The seats (although I didn't sit down) are super comfortable. The stage is a nice size, in no way close to an amphitheater stage but about double the size of a venue like Spaceland. The lobby upstairs is sizable and inviting with views of the ocean. I was lucky enough to volunteer for the Moby (yes, THAT Moby) concert and was able to go all over. The Performing Arts Center is also a recording studio. Apparently, artists with large posses will rent out the entire center. There is a nice backstage area with a small changing room, a kitchen and a bigger backroom attached to the stage. There is also a large room to the left of the stage (where the after party was). The offices and banquet room, as well as the recording studio, are upstairs. It must still be fairly new as everything is in pristine condition. Even if you aren't fortunate enough to see a world-class-act here, it's still a great place for any event or soiree. And yes, I did get to say hello to Moby. He is one nice guy.

Flight wine Saddlerock: Syrah, Cab, KOM, and Res Cab. Syrah was the on the dry side (as it is known to be) and not as sweet. Still really good. The KOB was a combination and it was delicious. That was my fav out of the batch. I also bought water for $5 but it's a big bottle of sparkling water; Not tap. My total here was $64 paid with my card and closed my tab. For the following rounds, I paid cash: I had two rounds of IPA beer: both were really good in my opinion. "Pliny the elder" by Russian river IPA and "food fight" by common space. Glass was $10-11each 16oz Lastly, I ordered a charcuterie cheese and crackers which was $28 the board itself was very cute and decorated nicely. It took a little convincing to get my friends on board, and since they weren't too excited about getting there right when it started, we arrived late enough to only play the last three games. By the third game, we were completely invested... and then, lo and behold, I won! What?! That was such a fun surprise and definitely made the night even more memorable. The venue has plenty of room to spread out, the setup was very professional, and the host kept everyone entertained with dad jokes between every number. Whether it's a concert, special event, or bingo night, I always have a great time here. We'll definitely be back for another bingo adventure. The Canyon Club continues to be one of my favorite venues, and it never disappoints! Good luck topping that bingo win next time!

We spent nearly $400 between reserved tickets, dinner, and drinks because we wanted the full experience. Reserved seating requires dining at the venue, so we expected a comfortable atmosphere and professional service. Instead, the air conditioning wasn't working. The venue never informed guests before seating us or acknowledged it during the evening. We sat through dinner in unbearable heat until we simply couldn't take it anymore. We ended up abandoning the reserved table we paid for and moved into the general admission area just to escape the heat and enjoy the show. While we were dancing, we placed our drinks on an empty chair because there wasn't anywhere else to set them. They accidentally tipped over and spilled. Rather than simply cleaning up the spill, the staff who responded were confrontational and got in my fiancé's face. It was completely unnecessary and incredibly unprofessional over what was obviously an accident. My fiancé went to speak with the manager, and we weren't the only ones. Several other guests were also expressing concerns about both the unbearable conditions and the way staff were treating customers. Unfortunately, the manager couldn't have seemed less interested. There was no apology, no empathy, and no attempt to make anything right. Despite expecting customers to spend significant money on dinner and drinks, they offered absolutely nothing in response to the broken air conditioning, not even complimentary water or a gesture of goodwill. Mechanical issues happen. What separates a good venue from a bad one is how they respond. Unfortunately, The Canyon failed on every level: communication, customer service, and management. I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this experience earned it. We won't be returning, and after reading other reviews when we got home, I wish we had looked into the venue before buying tickets. Hopefully this review helps others avoid making the same mistake we did by choosing this venue. There are plenty of great places to see live music where customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

The Hillcrest Center is part of the Park Districts facility, tucked up on the hill. I had never been there before, and there is construction, and other challenges to getting to the facility, such as the entrance is on a side street, not on Hillcrest itself. But you will be glad you make the trip. Classes there are put on by the Conejo Recreation and Park District, and include classes for young musicians, and the opportunity to also review an art exhibit on premises. Sam Herbert as Evan, Carly Shukiar as Patrice and Antonia Vivino as Lucy had exceptional voices and terrific stage presence. Yet, along with these key roles, every single cast member could sing, dance, emote, act, and wow the audience with their talent. What my boyfriend and I continue to say to one another is, "Wow,,, the!se are only kids,,,, young people,,,what will they be like as adults? They can't get much better than this?" If you want an evening of high energy, talent, joy, tears and top-notch entertainment, THIS IS THE SHOW TO GO TO! Admission is $20 for a family of up to five, and the shows are designed for kids ages 0 to 8. They're fun, interactive, and super engaging, with the performers involving the children throughout the performance. It's such a lovely way to introduce the little ones to live Shakespeare theater in a playful, welcoming setting.

Bar service is easy too, there were 3 different bars to choose from so we were able to head to the ones with the shortest lines. Drinks are a bit pricey though. Wonderful show, so much fun!!!! There's no free street parking nearby, so you'll most likely have to pay $16 to park in the lot there. You're not allowed to bring in food or drinks because they sell those items inside, and they also probably don't want you bringing in anything that isn't permitted. They had plenty of staff working the event, from security guards to ushers, helping people find their seats. As for the ambience, the place was well-decorated throughout the inside it was actually really nice. I would definitely recommend it if there's a show you want to see and it's being held at the Civic Arts Plaza. Don't hesitate to buy those tickets just be aware that you'll probably have to pay for parking.

Absolutely loved the Getty Villa…read more Half a century ago, J. Paul Getty rebuilt this Roman-style villa on the Malibu coast, inspired by the ancient Villa of the Papyri, to showcase his collection of Greek and Roman antiquities. The architecture is beautiful -- Roman frescoes, marble columns, peaceful gardens, and sculptures throughout the villa make you feel like you've stepped back in time. The cliffside location is also incredible, especially around sunset when you can enjoy the view of the Pacific with California's golden sky. What I love most is how calm and timeless this place feels. The architecture and the collection are elegant, understated, and never overwhelming. Admission is free (reservation required), and parking is $25 per vehicle. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Malibu or looking for a peaceful cultural experience.
