I visited Manasquan for the first time in several years today and I was shocked at the level of disrepair evident everywhere in the club. The men's locker room was particularly disappointing, and the showers were frankly unsanitary and covered in mold. What was once a lifestyle club with immaculate facilities is now substandard to the $29/month clubs. It's embarrassing to be a member of the Atlantic Club now.

The esthetician said in 1 treatment I would see a significant difference, so I went ahead with the treatment not only did the treatment hurt like hell with the pressure of the pressing on my face with the medal head used for the treatment it literally took 20 minutes and it was done. I went back in and complained to owner and was advised I needed to purchase more sessions for over 1000.00. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I've just heard back that when you sign waiver at salon it says no refunds and all sales are final plus results are not guarantee. I would say on the occasion, some of the machines are out of service. I think this is the norm for most gyms. My other gripe about this place is that it feels a little dark - I wish the lighting would be better. This is just a preference about the lighting and made no impact on my impression/score of this institution. For example, there was another retro fitness a few miles away that closed down. I just simply liked the fact that it was brighter in that place than in this gym. One other issue is that I feel the locker rooms are a little dirty, especially the men's. There are signs that other people had tampered with the toilets in the past. It's kind of a shame because if the locker rooms were a little bit better, I would give this a five star review. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and I'm very positive about this gym with only very minor issues. If you don't want to spend much and need something in a pinch, this is honestly a great place. I think this is leagues above the other bargain gyms in the area.
