I can't say enough good things about Maldonado Nursery-Landscape-Irrigation and the staff. I read a bunch of bad reviews on here after we used this company so, I am shocked that people feel that way about them. I completely disagree as like everything in life you can't please, everyone out there! We had a bunch of gravel delivered to our Ranch as we were re-doing our driveway. We stopped and immediately got pricing, and we were able to see the difference in the gravels inside there store which was so handy. Plus, you could see the pricing differences. We were able to get set-up on delivery and they came out at the time promised and worked with my husband to unload the dump truck in a couple spots instead of a big pile. So, that was so helpful. We ended up buying more and just made a call and they showed up once again as promised. The owner even was the driver which feels good to help someone local. If we re-do our landscape, I would stop there to get a quote. I would highly recommend giving this company a try despite the other comments. Juan is great! Designed my backyard xeriscape with flagstone patio, beautiful! Knew just where and what plants to put so they complement . From the moment we walked in,there was someone helping us,answering our questions and even taking us right to the plants we were looking for! I don't remember the "new girls" name,but she was great! Stay away from this organization. I had them do a corner of my backyard with a tree and 16 bushes, two fruit trees, a walking area from the gate to the backyard with slate and river rock, fill the grass area with dirt to make the yard level, and a pad for my trash cans. Only to find out after they finished that they do not guarantee their work or materials. I had asked Juan the project manager to come and revise the project with us after completion. This was never done. He just left us hanging and wondering if it would ever be completed to our satisfaction. I paid your price thinking I would get a professionally completed project. But it seems to me they do not care about customer satisfaction. I expected Juan would come out and revise the project with me after completion. To ensure everything was what we discussed. He never called or showed up. I was told he was missing from work for two weeks. This seems to be a shady organization. I paid a lot for this job only to be treated badly by the staff. I would like to speak to the owner about their terrible customer service and organization. Now I will have to hire someone to come and fix the inferior workmanship they left me with. read more

NO STARS!!! (Yelp req'd I post at least one star) I've been working with Maldonado Nursery in Seguin since late 2019 on a DIY landscaping project. I started with 2 deliveries of dirt (about 12+ cu. yards & $500+ for each load). That worked out pretty well. After tilling and spreading the dirt, I was ready for plants. I did my research and ordered over 100 plants. I waited over 2 weeks for a phone call to let me know the price on my order and to schedule delivery. Each week I called, they promised to call me back soon - - but no call. Suddenly I get a call to deliver the plants (never having previously received a call or price). So OK - I agree to accept the delivery and spend over $1,300 on the plants. Delivery went well but after counting the plants, I was short 3 plants (approx. $25). When I called to tell them, the office person was very nice BUT then I got a call from the manager who was VERY RUDE and not willing to make good on the missing plants. Seems they're willing to lose a customer over 3 missing plants. Not sure the company's owners would be happy about their manager's treatment of customers. read more

I contacted this nursery in April to come out, take a look at my landscaping project and get an estimate. The lady that answered the phone was rude and acted as though I was wasting her time. She stated they were very busy and didn't know when they'd be able to come out...maybe 2-3 months. I asked to be added to their list, anyway, which was met with a sigh. In any case, I ended up going elsewhere and was never contacted regarding a quote. Would never consider their services again and I do not recommend. read more

My experience is in line with several others on this page regarding responsiveness and customer service. It was difficult to get attendant's attention on my first visit there and when I finally did, I was essentially blown off. My name and number were taken down with the promise of a quote that never came. After three calls from me over four days to secure a quote with no follow up from them, I gave up and went elsewhere. read more

Went to this nursery to look at the various plants, it was beautifully kept and the plants were very healthy and beautiful. You can find a huge collection here, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. read more

Disappointed that Maldonado's won't be more professional and support their installations. They planted 18 Olive tree$$$ w irrigation for us but only 4 survived. We've asked them to come see problems, said they would,but no show!! We won't use them again. read more

our property mgmt company has the contract for us with Meldanado at Reflections at Walnut Creek ll. just take a look at the grounds of Reflections l and lll and you'll see what happens when a bad mgmt company "contracts" a poorly run landscape company we lost a lot of our vegetation when our water was turned off for a year and the freeze. however; the only cleanup has been done by owners. all Mondalino does is blow leaves and trim down what weeds we have ( all over the property). our community has never looked this bad and the board and mgmt co are asking owners to pay for new vegetation. We're now paying for an irrigation assessment that we were told did not need owner votes (???) higher dues, and paying too much every month for landscaping. Where is the money going? if, like the workers of Maldonado say; we are only allowed to do so much per Pioneer; then where is our money going?? who's fault is our awful landscaping; Maldonado for not doing the job on their contract OR Pioneer's " leadership?" and never being here in person to follow up? Maldonado looks very bad and it may be their fault by not following their contract. read more
