Sorry to say that despite all the 4 -5 star reviews my 2 experiences here have been quite disappointing. Chicken overcooked and dry, greek ribs again overcooked and dry with very mild seasoning, the moussaka tastes like it is frozen and warmed in micro wave, vegetables were like a Chinese stir fry. The calamari was very good. As were the olives and feta. When compared to " authentic " greek food like you get at the Calgary Farmers market on Blackfoot trail SE ( Two Greek Gals) or Broken Plate and Santorini in Calgary this place falls short. I have lived in Greece and have visited as well on vacation, both mainland and various islands so I'm aware of how the food should be. I was looking forward to this one but won't be going back. I'm sure some dishes are good but I can only review my own 2 different experiences at lunch and dinner. For the prices I won't take the chance again. Saffron Bistro Indian and Original Joe's as well as Origin brewery offer better quality and pricing in Strathmore. read more

If you haven't visited Mama's Greek Kouzina, you are missing out. I have tried a few of their dishes so far and can say I have not been disappointed! The portions are generous , made with fresh ingredients. A lot of love goes into each and every dish, you can taste it. Dining room is very nicely decorated, lots of nice Greek antiques and wall decor which adds a nice ambiance. Ria and Eleni always give us the absolute best service and give great suggestions which helps us try new things! They have a guest only bathroom which is also decorated nicely and very clean with a a baby changing station inside.They are very kid friendly, I bring my son for almost every visit and they are so great with him and there are great options for the little ones. All the dishes I have tried so far have been 10/10 and I can't wait to try more! read more

Tried this place for the first time on Friday Aug 9th. If you are looking for authentic Greek food this is the place. Definitely be back, a bit pricy but worth it. Thankyou for bringing something unique to Strathmore. We need to support more local restaurants. read more
