My birth experience was extremely positive, full of love and support, smooth and without any regrets or feelings of inadequacy. I know I couldn't have done it without their preparation and commitment. Gosh, the number of times I pinged them in the middle of the night, even well before my delivery... I was always so apologetic about that, but they assured me it was no big deal and that they were there for me any time I needed them. Please, hire them. You won't regret it, I promise!

In addition to Doula services, we decided to take the Evidence Based Birthing 6 week course taught by Stevie, the CPR class and the breastfeeding class taught by Jamie. The EBB course was extremely informative and helped us prepare for the type of delivery we wanted. I felt confident in my decisions around the type of birth I wanted but also prepared for any unplanned changes that may occur. The CPR class was something my husband and I planned to take through the hospital but enjoyed having Stevie come over to our house and receive 1:1 instruction. The breastfeeding class was extremely informative and useful for not only myself but my husband as well. Due to covid restrictions only one doula was allowed in our hospital room so Stevie joined us since Jamie had just given birth to her 4th baby a week prior. Stevie knew our nurses, anesthesiologist, and OB which was comforting. My birth plan changed from what I originally intended and Stevie made sure I was comfortable with the change and helped me feel confident with my decision. My baby's heart rate dropped extremely low a couple times during labor and she helped us stay strong and reassure us that we were in good hands. I couldn't have asked for a better team for our delivery and I think that Stevie is largely to thank for that. 3 days after my baby was born, I became concerned because he hadn't had a wet or poopy diaper in 2 days. I got an appointment with our pediatrician a day earlier than originally scheduled but still had a day to care for my child. I reached out to Jamie and Stevie for advice and Jamie got me connected to a Lactation Consultant and helped me make the decision on a feeding plan until our appointments. She even brought over a bag of breastmilk since my milk hadn't come in yet . I found out that my baby wasn't able to get enough milk from my breast due to some latching issues and worked with the lactation consultant Jamie recommended for the first 2 months of his life. I am now almost 6 months postpartum and now have a great breastfeeding relationship with my child - something I again largely attribute to Jamie. As first time parents, getting a doula was the best decision we made and we couldn't be happier with the services provided by Jamie and Stevie!

When we hired Ashley, I was open to either unmedicated birth or an epidural- I had no preference and she was totally game for either. After I had been in labor for quite some time, I decided to proceed with the epidural; a decision Ashley knew was completely supportive of and helped me through. In that moment, I was slightly worried we had invested in a doula who would now be of less service to us, since I would be having a medicated birth... I could not have been more wrong! I am 100% certain I would have ended up having an emergency c-section if she hadn't been present to advocate for us. She noticed things our nurses didn't catch (who knew you could have a bad bag of Pitocin??), she kept me comfortable through lots of back labor, and she acted as a confident guide through a long labor. She was the calm in the storm for both me and my husband, and we are so thankful we had her with us when our daughter surprised us with a sunny-side up arrival. In addition to her invaluable labor services, she noticed an impending medical issue during her postpartum visit we had overlooked. She helped us be more prepared for what was to come, which allowed us to seek the appropriate medical care in a timely manner. We will forever be thankful for Ashley's presence in our lives, and we can't wait to utilize her services again in the future when we try for baby #2!

I fell into depression, and despair. I felt stuck. I began to experiencing unprecedented knee pain (first the right knee, and soon after, my left knee) I had heard good things about Brenda and Congo-Movement. Really good things. I booked an appointment. Within one (2) two hour session...I experienced tremendous physical, and mental relief. Like, night and day. My knee pain dissipated. My depression lifted, and my feelings of despair lessened and lessened. Brenda and I worked together a few more times. My life, in a very short period of time, is back on track. Future dads and non-birthing partners - at first I thought the doula was more to support the woman giving birth... which for pregnancy and birth prep is true, but also, depending on circumstances (with baby mama will be in birthing-la-la-land) you'll end up working pretty closely with the doula making sure the birth goes according to plan. Do yourself a favor and hire Danielle. Its worth way more that the monetary cost. Doctors are there to crank out as many births as possible, not to follow the plan you and your partner have laid out. Today though... was the day! Our kiddo absolutely loved the play area, he didn't stop once for the 45 minutes he got to play. We scheduled an open gym play time and our son got to mingle with some other little, as well as got to get his energy out. What I loved was the owner/staff at the front. Can I say absolutely respectful, welcoming, and just prioritizing the kids safety and well-being. While we were all getting ready to join in, we got to introduce the parents. And the kids got ready to go in. Meanwhile she was busy at work cleaning the areas to make sure that the kiddies were in a clean play room. Plus once a month they rearrange the area to incorporate more styles of play. They have different memberships online and you can text for availability, which is how we were able to confirm availability for the day! For parents with kids in early intervention programs, this is a great place to bring your kids for therapy. For other kids without a therapy need, this allows them to teach and influence other kiddos who need that influence. Definitely will be returning in the future for more fun!
