Joanne was patient and non-judgmental about my goals and needs. She was so very knowledgeable. After a few sessions together I had learned so much about how to take care of my late-preterm baby and she supported me as I tried to breastfeed. I don't know what I would have done without her. I would recommend Nurture Columbus and Joanne in particular without reservation.

The first thing you notice when you walk in is the vibe--it's just pleasant. The employees here are genuinely friendly; whether it's the greeter at the door or the cashier chatting while scanning my items, everyone seems helpful and nice. It makes the weekly grocery run feel less like a chore. What really keeps me coming back, though, is their store brand selection. If you are sleeping on the "Meijer" or "Frederick's by Meijer" brands, you are missing out! I've swapped out so many big-name products for their versions, and I honestly can't taste the difference. Chips and snacks: Just as crunchy and flavorful as the national brands. Dairy: Their cheese and yogurt selection is massive and way cheaper. Pantry staples: Canned goods, pasta, and baking supplies are a fraction of the cost. My grocery bill has gone down significantly since I made the switch, and the quality is spot on. The one downside: I have to be real about the produce section, specifically the fruit. It's usually pretty hit-or-miss (mostly miss). The berries tend to go bad quickly, and I've had bad luck with apples being mealy. I usually grab my fruit elsewhere. The Verdict: If you just avoid the fruit section, this is easily a 5-star store. Great people, unbeatable prices on their own brands, and a solid shopping experience every time. Highly recommend!

First off, the vibe here is very old-school early-1970s local neighborhood store. Its stock is...well...jumbled. It's got lawn items & clothing & dishware & ...automotive??...& whatnot on one side, food on the other, and not very clear sections. I mean, the sections are *marked*, but after finding certain specific items in at least five different & separate sections -- they need some serious organizational help. I normally don't mind scavenger hunts, but not in a store where I'm trying to get what I need and go home. Selection is basic (someone in another review compared it to Aldi's, but it's not as organized as Aldi's), though with a lot of name brands. Everything is pre-packaged; no bulk items (save candy) and limited selection of those. However, to the good, there were surprises: they've got a decent amount of sugar-free, organic, & international items (chorizo!), the produce section was well-stocked & fresh, and they had a lot of local/ohio-made items. The biggest "to the good" was the pricing: it was easily MUCH cheaper than Kroger's. So if you don't mind a bit of disorganization, definitely give this place a try!

I frequent the East Main and Parsons location, out of those two - this is the best. That doesn't mean it's an award winner. I like the pharmacy and the inside is relatively clean and in order. Service is SLOW and self check out is a joke. Deli is slow but I like the deli food options better at this location. Don't be in a rush when stopping in. People watching is always interesting here.
