This review is only for breakfast time. It was ok... would I go here again? Probably not. This place is in the Findlay Market and the parking to get in there can be pretty tricky. Especially when the stupid (my opinion) street rail is getting installed. It takes a while for the eggs to be cooked which I have nothing against that. I even was able to get another protein on it I chose steak (c'mon steak and eggs) which looked pretty dry and the steak seem to be blah like stir fry skirt steak which I am not fond of. The burrito itself was blah. Sorry to say and wanted to like it but I wouldn't come here again to get another burrito. Mind you I have had really good burritos in San Diego and a bit spoiled when it comes to that so my review might be harsh but it is how I feel. read more

I got the nachos for $5.50 and they were amazing! I'm a big Pico lover and theirs was great; everything was fresh and crisp. I really liked the chips themselves; they were big, hearty, and crunchy. The white cheese sauce was great. You have your choice of beef, chicken, and something else (pork, maybe?)... I got the chicken. Yum! I can't wait to go back again! read more

Still my favorite place at Findlay. Friendly service and the portions are large for a fair price. Spicy pico has good flavor with a little bit of kick. I wish they had corn tortillas instead of flour but maybe that will be an option soon. read more

Just thinking about some crisp tortilla chips drenched in white queso sauce, chicken and corn or tomato salsa (or both) gets my mouth watering. Within Findlay market you'll find a bunch of little food stands using the freshest ingredients. This place isn't like Reading Terminal in Philly, but it'll do for the city of Cincinnati! My friend and I were hungry so we looked around, shopped around and finally ate around! They had some "famous" salsa and being in the mood for mex food kinda helped. Steak tacos were awesome. I felt that my pico and salsa were perfect. The steak was juicy and flavorful. Perhaps if I lived closer, I might make this place my regular! This place was ok; we got tacos on a recent Findlay Market trip. I got a chicken taco and a fish taco. The food was very fresh and obviously homemade. I preferred the fish taco with the slaw; however, this was a daily special so I'm not sure if they always have it. Overall, I thought it was a little overpriced and the food, while decent, wasn't extremely memorable. I'd maybe eat here again if I was hungry for tacos at Findlay. read more

So the burritos and tacos are okay . . . everything tastes really fresh and somehow not quite as artery clogging as Chipotle, however, if you're looking for something AMAZING for lunch, you have to get the nachos. Warm melted white cheddar goodness with warm crisp chips and then your choice of toppings - this can't be beat. The staff was even kind enough to carefully drizzle the queso to make sure it got in between all the chips. The shredded chicken and fresh tomato salsa helped everything come together. Definitely try it next time you're at Findlay. I'm pretty sure this will be my new go to lunch. Sooo good. read more

All I can say is WOW! This place has a good thing going. My daughter, nephew and I went to this place after scouting around Findley Market for a quick bite. They got the chicken nachos and I got the chicken burrito. Their nachos were huge and they enjoyed them. My burrito had a lot of options and tasted great. I've tasted burritos before, but these had a wonderful, complex flavor. The nachos also had this wonderful flavor. If you like hispanic food and don't like "processed taste", give this place a try. read more

Meh. I guess I'm just not a fan of this place. I don't particularly like their shredded cheese and everything I've tried has just been unimpressive. The chips are just boring round tortilla chips that I can buy at any store, and the meats are okay, but nothing spectacular. The veggies are fresh and the salsas are good, but I've just never been satisfied after eating there because some flavor always felt lacking. read more

Walking around Findly Market this morning, we were hoping to find a good breakfast spot and voile', we happened upon Mama Lo Hizo! I read the menu board and saw a Breakfast Bowl. I was intrigued. Tell me more, like what is in this bowl. Fresh scrambled eggs are the first layer topped with any/all of the following...meat(ground beef, steak or chicken), pico de gallo, from mild to spicy, corn salsa, beans, and cheese. I went vegetarian with mild pico, corn salsa and beans. So plentiful that after devouring approximately half, I was full and had to stop. The flavors were delicious, a small hint of heat took the complex flavors to the next level, so good! read more

Amazing fish taco made with a great piece of fish hand pulled apart at time of order, topped as you like, I had some of thr onion and lime the fish were baked in, cabbage and their zesty sour cream (cilantro and lime, etc). Very friendly staff, many other wonderful looking options. Got some lime, coconut almond cookies to go. read more

Delicious food, made to order. Ask for something special and they will do everything they can to accomodate (I wanted an egg rather than meat on my bowl today - they went back and cooked one...). The ingredients are all fresh and tasty. The sauces are excellent - & when they say a sauce is hot, it REALLY is. Perfect! Great price, and nice, nice people. One of my favorite places at Findlay. So I will start off by saying I am very picky with my Mexican food having grown up in a border town and having grown up with my mom's amazing cooking. I saw this place top a list of best tacos in Cincinnati so I had to give it a try. Unfortunately, I will never eat there again. although the service was friendly, the area that contained the condiments looked very messy, which should have been my first sign to not eat there. I decided to order the fish taco and the steak taco. The fish taco was okay but there was just something about it that turned me off a bit.... I can't quite put my finger on it. I finished my messy fish taco and moved onto the steak. I took one bite and threw it away. The steak was cold! Not even lukewarm and it tasted terrible. I was expecting it to taste like carne asada but it was flavorless and the tortillas tasted like they were bought at Kroger. I feel bad writing this review but I was so disappointed that the only Mexican joint at Findley did not do a good job representing us. Maybe it was just an off day but that's all it takes for someone to never be a customer again. I will continue on my mission to find the best tacos in Cincinnati but so far La Mexicana in Newport continues to be #1 read more

The best nachos period. The queso melts In your mouth with any meat and gets a cooling float with the pico de gallo. You truly can't go wrong with your order. The tacos are good and the salsas are tasty and they have the best Mexican drinks to tag along with your meal. But if you really want flavor you have to order the queso. read more

The food was great but the service was terrible. The lady at the counter was reluctant and rude while taking my order, she was sluggish and slow, and just took her dandy time while preparing my burrito. She had a lot of attitude and was rude to me and my friends. It was my first time eating there but she had very little patience with any of us. While she was finishing up my order she decided that a little telephone call would be nice. This was astonishingly rude and I don't plan on returning to this restaurant. read more

What the heck? Did I order the wrong thing and go at the wrong time? I decided to try Mama Lo Hizo while at Findlay Market this past weekend because I saw a few people enjoying it in the Biergarten. I ordered a steak bowl and a chicken bowl. The steak bowl was prepared first and ended up sitting by the cash register for 10 minutes while I (and about 4 others) waited for the chicken to be prepared. As a result, our food was cold, and I have to say that the meal was not memorable from a flavor standpoint either. Chicken had no seasoning whatsoever and the salsas didn't help much. Cornbread that we ordered on the side was dry and flavorless. I rarely write reviews less than 3 stars, and I do have to say that I am baffled by my experience since the overwhelming majority of current reviews are positive. Maybe I will go back and try the tacos, but IMHO there are much better places to grab food while at Findlay Market. read more
