Looks better than it tastes unfortunately.

We ordered from here through Uber Eats. The prices were not bad, especially for the area and the times we're in, so we had decent expectations. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. Everything arrived cold, overcooked, and burnt. On top of that, it was salty but somehow still had no real flavor. I also asked for cheese and it was not added. Portions were smaller than expected for some of the items. We ordered one platter, two breakfast sandwiches, fries, and two drinks. The order included two eggs with home fries, rye toast with butter, bacon, and a sausage patty, plus a bacon egg and cheese on white bread and another on a hard roll. The hot chocolate was literally a cup of hot water with one Swiss Miss packet, which was surprising. My iced coffee came black with no cream included and it tasted burnt. Overall, the meal was not worth what we paid and most of it was honestly inedible. I really wanted to like this place because it has great reviews everywhere, so maybe this was just a really bad day for them. Still, based on this experience, I don't think we'll be ordering from here again.

"So, rock me mama like a wagon wheel Rock me mama any way you feel Hey... mama rock me" (Darius Rucker) Mama sure knows how to rock in the kitchen because her food menu is an embarrassment of riches. Let's take a look at what Mama's kitchen whips up in the morning. How about (are you kidding me?) SIXTEEN different breakfast sandwiches and nine omelets/wraps/platters. Already had breakfast? Fine, let's see what her lunch options look like. How do 65 sandwich/grinder options grab you. They run the gamut from favorites like an Italian combo and Meatball Parmigiana to more exotic types like a Caprese Panini and the Calabria with a chicken cutlet, broccoli rabe, melted Provolone and hot fried peppers and oil. We wanted to pick up something to split for dinner later in the weekend and went with one of our favorites - a Meatball Parmigiana Grinder ($9.95). It was big. It had plenty of sauce and cheese, and most importantly, plenty of big meatball halves. Absolutely no skimping on the meatballs. They were plentiful and tasted great. The Italian bread was top quality as well. Half of that grinder was absolutely enough for a satisfying dinner portion. And considering both of us had dinner for their $9.95 price, the grinder was a sensational value. Thanks, Mama, for an awesome, delicious, and economical dinner for two.

This is a cute place on the corner of Post Rd and Noroton Ave in Darien and seems to draw a lot of local traffic. Inside it is fairly roomy and has a large selection of both cold and hot subs and Sandwiches. I decided to go with the Chicken Cutlet Parm on a Wedge with fries. The prices are extremely decent for the location and the quantity is very generous as well. As for the taste, yes have been craving it since my last visit, so I fully endorse!

I'm a sucker for good Deli's. That's what Carmelas is, friendly people serving tasty sandwiches and well seasoned potato cones.the place looked clean and three workers checked in with me about my order while I was waiting...never had such good service at a Deli.

Delicious Reuben Sandwich and warm, attentive service from behind the counter. Surprisingly reasonable prices in an upscale neighborhood.

Once again I'm hungry on the highway and stop somewhere close by to get breakfast on my way to…read morework. I ended up at this Italian deli in Norwalk. I didn't want breakfast breakfast because the home fries looked off, looks like it's buffet style and not prepared to order. Last time I got a chicken cutlet sandwich in the morning (at a different spot) they gave me left over chicken that must've been days old, so I was scared to try that again so early in the morning, but went for it anyway. I was a bit nervous when the order came out so quick. Luckily it didn't taste old, but I feel like it was prepared the day before and/or placed in the freezer because of the texture of the bread crumbs. It probably could have cooked a bit longer, there were some pink tough areas in the chicken, or maybe that's from it being frozen and defrosted unevenly. I grabbed a beef empanada. I like that it didn't feel greasy. It was loaded generously. I don't like that it tasted so dry though. If the beef was juicy or a little saucy, this would have tasted better. The owner Mario and female working there were so friendly that it hurts me to give them a low rating. I won't stop by here again.

Do not leave without one or several of the ready-made hand pies in the hot box displayed on the counter. Chicken, Ham and Cheese, Beef. Chicken is my favorite. Tender, shredded chicken mildly but flavorly spiced with a special and perfect combination of salt, white pepper I believe, perhaps onion powder, there a bit of red which I recall may be pimento, and my favorite part is the bits of boiled egg. Each bite gives a slight crisp from the pastry wrap and then a moist euphoria of satisfaction that you can eat on the go, or bring to the people you love. My daughter loves the ham and cheese, warm melty and delicious. The beef I do not get often, but you get the idea. I LOVE this place and I see the dedication and love the owner has put in here. I know he will choose to retire one day, and I will always remember this man and his amazing pies.

Quick service | Fresh ingredients | Good value…read more I've wanted to try Jersey Mike's forever. When I was last in the states I had to grab a sub. It looks like any other sub shop however there are rules. So make sure you read the menu. There is a standard way of ordering - as in lingo. I was actually nervous when I was up to order because everyone ahead of me seemed to know exactly what to say? You have to call your order but the # and then say "mikes way" or list off the ingredients you want. Honestly the guy making my sub seemed very unhappy to be there and wasn't very kind. I ordered the half sub and it was more than enough. I wished I could have chosen a different bread because this role seemed just basic. But the fillings made up for it. Fresh cut meats and cheese, thin shredding lettuce and tomato then mayo. It was great in its simplicity. I'd say the price is reasonable for what you get. If you can, definitely give it a try!

After ordering 30 minutes prior they hadn't even started it. I don't know where these manager find these employees, I know inmates with better manners than them. Not only that they hardly filled the sandwich. Dear managers, teach your employees some manners and responsibility. -rude employees -overpriced -scarcely filled sandwiches
