Went to Blue Mountain Resort for the day and ended with pizza at Mama's Italian Grill which was only around 10 minutes away. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza for less than $20 dollars and it was delicious. It was delivered to the table hot and fresh. Additionally all the staff were extremely attentive and nice. You could tell they want their customers to have a great experience at their restaurant and we did. It's a small place but I would definitely recommend. read more

Get the Large #7 MAMA'S SPECIAL , Italian Hoagie. One of the best in the entire Leigh Valley and its easily over the 14" they say it is. Friendly staff, and orders are ready for pick up in about 15 minutes, every time I call. Limited parking behind the restaurant, makes it more of a take out and go place imho. read more

Fantastic pizza and cheese steaks. Pizza crust is perfect, crisp on the bottom and thin but not a dry cracker. The cheese and sauce are New York top quality. They have a brick oven. Pizza eating pros can appreciate the difference the right oven makes. The cheese steaks are fantastic. The roll is perfect the steak is thin yet still moist. If I lived near this place I would weigh 300 pounds...the food was that good. Finally I'd add the staff is incredible. They were super friendly and took great care of us. read more

The place is cozy and nice, perfect after a day on the slopes. The food came very fast. Crispy Chicken Sandwich was my favorite! The bun was best bread ever, made in house. Very nice family works runs the joint and it shows in their food, not your usual pizza joint but much more. Sometimes it's hard to find a seat because of the size of the building but worth the wait. Give them a try next time you are in the neighborhood. read more

Last night we got the special. Large pie, two hoagies, and large ff for $23. Also got the chicken Ceasar pie for the adults. Start off with Italian hoagie and it is fresh. Bread was amazing plus fresh lettuce and red onions. It definitely wasn't generic, it tasted like a New York deli sub. Next was a cheesesteak which was just as good as the Italian hoagie. A lot of fresh meat on an awesome hoagie bun. Lastly, was the chicken Caesar pie! Loaded with chicken that was grilled perfect. The dough had that perfect crunch. My wife said it was one of her top ten pizzas of all time. I can't believe how good this place was in Walnutport. Keep it up guys, my family will be back. read more

I've ordered out twice here and really enjoyed the cheesesteak and fries and pizza. The people here are super-duper friendly! The sandwiches are hearty and filling and definitely worth the price. Some minor greivances: in my opinion the meatball sandwich was kinda gross. The loaded fries are piled with whole bacon strips which looked pretty but made it really difficult to eat since they weren't cut up.. I will definitely eat here often when I don't feel like cooking =] read more

She knows most of her guests and really adds to the family feel of Mama's. The owners are present in the kitchen but also come out and greet guests to ensure a great experience. Stopped by here for dinner after snowboarding at blue mountain. Wow! Was I pleasantly surprised! I ordered a chicken Parmesan hero, linguine with white clam sauce and a plain slice. Being from New York I can say the food tastes authentic. Everything was great, the linguine could of been a tad bit less salty but that's being picky. The portions are generous and the price is right. The staff and service is friendly and good. I highly recommend this spot! read more

Very nice place. The food was excellent. I got the rice balls with ground beef inside. I also got the seafood pasta. It was a huge portion and you could split it with another person. We talked to the server and his parents who run the place. They are a very nice family owned business. As I was walking outside some guy told me they have one and a half foot subs. Mama's makes a good pie, plenty of cheese, slightly sweet sauce and thin crust. It's a shade less cooked than golden brown, but definitely much better than a chain pizza restaurant. I've also had the cheesesteaks. They come on a fresh roll with lean meat and fresh mozzarella cheese. I always order mine Philly style, cheese and onion, no sauce. The restaurant is clean, the seating area, although small, is buffered form the cold or heat form frequent take-out traffic and is BYOB. Coke products are featured on the fountain. 2 Liters are to go only. I'm not a big soda drinker and almost always get an unsweetened iced tea. Mama's does not offer unsweetened tea, It's Nestea from the fountain. Serivce is friendly, and food arrives quickly and to order. They have a semi-open kitchen and you can watch if you're inclined. There are 7 other pizza joints in a 3 mile radius, and probably more than 10 in a 5 mile radius. Is Mama's worth the trip? The short answer is yes. The long answer is if you're in town for Blue Mountain Ski Area, there's not a lot nearby, and Mama's is a good choice for value and good food. If you're a local, it's a good place to try if you want something outside of your usual pie. Parking is a bit rough. Overall, it's a good place with value for your meal. read more

After coming home from vacation to Great Wolf Lodge (see my review) we walked into our house to a broken freezer and dead fridge. Fast forward 2 hours, the mess cleaned up. The family decided to order pizza. I have had slices from Mama's twice now. Each time they were great. This time we ordered a pie. I decided to write a review. The BBQ Chicken Pizza is amazing. The presentation of it, the sweet dough, how its not over cooked or overloaded with cheese. Was delicious. You could see where they sliced the pizza, so it was easy to pull apart. We also ordered chicken fingers (no fries), and those were good as well. I would order from Mama's in a heartbeat, no more Mama's of Slatington for me. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a kid menu :) read more

Was worried that the pizza in rural PA would be subpar (native from NY area). The pizza turned out to be relatively good. Service was relaxed and helpful. The only gripes I had with Mamas Italian Grill was that the pizza was a tad too greasy for my taste and that the parking lot was very small. read more

This is my favorite place, ever. We order take out from here at least once a month since they are reasonably priced. The service is awesome, friendly staff, great food! We haven't gotten anything that we didn't like. #7 Mama's Special are the best Italian hoagies in the area, IMO. Buffalo chicken pizza is a must! If you plan to dine in, they do have around 8-10 tables and its typically uncrowded outside of ski season. read more

We went to Mamas based on great reviews. We were not disappointed! It's a small place, and we were the only ones in the restaurant until the end of our meal. I got the Chicken Parm, and it ended up being my lunch and dinner. The portions are incredibly generous! My fiancé got a personal sized calzone, which easily could have fed two people. Mama's is the place to go if you have dietary restrictions. These days it's hard to get a big group of friends together where one person isn't some combination of Vegan/Vegitarian/Gluten-Free...and Mama's has a dedicate menu for all of them. Also important to note these are not just the regular items without meat, but very unqiue and different menu's. As a new Vegan was delighted to find Vegan cheese pizza way out in the boonies where we leave. There is one gentleman in particular that seems to run the place that makes sure to personally make sure your restrictions are being addressed without judgement and makes sure to follow up throughout the meal.
