What an amazing place! Small town feel and awesome down home cooking! The biscuits were fresh and baked to perfection, the omelette was loaded and cheesy, the pancakes were fluffy and moist (you don't even need syrup, they are so mildly sweet!) This is a small local diner with friendly, attentive staff and great food with hearty portions. Their breakfast is served all day and their lunch specials are very reasonably priced. A cheeseburger basket with fries and a catfish basket with fries and hush puppies were only $8.99! No wonder the place was packed. Very cute restaurant with amazing food! You seat yourself and sometimes the waitress can take a bit to get to you, but the food is worth the wait, and you can't beat the price! Only knocking off a star because there's only one women's and one men's room, and it makes it difficult when you have kids needing to go and both bathrooms are filled, but this is definitely our favorite breakfast spot we have found so far! We found this place by accident when visiting a jobsite one morning. We have been back almost every weekend! If you're looking for really good simple breakfast, at a good price, excellent service, and that small town feel then this is your new spot. It's not over salted like most places. I had the Bubba Scramble which is double the Mama's scramble featuring 2 open-face biscuits with hashbrowns, ham, gravy, and Cheddar cheese. You cannot see anything else in the pick but the blanket of gravy mounted over and Cheddar. #Delicious and I had a side of Grits and Toast. I almost finished it all as there was only a little of the grits and the toast left. My brother had the deep-fried pork chops bone-in with a light crispy batter. He said it was crunch and well seasoned like the pork chop and was very tender. Toast and other stuff were on the plate that he barely touched cause there were two really good-sized pork chops. My Mom had a standard omelet with cheese and hashbrowns which filled her up and was really good. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the value as the price is completely worth what is served. I find these small places in small towns and I find myself liking them in the extreme. This place is a bit off the interstate but definitely worth the visit. The service is superb. We love Mama Carols, the wait staff are hardworking,busy, but friendly group of people. I have found a new favorite, I loved having their stew on cold days, but with the broth instead of a thickened gravy it felt more like soup, still so good. Ok, I found this place by accident and man I'm happy I did. The great server said people come from all around for the chicken fried steak, so I tried it. The chicken fried steak was really good. And big (I even got the small version). The gravy was average to a bit above but the roll and the chicken fried steak were wonderful. It came out very quick and was piping hot and fresh. This was great! Me and my family went up here after a 2-hour drive to see the christmas lights. My brother and dad got Burgers, my mom got loaded baked potato, and i got blueberry pancakes. They had amazingly nice service, it took only a few minutes to get everything, it was quiet so we wete able go eat in peace, and my whole family enjoyed it. Worth the 2-hour drive. It did not taste like real breakfast sausage. I've never ordered this before, so I don't know if this is a new meat or not. But the sausage was in literal cubes. Definitely didn't look like "real meat", heavily processed. Almost reminded me of cubed meat I give my dog in their dog food. I had to scrape the sausage off bc I couldn't stop thinking about it, and the one cube I tried was super bland. I know it wasn't dog food, obviously. But actual ground breakfast sausage or torn up sausage patties would have been better than whatever I was given. :( I'd order it again, without their cubed sausage. Maybe get a side of actual sausage patties or bacon instead. Other than one issue, service was good, price was reasonable, and food came out fast, so I gave it 3 stars. read more

We constantly search for new breakfast places to add to our Sunday morning routine. We happened upon Mama Carols whole searching Yelp. It's located in a strip mall in Moore. Upon entering we noticed it was very clean. It was Sunday morning so it wasn't super crowded. We were greeted immediately and told to pick where we would like to sit. So the mark of a good breakfast joint is the coffee. So many times I'm so disappointed. I was excited when my cuppa was delivered as I couldn't see through it right away. I added the creamer and an ice cube as it was HOT, and let me say I was pleasantly surprised! The wait staff was super friendly and seemed to know lots of customers by name which, to me, is a great sign. I ordered the scrambled with bacon instead of sausage. It was a lot and was very tasty. My partner ordered the French toast with sausage and it was super tasty too! We will definitely be back! read more

The home fries were even worse. No onion, no seasoning, no flavor. Just chunks of warm potato. Unfortunately our waitress got the order wrong on two counts. She offered rye bread. Yes, please.
