Pizza well done thin crust- Was not crispy, fold a piece of pizza in half, this pizza folded down on itself. Like droopy drawers. We asked for extra ricotta which was tasteless and meager as well as the meat balls. 2 Meatball dinner w/ broccoli and garlic bread There is an appetizer for meatballs that comes with 3 meatballs, yet the dinner only came with 2 meatballs and is 3 times the price of the appetizer. There is no picture of the meal so obviously I expected it to have at least 3 meatballs NOPE. Even more I asked for angel hair and I got regular spaghetti noodles. Tiramisu Not worth the money. I've enjoyed this dessert that is soaked in a coffee chocolate milk. DRY and mousse very thin. Cheese cake honestly I didn't eat this but my other half is a connoisseur. He found it eatable. Maybe they changed ownership IDK but this was the worst meal I have had in a long time. I make a better meal with a pound of ground beef, spinach, eggs, cheese. First time dining here based on a friend's recommendation. We shared a Greek salad, which was mare than ample for three. We followed the salad with a large meat-lover's pizza, which again was more than ample. The pizza was great and the service excellent. We were so excited to give them a try. The salads were really good, nice house dressing. I wanted the sliced piece of pizza and was later told that they would not do it even though it was in the menu. So, I ordered a small cheese pizza instead. My wife is gluten free and so also had a good salad. But then, as they didn't have GF pasta ($2.59 at any grocery store), so we brought some of our own. They agreed to cook it and would sell their red sauce in a 1 ounce container for $1.00. She may have needed a couple. So they cook her pasta and she says it tastes ok. When the bill arrives, they charged her for the regular portion of the pasta instead of the agreed amount. My wife was irate and said, no you agreed to letting me buy the sauce and no extra charge. After they had to call the owner who by now had left, they all agreed to charge us the original amount. Would we come back here? Really not sure. The food was ok, but now really what we expected regarding to a piece of pizza and their not having gluten free pasta. All of this could have been avoided by simply buying a few GF boxes of pasta and leaving them on the shelf until needed. The pasta lasts for a really long time in the box. The antipasti sale is delicious as is the stromboli, the chicken parm and the meatballs. The guys in the kitchen, Paul and Chris, are great! I tried this place once about a year ago and wasn't really impressed with there regular pepperoni pizza. But a month ago I tried them again and was one of the best buffalo chicken pizzas I've ever had. The crust is golden and flakey and the pie is absolutely delicious. I got garlic knots as well and those were pretty good although it could have been a little more wet. I'd say this place is a little pricey. An xl pizza and 6 knots came out to almost $30 but I do understand prices are rising. Due to cost I can't be eating this amazing pizza often but it is a great treat when I do! read more

This is in the building where Stavro's was located in Leesburg for years. The interior has been completely renovated and it looks great. I tried a sausage and pepperoni pizza and it was very good. Good amount of meat without being overloaded. Definitely worth trying, and I will return to try some of the Italian dishes on the menu. RESTAURANT REVIEW: We hit Mamma Mia Pizzeria in Leesburg last night, but unfortunately, I wish we hadn't. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, but she brought out my entree before she brought out my husband's which to my mind is a BIG no no. I'm not going to eat while someone sits beside me with no food. We started by sharing a bowl of pasta fagioli soup. It would be nice if they had cups because the bowl is way too big for one person. Unfortunately, the soup was tasteless. Even worse, the kidney beans were hard. How does that happen? Why would a restaurant which seems to specialize in short cuts, cook their own beans? Not a good start to the meal. I will say the biscuit that came with the soup was very good--probably the best thing we ate at this restaurant. I ordered the Pizza Bianca which featured mozzarella and ricotta cheese. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. It was too salty, and this from a person who likes salt way too much. It tasted like the kind of frozen pizza you pick up at the grocery store when you don't want to cook and are too tired to go out. My husband was pretty disappointed in his meal, too. The meatball sub was bland without much flavor. The meatballs were very soft and mushy. It wasn't quality meat. The fries that came with it were okay, reheated frozen, but at least they weren't tasteless. I'm very much committed to supporting small local businesses, but they have to provide value for the dollar. To my mind, Mamma Mia doesn't. This is my opinion only. The restaurant has tons of fans and if you're one of them, more power to you, and to the restaurant itself. It just isn't for us. read more

Oh my goodness... About time that leesburg got some good pizza and italian. We went during the soft opening and We started out with meatballs and an order of garlic knots. The knots were flavorful crispy on top and soft in the middle just melted in your mouth. The meatballs are probably the best ive had in the area. Next was the tour of italy and a gyro. Both were very delish the only complaint i had about either was presentation. The tour of italy was all kind of placed together and you couldnt tell what was what but other then that it was very tasty. And for the gryo maybe a bit more meat but the tzatziki (cucmber dill sauce) was house made and AMAZING. Pizza was crisp sauce was flavorful plenty of toppings and cheese. And then last was the cheesecake real ny style cheesecake.... Absolutely amazing... We will be back over and over. read more

We were headed to another pizza restaurant, only to arrive and find out their dining room was STILL closed and they were only doing take-out our delivery, so we jumped back into the car and decided to try Mamma Mia's. SO glad we did! We started with the garlic knots, which were among the best we've ever had, very flavorful and covered with yummy garlic. My (crazy?) husband ordered his fav pizza, thin and crispy with double anchovies and said it was wonderful. The rest of us simply took his word for it, 'cause we weren't going to try it! My daughter, her kids and I shared an extra large margherita pizza and it was absolutely delicious! The server was helpful and friendly, and the manager even stopped by the table to check on us. I ordered the garlic knots- very tasty, chicken parmigiana..my wife said "oh yes!" we'll be ordering from here again! She loved the sauce, taste, and portions (she has another meal for tomorrow). I ordered the calzone- it may not be the best I have ever had, but it rated pretty darn good in my book and in the top 4 or 5....only regret now is I should have ordered two calzones- so I could have another one while my wife finishes up her chicken parm. having originated from Long Island, New York, where you can find top Restaurants and pizza parlors on every other block, I am a tough critic. i have not found anyplace in central Florida that can come close to New York restaurants/pizza parlors. Even the so called "excellent" ones in the area are just "ok" at best. The portions are barely enough to feed a child. Certainly nothing compared to everyplace up north. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered this unassuming, little gem. I wasn't expecting much because the inside is ultra casual, with a larger variety of pizza than pastas on the menu. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, which to my surprise, when tasted, brought back memories of home. The amount was what I was used to seeing in new york with enough to take home for another meal. the sauce was excellent and not inundated with oregano and garlic, two ingredients that many restaurants abuse. being a full blooded Italian, I "never" add oregano to my sauce. A friend ordered manicotti which was delicious and filled very well. The garlic knots were soft and covered with fresh garlic, as they should be. side salad was a nice, decent size with more than just plain lettuce. House dressing was homemade and delicious. Upon leaving, I complimented the owner who said he learned to cook Italian food by living and working in the bronx, n.y. And added that he would not serve what he wouldn't eat himself. The added pleasure to the evening was a senior gent playing the keyboard singing 40's songs in a soft, pleasing voice. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the decor could be improved a bit. perhaps tablecloths and dimmer lights with a little candle and free refills on the garlic knots, with bread being such an inexpensive item to keep customers coming back. Also the waitresses, although very nice, need some improvement with better detailEd knowledge of their menu items. I did not have the pizza but on another visit, the meat filled calzone was very large and very well filled, unlike most other places. This has become my go to Italian place. read more
