Green chile con queso chicken enchiladas
    Angelica F.

Yum! The green chile con queso chicken enchiladas were so perfectly cheesy and came with a massive portion. I was surprised by how nice the "wine based" house margarita was. Light and refreshing. Despite us having a little difficulty finding where to park, this little restaurant packs quite the punch and is worth it. We had a lovely waitress, the wait for food wasn't very long. Overall a solid experience, we will definitely be back to try more.

Combo number 1. Taco was soggy a little and it's ground beef. Shoulda asked for shredded beef. My bad. 8/10 overall plate score

Service was a tad bit slow. But I felt comfort knowing the food was going to be, and it was, piping hot and fresh. Cozy dining room with plenty of elbow room. Wait staff was 10/10.

Today - 08.01.24 - what a wonderful way to bring in a new month. I came back here for the second time and had what were possibly the best cheese enchiladas I have ever had. If this was Once Upon A Time in Mexico, Johnny Depp would have strolled back to the kitchen and offed the chef - they were that delicious. The beans and rice - also life-changing. The vibe here - pure El Paso. The service - excellent. 2/2 on providing an excellent meal and a superlative experience overall.

The hosts were very welcoming to us when we walked in. It was a very full house so the food took longer than expected. Unfortunately they don't have a variety amount of margaritas (wish they had more flavors / options). The food took a while to get here. The food was AMAZINGGGGG, as posted in the pictures, the green enchiladas and the carne asada were very delicious. Would come back soon.

Come prepared for a wait, regardless of when you come. Just grab a beer at the bar and wait patiently with everyone else if there's a line. This is a locals' place. Hole in the wall, historic building, friendly family vibe. Very clean. The menu is crazy - soooo hard to decide what to order. We got a bowl of caldillo for a shared appetizer, and brisket machaca, picadillo, a beef burrito special for entrees. Best caldillo ever- full of green chile, tender beef, and comforting potatoes in a rich broth. Definitely try the acclaimed brisket machaca for a cheesy beefy experience. The picadillo was surprising with a scrumptious hard sear on the beef and a relatively dry texture - far different from the overcooked watery ground beef stews most places make. Highly recommended?

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is delicious and filling. Service is always great. Nice atmosphere as well. We went today on Thursday in the late afternoon and much to our surprise, it wasn't crowded like always so now I know the best time to go.

We came here because apparently it is a staple in El Paso. It has been around for ages. They are known for serving big plates of food for those that have been working outside. I am not sure why this place is so highly rated, because the food was not that good. The rice was good and the chips but the flautas were not, they had no flavor at all. The customer service was great though so that's why they get a 3.

Kiki's was recommended to me by a relative and I'm so glad I had a chance to go. A little off the beaten path (a good thing) and far from your chain of Mexican restaurants. I liked the old diner feel it has, from the old pictures in the wall to the football helmets on the counter. The service was spot on. I really like that they bring a small pitcher of whatever you're drinking along with your drink. I was told to get the Machaca (brisket). WOW That is a huge plate of goodness!! Of course chips and homemade salsa is served before, during and all throughout your meal. They claim to have wonderful desserts too! I'm not sure how you could eat them, but maybe you could take one home? When in El Paso, Texas be sure and give Kiki's a try. Go get Full

Green chicken enchiladas with onions are the best. Year after year they stay the same. My place to go to when I get back to El Paso.

Their food taste has gone down. Also, the restaurant can use serious remodeling. The booths are uncomfortable.

Which were good (lacked a little crisp but had good flavor). The green salsa at the table was fantastic, a little slice but a ton of flavor. Everything was fresh, the chips were freshly baked, the rice was not day old rice like at so many places around here it was good and actually had some flavor, the beans were good (the bright orange color of the beans surprised me, turmeric? Regardless they were delicious). Unfortunately the meat had zero spices, not even salt. The only reason not taking off a star is the salsa paired perfectly with the shredded beef tacos and the green chili burger, but a little bit of salt would have elevated the meal for sure. There was no salt on the meat in any of the meals we'd ordered. The coffee was good and strong, the mugs weren't tiny little mugs they actually gave you enough coffee to enjoy and the experience over all was wonderful. My mom spoke Spanish, I border on no sabo, pero intendo and my kids speak no Spanish at all, the menu was all Spanish but the waitress was patient and sweet with every order. Definitely worth the visit.

A splash of Texas and a sprinkle of Mexican bring this BBQ to over the top flavor town. Yup, I said. I envoked the Guy Fiere-ism. The BBQ is only available Fri-Sun, and it's located inside Fanatics on Montwood and Lee Trevino. The bar is a little divey, but it's clean and spacious. The times we've gone it's never super full, and the micheladas are cold. The bloody Mary's are on point if you like some spicy kick. Papamigos has an extra special Sun brunch yumminess as well. Check out their IG for pics. I haven't tried it, but we've tried their whole regular menu and nom nom nom. Here are some of our favs: The brisket is the most tender I've had. They have an AMAZING brisket taco with freshly homemade tortillas topped with an egg. Sigh! Foodiegasm! The pulled pork is tender and flavorful. It's little pork pillows of bursting flavor. The pork ribs are fall of the bone tender. My husband, an avid griller and smoker, took several mins to say something. That silence spoke volumes! The macaroni and coleslaw salads. These are not your traditional sides. They're light and compliment the BBQ perfectly. The coleslaw is a vinger slaw that is flavorful but light and balances the fattiness of the meats perfectly. The macaroni is this awesome combo of macaroni and elote. It's light and citrusy and comes topped with tajin. Just taste it. None of that heavy mayo mess here. (Trigger warning for mayo lovers.) The salsas are all homemade and have flavor but don't overpower all the smokey flavor they put into the meat. Below are pics of what we had today. The sausage bites and a two meat combo. This was more than enough for two people. Extra special: The place is run by brothers. They are orignially from the Valley but moved to EP. One of them always come out to check on you and ask about the flavor. Some might not like the chit-chat, but we do. It's quite clear they care about the food their making, and the food tastes like the love they put into it.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!
