Other friends said she was also very rude to them as well. Plus her outfit was not appropriate for an evening wedding. Total Unprofessional I hope that the management and members help coach her so others don't experience her rudeness!!

The grounds are quite exceptional and often are updated regularly. The golf course looks amazing with amazing greens. If you golf, like myself, you'd wish you had your clubs to try out the course. The country club has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a restaurant, and other amenities and activities that many is synonymous to exclusive members of this club (and they don't just accept anyone). Friends and family can be a guest of any members at the club. That's always a plus. From I was told, the club restaurant menu changes somewhat regularly, but members can always count on getting one of the best steaks anywhere. The staff members are courteous, friendly, and very helpful. Definitely a cut above the standard. If you ever get a chance to visit The Little Rock Country Club, then do so. The tee boxes were nicely done; the fairways were cut just right; and the greens, while not our favorite kind of grass, were consistent and in good condition. The Pro in the shop gave us a great overview of the course ... keeping our balls straight down the fairways, and prepared us for the challenging doglegs. The par 5 18th hole was certainly tough with an uphill right-angled dogleg to finish. We highly recommend it!

The greens were so slow because of not being cut in a long time. Any other golf course would close the greens and repair them. The fairways had weeds growing in the middle of them and where there weren't weeds it was rocks and hard pan dirt.It was a pretty miserable round of golf that we paid $57 per person.

I booked the lodge on line and thought it would meet my needs. Well, it did not. At $90 plus a night in Glenwood, Arkansas, you would expect something pretty good. It wasn't. First of all, the guest lodge is 2 miles down a dirt road from the clubhouse and front desk. So if you need another key, or if there is a problem you either have to drive back to the desk OR call and hope they can send someone to you to help. If you lock yourself out and do not have a cell phone you are SOL as there is no one around to help. Second, when I drove over to the lodge (I was assigned the "older" building which appeared to be a converted house) and let myself in, the woman who happened to be there cleaning informed me that the water was not drinkable because there had been a water main break in town and there was a boil order. Funny thing was that the two people that checked me in did not mention that. So this meant a trip into town to get a gallon of water and a bag of ice. If she hadn't been working when I got there I could very well be listing dysentery as one of my complaints. Third, the common kitchen area REEKED of old cooking odors and general mustiness. Fourth, even though I was only one of a couple of rooms occupied, they gave me a depressing, dark old room that was basically at the basement level with a high window that looked out at a brick wall. Fifth, the "gazebo" area that had the hot tub was dirty and furnished with broken and musty furniture. I didn't dare lift the lid to the hot tub and check it out. Sixth, as I checked out I mentioned to the man working that I was less than enthused about my accommodations. He chuckled and advised me to "stay in the newer building next time." There will be no next time. I do not in any way shape or form recommend this place as a place to stay over night unless you plans are to play golf, get drunk, and crash.

My shot of "Crown Royal" was NOT Crown Royal. I've been drinking it for 40 years. The bartender poured it from a Crown Royal bottle, but it was not the Crown Royal I have been drinking all my life. Maybe the manager needs to check & see if some fake junk is being poured into the bottles from the actual liquor provider. I can't believe the bartender or staff would do this on purpose. But it was definitely not Crown or anything near it. It was just a real strange mistake, as far as the bar product is concerned. We were just visitors, not regulars. We didn't mention the crummy whiskey switcharoo to anybody. But maybe somebody who runs quality control on the joint should check it out. One of us owns a bar just outside Portland, Oregon, and we realize unexpected unfortunate things happen sometimes. And when we ordered the drinks at bar side, the bartender sort of "forgot" to return the five dollars we were owed in return. Had to remind her about that.
