Pearl Divers Oyster Bar - Soft Opening Review 115 Durango St Suite C, El Paso, TX 79901 What a great addition to Downtown El Paso! I stopped by Pearl Divers Oyster Bar after a meeting nearby, and I'm so glad I did. It's tucked next to the Tiki Room (same owners), just a short walk from City Hall and the train station. Totally worth the detour. The vibe is a mix of modern industrial and coastal charm -- think Fisherman's Wharf, but cleaner, cooler, and far more intentional. You can actually see your oysters being shucked right in front of you, which adds to the experience. Here's what I tried: Oysters (Chef's Choice) - Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served with a classic mignonette. Each oyster had its own unique flavor. Clam Chowder - Creamy but not heavy, with bacon, corn, herbs, and perfectly cooked potatoes. No gluey filler here! Pintxos (Gilda) - They offered this complimentary so I could try it, and it was a hit! Anchovies, olives, peppers, and even a sardine version with a little kick. A great nod to the Basque bar culture -- would love to see this catch on in El Paso. Bread - Soft and crusty, great for dipping, though it wasn't listed on the menu and came in at $7. Worth noting for anyone watching their tab. Grapefruit Radler - Refreshing, citrusy, and the perfect drink pairing for seafood. They've been doing a soft opening for a few weeks, but the official grand opening is Thursday at 3 PM. Rumor has it they may add fish & chips soon -- and possibly cioppino this fall (which I'd love!). Final take? Pearl Divers brings big-city seafood charm to El Paso in a way that feels relaxed, intentional, and exciting. It's perfect for people who want great seafood without needing to dress up or drop $100. Just walk in, enjoy, and eat well. I'll definitely be back.

We stopped by before closing so we didn't get to order much! We had the oysters Rockefeller and they were amazing! The Cesar was also delicious-i do wish the dressing was spread out more evenly, with cutting it ourselves it helped me make sure every bite was even! I asked for a gin drink recommendation and they made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Will be back thank you!

So I, of course, feeling the need always to explore new cocktail bars or restaurants in my hometown when visiting home, was pretty excited for the opportunity to check out Hush Hush. As a true millennial Gemini, I celebrate my birthday for the whole month, so I quickly texted my family and friends; this is where I wanted to go. What I love about Hush Hush is how it's encouraging and pushing folks to step out of their comfort zone in their attire and dress more to the vibes of this cocktail house (Think Soho, ABA, Casablanca, and Elephante). You're bound to see more desert tones, muted colors, flowy pants, basically anything resort wear. It's cool to see this cocktail house make you feel like you're not in El Paso. The music is different, more loungey, to where you can hear everyone at your table. Of course, there's still a DJ, but damn, Hush Hush is intentionally geared for those who love to go out but need top-shelf cocktails without the eye rolls or the bartenders staring at us with blank eyes. Hush Hush is a true game changer. The lines might get crazy, but I suggest getting there early so you can snag your photos and a solid table/spot. There are three main bar areas, but my fave was the velvet room. I suggest catching a drink on the second floor if you get there early enough to get an eagle eye's view of the establishment. Attention to detail was on point, and I appreciated the homework and research done before the opening of this spot. It's an elevated experience for the city and one I wish every city in the States had tbh.

On this particular day we visited when the kitchen was closed so we had to focus on a liquid appetizer to say. This establishment has you feeling like you've been transported to another city and it really feels like a mini vacation spot. The drink menu is something to admire as they were really thought out and well curated. It was in all the details from presentation to garnishes. My partner had a frozen beverage that was a personal fave of his and really enjoyed the fresh ingredients he could taste. I can't wait to come back and explore the menu.

I ordered "La Sirena" and it came in the cutest mug w a mermaid tail. Then a margarita martini (SOO good). I started with the Tiradito and Aguachile appetizers. Both FRESH and very flavorful. I enjoyed the spice my one the most. From there moved on to the fish tacos and the potatoe fingerlings side. Can I just say WOW ! The fish was fresh and not frozen. I was actually impressed with the quality . Only two come per order but pretty filling. I don't even like potatoes or fries but however the chef seasoned them and prepared the green sauce on the bottom was perfection! The service was amazing especially from Eddie the bar manager - he was engaging and knowledgeable of mixology. Truly put love into all of our drinks. Highly recommend. It's an upscale spot that's a must try!!
