The food was really good and the staff were really attentive to our needs, we came with a group of 10 people from Oklahoma City for the Christmas lights and even though we had to wait awhile for a table because of the size of our group we still had a good time. Oh my gosh this food was AMAZING! It was a very busy Sunday afternoon when we ate and we had to set at the counter which turned out to be the best spot in the house to see all the dishes coming out of the kitchen. Not a single plate looked anything less than delicious. Even with it being so busy it didn't take long at all to get our meals. The portions were giant and the prices were extremely reasonable. I love this place. It's the perfect small town diner. We visited here every Thanksgiving and always had at least one breakfast here. For a busy place, I was surprised how quickly my food came out. My drink never ran dry and my server was always accessible. The food was good, but fell short of my expectations. Given previous reviews and word from the locals, I expected the food to be excellent. While above average, it wasn't through the roof. But it was cheap and fast. Wow horrible service, we've been going there for awhile and always had great service and great food and recently they hired a new waitress and we for some reason get her section every time. This time she was rude to my wife while ordering and we had finally had enough. We left and told her it was because she was rude to which she said we where rude every time we went in there., no she's always rude and short with us so we never leave her a tip. That waitress needs to learn some customer service skills. All my wife was trying to do is make sure the waitress heard that my wife said "no gravy" and the reason we wanted to make sure is because my wife tells them and for some reason they always put gravy on her food, but we don't like to make waves so we usually just make due without saying anything. read more

This was the first time coming. I was down in this area for a race so we stopped by. This place was really packed when we got there but luckily we were able to find some place to sit. The waitress got our drinks ordered in quickly and then our food. I ordered the mama scrambler, which was a biscuit topped with hash brown, gravy, cheese, sausage and I think something else but can't remember. I have never had something like this but it was so good, and just the right portion for me. I wasn't stuffed but wasn't starving, it was just perfect. The food didn't take too long and we were all able to eat pretty quickly. I will say the waitress forgot my water but oh well. She refilled my coffee several times and it was great. We decided to try this place out based on their awesome yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did! The parking lot was packed so we figured it had to be good!! They have open seating which is no big deal (except when a table opened up and someone walked right in and sat down ) only took a few minutes for a table to open up! A greeting from our server would of been nice, instead of just standing there waiting for our drink order, I'm assuming... our food came out pretty quick considering the place was packed! And if in a town with any real competition, or plenty of other choices, it can be the kiss of death! Like three pieces of bacon, one near perfect, one raw, one black. What kind of lazy ass cook does this and sends it on out to customer's tables? Last time we went there my g'f meal was all messed up from what she ordered. She mentioned politely this was not what she ordered and the messed up bacon. So the waitress goes and gets the cook and is standing not far away pointing at us at our table, that we were the ones who complained! Seriously?! Talk about totally unprofessional nonsense to do. This Mom and Pop Place has a cozy atmosphere with friendly folks. The service was very prompt and people were friendly. The food came out Hot in good size portions and very reasonable. Been to Mama Carol's about four times and today was the day I'll never come back. They got new staff. I ordered the chicken wings (30) it said it was for $21. Well they didn't update the menu's so they no long have it and tried to charge me $34 for them. I asked can you give it to me for the price on the menu? They just told me they have to sell them to me for the (8) till it adds up to the (30). After ordering I a greed to the price. But later they come back to say they will give me the $21 price. When the order came they got the order wrong, not what I order. I asked nicely to correct it, they did. I got my pancakes, I had to wait 20 Minutes to get the suryrp for the pancakes. Now the pancakes are cold. I asked them to warm them again. Which the staff remade them. As I go up to pay which I never get a Receipt. I never got to see the bill. A man comes up and tells me this is a family restaurant. That I don't have a right to talk to his girls like this. doesn't tell me what was said to make him say this to me. Tells me I can no longer come to Mama Carol's. Follows me to my car Screaming, cursing and yelling. Telling me this is private property. I have three small kids. On a side note the food is still amazing. Just don't complain when they mess up, they will run you out. read more

Went there for breakfast on the 4th of July. Place was fairly busy. The food was average. Nothing to write home about. Service was good but not very friendly. The big complaint I have is the kitchen ventilation system is poor and there is a cloud that hangs in the restaurant. Combine that with the overpowering smell from the disinfectant they use to wipe down the tables and it doesn't make for a very pleasant dining experience. Go to Mama's!!! Excellent food! Excellent service! Reasonable prices - especially for the plentiful portions! When we arrived for lunch on a Saturday, it appeared there were no tables available. But a nice young couple said we could sit with them, so we did! It had a great family atmosphere without being too noisy. The servers were friendly, attentive, and on the ball! The food was absolutely delicious! I had a grilled chicken wrap (best I've ever had), and perfectly seasoned waffle fries that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Fantastic! The other meals ordered in my party were a breakfast burrito (nice sized and delicious) with pancake (the size of a dinner plate), and a burger with fries, also delicious. We eat at mama carol 's at least once per week but sometimes 2-3! Even if the parking lot looks crowded, STOP anyway ! They will find a place to serve you in a timely manner! We love to eat there after church on Sundays. Their pancakes are as large as a serving plate !!! Yummy!!! I've been eating at Momma Carols for years. In the past the food has always been great. However over the last year or two it has just gone down. I just left from eating there. I chose the catfish daily special. The best thing about the meal was the pinto beans. The catfish was not good. I've noticed some changes in the place and the food. While the atmosphere is clean and comfortable in the dining room, the restroom was disgusting. My waitress was friendly and good but the cashier was a total a@@ hole. Idk what her problem was but wow, not a way to be in the customer service industry. I even said, Hi how are you doing today?" To which she just shrugged her shoulders and glared. I don't care what has happened to you today, if you are at work, you separate your private and professional life. Back to the food, i'm just so disappointed with my catfish. I would rather eat the catfish at Chicken Express just down the road. Now they have good catfish and I'll just continue to get it from there from now on. My daughter did not finish her hamburger and I was not finishing my catfish so I thought I would finish off her hamburger. After one bite I know why she didn't finish it. The ground beef tasted like the cheapest meet you can get at Walmart on the day they have marked it down because it is about to expire. After 10 years of eating at this place I think I'm done. Homey. Friendly, and one of our favorites. The cooking isn't fancy but it it is very tasty. We love going for breakfast, even when it is supper time. And I personally love trying their specials. It is almost all comfort food. The meatloaf is great and so are the pancakes. This is one of those local favorites, not one of those slick franchises. The staff there is always friendly.
