I usually am in there on Tuesday evening Taco Tuesday thru are the best Tacos around! Not always there but am there when n town. The service there is exceptional friendly people. When we entered, it was apparent that this was one of those small town Cafes where the locals congregate. There were Farmers, Law enforcement and Travelers from the surrounding hotels. The restaurant is not well identified but people apparently know its there. The restaurant is larger inside than it appears on the outside. Upon entering, there is a large bar on the left. The place was clean and our waitress was welcoming. The only thing that I didn't particularly care for was the Bassy music coming from the bar. I thought it was a little loud and disruptive in the restaurant. Otherwise, not a bad place. When I'm in town, I love the local Mexican food and most of these local cafes serve Mexican fare. So that's it then! We were promptly seated, served drinks and chips. I must say that I loved the green Chile salsa. Yum. For my main course, I ordered the Mexican plate. Yes, that's the one! It had a Taco, Enchiladas and a Chile Relleno. Every bite of it was delicious! There was nothing left but a Chile Relleno stub! Though this was my first visit to Mamacita's, I would not hesitate to eat here again. Good meal, thanks! read more

Stopped in last night while passing through Texas. And we we're Truly Impressed. I had the Fajitas Burrito and it was Amazing filled with lots of meat, peppers, onions . Cheryl had 2 taco's and thought they also were delicious. The service from Señorita Maria was Great. And to top it all off the place is listed as a 1$ sign. Yes it was inexpensive AND DELICIOUS so it can be done. Oh yes and Maria played My National Famous Pick your Tip from 6 choices and hit for a 100% Tip. A game I always ask servers if they like to Gamble and Have Fun. Tips range from 10% lowest to 100% Maria was a Big Winner and we could not be happier! read more

Very friendly, prompt service. Passed through here at the right time for Sunday breakfast. Had a delicious plate of chilaquiles with an excellent green sauce and eggs done exactly how I like them. The rest of the menu looked great. Seems to be many locals and a few travelers. Owner/manager makes the rounds to make sure everyone is well fed and happy. Amazing food, the dining area is nice it's a bit cramped when you walk in to try and pick up an order, but overall 10/10.

Definitely agree with the other posters that it's a great place to meet up with friends and just chill. It's sort of your typical bar joint. I haven't been to too many bars in my life though so take that with a grain of salt. The food was OK. Hubs enjoyed his buffalo chicken salad but my fajitas were meh. First time I've ever had fajitas that wasn't on a sizzling plate. Hubs said to suck it up because I shouldn't order fajitas at a bar but dude, it's a Mexican restaurant/bar! read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after a landfill run for some local eats. The place was packed with locals and I-10 travelers. We were happy to see a clean little place that wasn't pretentious. We sat 'anywhere' after the friendly young man behind the bar offered. We quickly received some chips and salsa Verde (delicious!). We had some drinks while we waited for our food and enjoyed the friendly mix of people. The food came with a little delay as they were slammed with a group of riders and had only a few servers covering the bar and the dining room. But worth the wait... tacos made just like my mother's, an old fashioned burger for my daughter with some crispy fries, and a delicious enchilada plate for my son. Recommend you stop here on your way in, out or thru El Paso for a well made and delicious meal and a beer. Enjoy! read more

Super convenient when staying at the hotel next door. A nice spot for pretty much being in the middle of nowhere. The food was good, service was super friendly.
