It's a huge restaurant and you can tell it's family-owned and run. There were family and kids in the corner doing homework on their computers, which I thought was so sweet. Before we even ordered, they brought us complimentary ceviche with chips AND soup. Both were delicious and tasted incredibly fresh. I ordered the Baja fish tacos and my daughter got the carne asada tacos. The portions were VERY generous, especially for the prices. The fish tacos were fresh, crispy and loaded, but the carne asada really surprised me. It was tender, flavorful and honestly some of the best carne asada I've had. The service was also wonderful. I was already pretty full, so they happily boxed everything up for us to take home. I was genuinely surprised to see the restaurant so quiet on a Sunday because the food, portions, prices and service were all excellent. So beware!! However, the staff asked what level of spice I wanted from 1 to 10 and even though I said a 5, it was still spicy. . After picking the meats, I was then able to pick as many veggies as I wanted so of course I splurged lol. I got corn, carrots, red cabbage, cilantro, bell peppers, onions etc. I also added some avocado, which was an extra $2, but I can't have ceviche without avocado. My dish was very delicious!! All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

The dates and chorizo are too big and likely would taste better if the were bite size... a lot of flavors going on as well. I love a good Caesar and was hopeful for the salad but again nothing special. The lobster pasta was very rich, could only have a few bites.
