Great pizza as always great crust we are new to the area and Sals has become our favorite Pizza restaurant

We got into town hungry so we searched Yelp for a restaurant that delivers. Yelp showed us Sals so we decided to try it. I got the spaghetti w\meat sauce and my friend got a cheesesteak. This place has changed. The pizza is great but the food is just ok. The veal parm. sandwich was tough as leather. The individual slices are very stingy and overpriced. Service is adequate but I wouldn't eat there. Don't know what's going on but we will probably not be going back. read more

The service was excellent- very nice and efficient server. We ordered a well done crisp pizza. It was so soft and that the middle section that I had to be eaten with a knife and fork. I realize I should've said something. The flavor was OK. read more

We really enjoy this pizzeria, they make everything with love. My husband and I like to buy the small Sicilian with meatballs on top , it's a perfect size for two people with leftovers. Flavors are delicious and the crunch of the crust is amazing. read more

IDK what's happened at Sals. Been there many times but of late the quality just isn't the same. Someone said the owner retired, don't know if it is same owners or not. But, the place is dark, shoddy and filthy, needs a good cleaning. The pizza, I think the best in the area now is MEH at best. Can't get it the way you ask either. Service left a lot to be desired as inattentive. Sad to see as it was our go to place for Italian food in the area as nothing else in the area was worth the time money or calories. read more

Don't order a gyro Fing terrible. Was lookin to get a sandwich not a god damn salad on top of a piece of pita bread. Best thing on there menu is The coke sold in a bottle. Had the chance to grab a cheesesteak here before bowling at Blue Valley one night and made a TikTok video for it. I'd really like to get back sometime and film something on the pizza and some of the other dishes people have raved to me about from here. Grabbed the "Luci's Cheesesteak" as it seemed to be the specialty sandwich on the menu and I was curious. This was a serious sandwich. Hot peppers, onions, lettuce, American, sauce, and garlic mayo. I love all of these things, why wouldn't I love them together?! My initial concern was it would be super messy...which it was. Was it worth the mess? You bet. And the roll (which I believe they make with their pizza dough and bake in house) was sturdy enough to hold up to all of these things that would easily wreck a lesser roll. I'd eat this sandwich again without question, but I do plan on ordering other things next time around to see what else they have that will make my taste buds dance. read more

A local favorite that has stood the test of time and not sacrificed quality. I have been coming here for many years now (since my teenage years) and the food remains phenomenal. As of late I have migrated over to enjoying a shared pie & harvest chicken with salad. Love the corn nuggets- as does my daughter. The chicken parm and philly cheese steak are also my favorites from here. This place is always busy with to-go orders cranking out and folks waiting to be seated. Sal's has never disappointed and they continue to have the best tasting pizza. I always start with a slice and then we usually get the Grilled Chicken Salad which is a delectable salad with tons of fresh, crisp veggies included. This is the small salad which is super filling in itself. The chicken is very flavorful. A great weekly stop for us. read more

I love sals, BUT, their prices have skyrocketed.. pizza, cannolis, and subs are all very good.. only had one bad experience where we got small portions of meat and lettuce with one singular tomato... manager was talked to and she handled it well giving us new subs and apologizing, no hard feelings :) overall nice place to go to if you have $100 laying around and 5 mouths to feed. I live in Stockertown (about 6 miles from Sal's) and they deliver to me. Which of course I LOVE! This place was referred to me by a co-worker who actually worked here many moons ago. She said that Sal's had the best hoagies, sandwiches, etc. that she's ever had. She was/is 100% correct. Once you try a cheesesteak/hoagie from here, with the homemade bread and packed thiccc with whatever you order, you won't stray away, because Sal's is totally the best! I order around once a month when feeling like a cheat meal, and it's always awesome! The pizza also is frickin delish, and my fav is the Meat Lovers. This place seriously deserves 6 stars. The boyfriend and I ordered two personal sized pizzas (at 12" they are HUGE for personals, so good value there). We ordered the equivalent of a meat lover's pizza, and we picked five veggie toppings for the other pizza. When I arrived, the staff were just pulling the pizzas from the oven. 15 minutes later, pizzas were still smoking hot when we got home. Overall, the pizzas tasted great. A word of advice, YOU DO NOT NEED TO ORDER EXTRA CHEESE. We didn't, but the pizzas came absolutely loaded. Same for toppings. The toppings tasted fresh and decent; however, I would ask for extra sauce to dip the pizza in. Now the price. Expensive. Paid about $33 between the two of us, but for the amount and quality of the pizza we got, it was worth it. We essentially had a whole personal pizza leftover too. Prices are also temporarily raised due to COVID, but that's fine. Definitely worth the money. Would order again. read more

I typically like Sal's and have been coming here for years, but the experience I had tonight was unacceptable. I called to order a couple of items at 5:42pm for 6:30pm pickup. I arrived at 6:35pm since orders at SAL'S are usually late. I checked in to see when the food would be ready and the manager was beyond disrespectful. I did not get my food until 7:10pm. The manager was rude & obnoxious. He kept asking me, "what do you want me to do about it?!" Biggest jerk I've ever met in my life. Started up our retirement group lunches with Sal's. Reservations for 12, servers had everything ready, service was top shelf, as always the place was packed, there was a second large group and the servers didn't miss a beat...the chef was also delivering food, yes chef, because the quality of food is one of the best around. I went here before and I have had Mix feelings about it, but now I tried there bacon pizza. It is worth getting. Some other pizza restaurants put little bit on it but this one make sure your getting your bacon. The pizza is good and next time I'm going there I'm gonna get the bacon pizza. read more
