When in CT, you need to hit up all the delis. If you're in Stamford, start here and order the gyro. It's so, so good. The tzatziki is amazing, the meat soft and juicy. They fry the pita bread, too, before adding the veggies et al. It's just delicious! Parking is a pain, but worth it. Looks to also have authentic mexican as well, but we didn't give it a try; however, it was popular with Spanish-speaking patrons ordering while we waited. Traveling through area on our way to Pennsylvania. We try to hit local places not chains right off the highway. This place was small but mighty. The owner/staff were so friendly and welcoming. There were several regulars that came in while we were there. I have the roast beef sandwich which was delicious! Not deli meat but real roast beef. Simple but outstanding. One of the best gyros in the area. I always go for the Pita Pan #1 and love that the meat is so juicy and the fries within the sandwich makes it even better . This is a family run place and the owners are always friendly and up for a chat. I wish it was open for dinner too, I'm told they are trying to work on that. read more

I stopped by earlier today for breakfast and was taken back by the how well prepared my sandwich was, the eggs wasn't cooked to hard,the cheese had a nice cheddar taste and the roll was soft to the touch...... So it was only right I stop by for lunch especially after seeing a picture of the Pita Pan which immediately sent my car into auto pilot and pulled up in front of my new favorite restaurant whenever I'm working in the upper part of the Hope St area. The owner is very friendly and takes his time for a bit of small talk and making sure he hears your order right the first time. The best. Great selection of sandwiches - hot and cold - and they use all Boars Head products. Definitely a neighborhood spot.. This little place is great. Used to go years ago in old location on High Ridge and now back in town and can say best breakfast in Springdale. Gyro on point as well as Chicken Cutlet. Big plus that owners are super friendly and accommodating. Bring my dogs and sit on two small tables next to deli outside. Come in 2-3 times a week for either breakfast or lunch. Wife has omelet and the home fries are extremely flavorful with onions, peppers in them. read more

Yelpers helped steer me in this direction and so glad they did. One of the few delis open on Sunday, which is worth a lot, but their food was excellent. I've only had breakfast here. Very good breakfast sandwiches. Get the supreme ( sausage egg and cheese with homefries on hard roll ) make sure to ask for salt pepper and ketchup. The poppy seed hard rolls are fresh and warm when you get the sandwich. The portions are generous with 2 eggs with the yolk cooked perfect not hard.
