overcooked. My $65 Delmonico was particularly disappointing. It looked and tasted like an overcooked pork chop from the 1970s rather than a properly prepared premium steak. At this level, temperature and execution should not be questionable. They should be the baseline. The sides did not help. The steamed vegetables were cooked well past the point of being enjoyable. The yellow squash was so soft and mushy that the only real clue it was squash was the skin. Because this was a business dinner, most of the group simply made the best of it and ate what was served rather than disrupt the evening. But after spending around $500, the disappointment was hard to ignore. A restaurant charging high-end steakhouse prices has to deliver more than a nice room and a premium menu. It has to execute. Based on this experience, we will not be bringing clients or business guests back.

They ranged from sweet to boozy. It was a nice variety that offered something for everyone. For dinner I tried the crab crusted salmon. It was a good pairing, but the salmon without the crab left something to be desired. The Chophouse offers a vegan/vegetarian menu, but you do have to ask for it. One of the featured items on that menu was the ratatouille. It was fantastic and I would certainly recommend it. For sides I greatly enjoyed the Caesar salad, which was not too fishy, and the whipped Yukons were a delight. Large parties can be a challenge, but regardless I found the service to be a bit inconsistent. Though always friendly, we had to remind our server of items that we had asked for on more than one occasion. Near the end of the meal it seemed that the bussers were pushing for us to wrap things up and get out, despite not having been there for a terribly long time. We were asked multiple times if certain items could be cleared while we were still eating them. They just didn't seem to have a good feel for this. There certainly were some strong dishes and I wouldn't hesitate to go again, though it would be on a special occasion as they are certainly not cheap.

The grounds were gorgeous and 2 of these stars simply go to Oscar, the resident cat mascot here. Oscar walked the hilly trail with us and accompanied us on our tour of the grounds. It was so sweet and he was so friendly and plump and surprisingly agile. My BF was so enamored with Oscar that we might have to stay at one of the honeycomb suites just to lure Oscar into staying a night with us, LOL! So back to the restaurant here--wow! I'm not easily impressed with fine dining or upscale American fare but this place gave me a great experience. We didn't have reservations but they were able to offer us the last table for two. The ambiance was classy, modern with a classic twist and filled with complementary lighting for that romantic view. Our waiter was animated, warm and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. The free "bread" that was offered was so unique and good we bought a second helping. I had a clams tapas dish that had a good enough portion to keep me full! BF and I were impressed with the taste, presentation, speed of service and menu selection. It was more upscale but not overly expensive. Just wonderful. Would love to come back just to try their brunch.

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.
