Visited this location today was told to sit anywhere so I did then noticed people come in after me waitresses proceeded to serve them leaving me to sit and wait with no menu or drink. Then happened to notice they forgot about me Now if the place was busy I could definitely understand but it wasn't. Eventually a waitress takes my order then tries to fill me up on coffee for the next 40 mins I had to tell her no more I wanted my food 10 mins later the food comes I was sadly mistaken of what I order I guess extra Ham is 1 slice on top of the 1 slice they give you the eggs are supposed to be over easy and there just over the potatoes are half brown and raw the best thing about the meal was the coffee Idk but will be the last time I come back Sad tho because this place used to be quality food and service read more

Avoid at all costs. Health department needs to be (will be contacted). Insects found in a gyro and a grilled cheese sandwich sitting inside the locked toilet toilet paper dispenser in the men's washroom. The mangers didn't have the courtesy to come speak to us when we asked for them and complained. They sent the waitress back with excuses of new management, but not even an apology. I sought out the mangers, showed the pictures I had taken and questioned why they didn't want to speak to our concerns and we were shuffled out of the restaurant quickly so others wouldn't hear. Well, I'm sorry, but I cannot find anything good to say about a delivered, local restaurant Mother's Day meal. We were excited about having Malibu's usually tasty meals. That was not the case. The food was mostly thrown in the garbage. Ordered: Chicken Souvlaki Dinner with Fries; Deep Fried Mozzarella Sticks; Small Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken; Garlic Bread with Cheese The chicken souvlaki wasn't spiced, it was dry, cold and burnt. Fries were cold. The greek salad lacked red onion and had only two kalamata olives. The tzatziki sauce tasted like something you threw out yesterday. The mozza sticks were tough, dry and seemed old. The dip tasted like vomit. Yes, you read that right. The caesar was mostly romaine leaf spines with little dressing that tasted suspiciously off, and chicken that was cold, dry, tough and practically inedible. The garlic toast was just as you would imagine at this point. Tough, cold, dry, flavourless and quite unappealing. We are being asked to support local businesses during the lockdown. I get it, the meal would have probably been better in the restaurant. But with this kind of unappealing food being served, it's going to be a tough sell. read more

When I lived in London, I've passed by this place mad number of times, but never actually went. While I was in London last weekend, my friends forced me to come here for brunch on Sunday, super hungover. The decor was pretty standard diner fare, with green booths and sea shells carved into the booths. We had: 1. The Pork Souvlaki Pita - actually really good. The pita was mad soft, props for that. The pork was plentiflul. The only downside was I found there to be too much tzaziki sauce, which was a bit to yogurty for my taste. 2. My friends had the spinach cheese omelette, the cheese omellete, the eggs benny, and the two eggs with peameal. Everyone seemed satisfied, I was too hungover to try though. 3, I also ordered a gin and tonic, but they ran out of tonic and had to use soda. Thats fine. 4. I've been here a few times and I've had a good experience. My boyfriend came here after we were both done work, and too exhausted to cook anything. I have been to the Malibu on the north end several times for breakfast and it was always good, so being on this side of town, we'd thought we'd stop for dinner. We walked in, and twice had been seated right away, didn't have to wait long at all. The restaurant was pretty quiet and empty when we arrived around 7:00pm, so we had a huge booth to ourselves. Waitress had come a few moments later with water, asked if we wanted another beverage and if we were ready to order or needed time. Knowing exactly what we wanted, we ordered, and one by one, the coffee, which was your standard diner coffee, not bad, and side caesar salad, and our meals came out. The serving size were big, and I couldn't finish my entire meal, so I had it boxed up to go home for tomorrow. I had the grilled chicken caesar wrap and my boyfriend had the club sandwich with fries. Both very tasty, fries were hot, sandwich and wrap were tasty. Dinner ended up being about $40 after tip for the both of us. Service was good, waitress was nice and helpful. Not a bad place to go if you randomly want quick, easy diner food. read more

The Malibu is our new 'go-to' breakfast place. A special price on the standard 2 eggs, toast, home fries and meat for $3.99 can't be beat. And their egg cook is a PRO - knows and serves perfect over easy, over medium and over hard. I know. I've tested him. Cooking eggs is an art, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyways. I ordered the lasagna and it was a microwaved bowl of cheese meat and grease; I could absorb the grease with the toast and butter they claimed to be garlic bread. I haven't even left the restaurant and I'm putting my review in. Very disappointed with this restaurant and my experience today. Knowing that it is hard to service a large group of 25, I called the restaurant in advance to give them notice. That was all for naught though as they were unprepared to accommodate us. Despite being very transparent with the owner that we had a short window of time, we waited 65 minutes to get our food. We had 15 kids in the group who were losing their minds! We continually watched other diners get their orders before ours even though those diners arrived well after us. They kept saying our food was coming up, but it wasn't. In the end, the restaurant just scrambled and started putting food down anywhere. About 50% of the orders were wrong. Do yourselves a favour and be honest with your prospective diners. Not sure if the location on Dundas is connected to the one on Wonderland South and if it isn't I will apologize for this review in advance. This review is for the Wonderland South location which opened up about 6 or 8 months ago. We have had breakfast there a few times, pretty good. Nice decor and the wait staff is pleasant. However; I've had lunch several times over the past month or so and each time it got progressively worse. Today was no exception and it will be the last time. The fish sandwich special was horrible, soggy, stale bread and weird toppings. My granddaughter ordered a hamburger off the kids menu. It came full size, overcooked (and warmed up), awful. She took one bite. Even the coffee was lukewarm and a bit stale. And to top it off it was extremely expensive for a diner style restaurant. read more

This place has been around since ... well, forever. It is truly a London landmark and I really don't make it down here very often. But I should. It's a throwback to another era and is a typical 60's style greasy spoon diner. But it really is quite good. That being said, for some reason I thought it was far cheaper than it ended up being. Not that I'm complaining, we enjoyed our meal very much and the service was friendly and was good. I'm thinking a sandwich with fries and a drink will run you about $12 or so. Which when you really think about it is not that far off a fast food place nowadays and this place is SO much better than that. It's mostly breakfasts and club sandwiches and the like - with a few Greek and Italian entrees thrown in for good measure. The decor has not been updated in some time but if you ask me that just adds to its charm. Sure, my son asked for no tomato on his clubhouse and got them but it was a pretty easy fix. They even offered to make him a new one but there was really no need. It was a good meal, with friendly and mostly timely service. Love Malibu! Lots to eat, all delicious, and cheap! Don't get me wrong, this isn't your fancy restaurant, It's a fast paced, family run diner. Sometimes you have to wait for a seat and you don't always have a waitress at your table every few seconds - but the food and the price are worth it! Especially hungover! (Just read another review -- I've also found a hair in my food before and the waitress was more then happy to bring it back to the kitchen and get me a new plate - as well as was very apologetic and understanding to the situation. This is my new favorite London restaurant! Not expensive, but the food was great and the staff was friendly. I had a chicken wrap with fries, and I was surprised at how filling it was!
