We ordered a lot of appetizers to share, including a large antipasto side of meatballs, side of sausage, garlic bread, and calamari, All of which was excellent and very hot! I ordered chicken Parm with the pasta to be penne with vodka sauce. The side of pasta was a whole meal in itself. The chicken Parm and vodka sauce were excellent. I hung out with my long time bud. We used to frequent Pat's Dad's place in Palmer (Penn Pizza). I always heard good about Antonio's and wanted to give it a try and meet Pat. It was a great time! His Lehigh Valley cheese steak gets my Miz's cheesesteak seal of approval, the gold standard by which all cheesesteaks are measured. Pat made me feel like I was in his home enjoying a meal. A 2 hr lunch is very rare for me, and I enjoyed ever second of it! I love that there are 3 dining options. Indoor at the counter looking out at 3rd St., a more formal dining room for larger groups, and outdoor dining. I will definitely stop by whenever I return to my hometown. Review - Went back to Antonio's pizzeria during restaurant week to try some of the other dishes they serve. We've been here before and just love the food. It was a three course price fixed meal with a couple of choices per course. After starting with some wine, we placed our order that began with a Burrata salad. Served with cherry tomatoes and some spring mix was simply perfect. Then we had some pasta. I had penne vodka and my wife had bolognese, both were very good. Then for the main course I had eggplant rollatini and my wife got the beef tips. I sampled both and were absolutely delicious. Finished it all off with some homemade cheese cake. Yummy! The establishment was nice and clean, all the tables were clean and the floor was spotless. We were greeted with a very friendly person at the door who told us that we could sit either in the front room or in the bar/dining area with AC. The AC area was a bit chilly but in a nice way after walking down the street for a few blocks in 85 degrees. If it got too cold we could have moved to the front room. The TV in the bar area was at a good volume; people at the bar could hear it but it didn't disrupt anyone's dining nearby. We were greeted by our server quickly and our drinks arrived very fast. We ordered a white pizza and it was larger than expected and absolutely delicious. We were in shock at how good it was for a random place on the corner. The pizza came in a good time and was piping hot. Service was outstanding. We were checked on but not bombarded with "how is the food???? do you want anything else????" sort of waitressing. We asked for a box and got one promptly. The bill was only about $20 for 2 sodas (refillable) and a large white pizza, which is really good considering the quality. Will 100% be going back next time we're in the area. Only complaint of everything is that we took leftovers home and they weren't nearly as good reheated, but they're meant to be eaten fresh so not a big issue at all. Not really sure what everyone was raving about but I was definitely disappointed. I ordered a vegetarian pizza online which states that it's "loaded with fresh onions & green peppers, ripe tomatoes, freshly sliced mushrooms, black olives." and I wanted pepperoni added to half. I received no onions, no olives, but instead, BROCCOLI and SOGGY EGGPLANT PATTIES. I was so confused that I doubled checked my order to make sure I didn't order it by mistake. I didn't. I took back the pizza and told the cashier that he must have given me the wrong pizza. He told me that's what come on a vegetarian pizza and dismissed me. I tried to pick off the broccoli, eggplant, and old tomatoes off the pizza but it was just horrible. Very soggy and flavorless yet bitter at the same time. Perfect Sicilian pizza! The crust was golden crispy brown topped with onions, olives, brocolli, green and jalapeno peppers (pickeled?). Melted mozzarella covered the top. The jalapeno was an unexpected surprise- it was good without being too spicy. The pizza sauce has a fresh tomato flavor - not over meddled with herbs or spices, but if you like more spice you can add garlic, onions and peppers to your liking. The pan was large enough for 6 people. We sat in the large side dining room in front of the window - perfectly warm despite being 20* outside. My friends ordered beer - there is a wide selection of small batch IPAs and commercial made beer. Antonio's is a family run pizzeria and Italian food restaurant. Christine the mom is always so sweet and attentive to her customer's needs. Pat - Pasqual the son has been cooking for decades, with his wife pitching in to keep everything running. They take real pride in their food. The place is clean. Now Christine's grandkids are helping out! Antonio's has been here 30 years, it will be here another 30. Easton, Pennsylvania has begun to truly establish itself as a town known for its eclectic food offerings. With spots nearby such as Bayou (Cajun fare), 3rd and Ferry Fish Market (seafood pairings), Porter's Pub (gastropub style restaurant), and many more, Easton has become a destination for a good bite and something nice to drink. Enter Antonio's Pizzeria. Upon first sight this place looks like any pizzeria you would see in nearly any city, now let us check out that second view. Antonio's is located on 3rd Street where a good portion of the area's well known dining sits. What you perhaps do not realize when approaching Antonio's is that they also operate out of the other half of the building they are set in and offering a nice variety of meals as well as a pretty stout (pun intended) beer collection. Due to Covid-19 restrictions though, today we are only here for some take out. Good friends of ours responded to a social media post we made in which we asked for suggestions on tasty bites we simply could not miss and said that the Garlic Knots at Antonio's were unrivaled. Well naturally we had to get more than just some garlic knots...let us get right to it! Firstly, you instantly get the family run business vibe when you walk through the door here. From the sweet older lady who greets you as you enter to the rest of the family who that sweet old lady is almost instantly yelling in the back to in order to complete the orders waiting to go out. The "take-out side" of the restaurant was very clean and had coolers with a lot of the fun varieties of beers and ciders as well as case displaying many different styles of cheesecakes, all of which looked fantastic. My girlfriend does not eat cheesecake so I passed unfortunately, however, when I return to Antonio's I will be trying one variety of this cheesecake at the very least. The first item we got to consume is, you guessed it, the famed garlic knots. These were covered with enough garlic butter to give Dracula a heart attack, and I mean that in a good way. If you do not absolutely love garlic, you'll need to pass on these. The garlic flavor was intense, the dough was that perfect mix of soft and pliable but also had a nice crust to them, and the sauce for dipping was quite good. In my opinion great Italian American food really starts with two things: The bread and the sauce. We are off to a really good start. Next, we got a Chicken Parmesan Hero to split. First thing I noticed was this sandwich was massive. As you can see in the clip, I can barely get my mouth around it to take a bite. The same sauce from the garlic knots is used here as well as a very generous amount of cheese. The chicken was very thin which was very exciting to see. The mouth feel and overall texture of thinner chicken breast for a Chicken Parmesan is so appealing. And again, this bread was very good. Fresh, crusty, strong enough to handle the sauce and heavy meat and cheese but also soft and doughy in the center. For our last item we decided to also split a cheesesteak. I am particular about my cheesesteaks because I have had over 3 dozen cheesesteaks at different locations all through Pennsylvania (not just in Philadelphia). It was pretty dark where we were filming so it was hard to physically see the steak which for me is part of the analysis. I could not tell if the cheese was mixed into the meat or if it was melted on the bun. I have had them all different ways in my life and I assumed (incorrectly) on the video clip that it was melted underneath but came to find out after a few bites that it was all mixed together with the meat. This was a quality cheesesteak. I hate to beat a dead horse, but this really starts with the bread. The portion was very generous, and the meat was chopped up finely enough that it was easy to chew but not so fine that it was beef dust and cheese on a bun. Uhm, did I mention I have had a lot of cheesesteaks? Honestly, this stood up to a few of the larger names in the Philadelphia area. After securing another order of garlic knots for our friends who made the suggestion to come here, The total cost was still under $40. I found that to be a good cost vs. quality for the items we got for sure. After contacting the owners a couple weeks after we put this content together, we have begun to make plans to visit Antonio's and have a nice sit down meal and chat a bit with the staff now that the Covid-19 restrictions are a little lighter. This is fantastic news for my stomach, and everyone here seemed so friendly I'm very much looking forward to talking a bit more. Not much of a guessing game on this one folks ...
