This charming, cozy restaurant that makes you feel like you're eating a home-cooked meal in a kitchen in Thailand. Everything is so freshly made and flavored that it's so hard not to stuff yourself! We got a ton: the crispy Thai dumpling, the crunchy larb gai salad, the garlicky pad kee mao, the sweet and savory pineapple friend rice, and the perfect dessert, the mango sticky rice. Always solid Thai from Mana Thai. This is a really small hole in the wall spot, not much room to eat in so we usually just order take-out. Our food was prepared on the spot by a Thai gentleman, presumably the owner. Everything was delicious! My favorite Thai dish is Yum Nuer beef salad; this version is a little heavy on onions but the flavors are all there - tangy, spicy, and fresh. read more

We just popped in spontaneously. Ambiance is okay. We chose to sit down vs take out. There's enough seating for approx 14-16 ppl. I'm assuming it's a husband and wife team. They speak very good English. I can see where other ppl felt the man looked like a grump but he was rather pleasant and personable, making jokes as I gobbled up my dish. The wife was very nice too! The menu had great options to choose from, yet simple. Worked for me, as I am not well-versed in Thai food. I ordered the steamed Thai Dumplings and Red Curry Shrimp. Food came out fast and hot! This is my go to Thai place after moving to the area from the city. The owner has the best sense of humor and remembers me every time I go in. He always makes the dishes fresh on the spot, so you know you're getting a nice fresh meal, not something that came out of the microwave. My usuals are Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thai, and Mango sticky rice and they are always spot on. It's a little hole in the wall place, so don't expect a white tablecloth, but the food is fantastic nonetheless. read more

My wife had the Chicken with peanut sauce. The whole dish tasted "off". The rice was cold, and the bok choy was not fresh. I had the stirfry ginger chicken. In a convenient strip mall it is a small location with a few tables. The atmosphere isn't the best to eat in, definitely better for takeout. I'll be honest, the food is really good. Definitely the best Thai food in the area next to D Thai Kitchen. The Thai beef steak was the best I've ever had, I had tried to imitate it to no avail. The noodles are delicious too, kinda pricey but good portions. They have sticky rice too which is way to hard to find! If the food is so terrific then why the low-star review? Well, the guy that I assume is the owner is a tool. Every time we go in there he always looks miserable, almost gets annoyed when you ask him for basic service. Thailand is supposed to be the land of smiles! The service was so dreadful that we had to go up to the stand and get our utensils, there was a waitress there! We made the commitment to not support a business that does not emphasize hospitality, despite how good the food is. If I want to pay money to get terrible service then I'll go to the DMV. I've never been to Thailand, but I imagine the food here at Mana Thai could easily be found there. It felt like you were eating with family, snacking on special recipes passed down through generations. The chef was like your relative who invited you over to his house to celebrate the weekend. The larb was my favorite - freshly cut onions, cilantro, and crispy lettuce, with a wonderfully balanced sweet, sour, and spicy sauce. The noodles were packed with flavor while the fried rice nicely calmed the taste buds with the creaminess of the coconut milk. So glad to have found this place and will return shortly! read more

The cashier, waitress is also the sou chef and after touching the money, her hair, the table, I saw her putting the shredded carrots over the salad with her bare hands. She's too busy that she forgot that she needs to wash her hand. But I didn't order salad - thank God. I really love what we ordered: Tom kha gai, taro custard, chicken pad ee mow, spring roll . The chef owner is very friendly and you know the locals love them. Recommendation: Order to go , don't eat there as it is not really a restaurant. It is is like a Chinese take out with few tables. While making our rounds and in need of something to eat we headed over to Mana Thai Cuisine where we have had decent food in the past, which accommodated our vegetarian and vegan diet. We walked into an empty restaurant and where greeted by a woman whom we have been served by in the past. The owner/chef was behind the counter at the grill where we have always seen him. We were given a choice of seating (hello there is no one else here) and took a seat by the window. We both ordered a Thai Iced Tea (AKA TIT) to drink. My wife ordered the Vegetarian Duck (Seitan) and the server didn't understand so we pointed it out on the menu in the Vegetarian section. I then pointed to the vegetarian Pad Thai and told our served that I will have the vegetarian Pad Thai and then said I would like a side of Jasmine Rice while pointing to that on the menu in the side's section. The first dish brought to the table was my wife's along with the rice, which comes with her meal. My meal followed shortly thereafter but the side of Jasmine Rice was MIA. We informed the server that I had ordered a side of Rice to which she brings a plate of white rice and not the Basmati that was ordered but I suck it up. I was so hungry and without looking take in a fork full of the Pad Thai and immediately knew something was wrong and had to eject the food from my mouth. It was at this time I noticed that the dish was laden with chunks of chicken flesh something I choose not to eat as I find it repulsive. The server was informed and her boss asked her something in their native tongue to which he said I ordered that dish. Now having eaten here before and having always ordered the same dish I told him that it was pointed out on the menu to the server that I wanted the Vegetarian Pad Thai as we do not eat meat. The server while seemingly giggling kept saying "So Sorry Sir" that I had to tell her I get it that you are sorry. Neither one of them seemingly had any respect for us, and our dietary choices but did provide me with what I had ordered. When the check arrived they included all the items ordered and did not try to make good on their error like most establishments do, so rather than getting into a debate about the billing and getting more stressed over the events we paid the bill and left. read more

I don't mind the attitude, but the lack of masks made me very concerned. Tables aren't cleared and cleaned until new customers want to sit at the table. Waiter mixed up orders and didn't apologize. Long wait for food. I am so glad I found this place. I've ordered online for pickup, which was so simple. However, their online menu doesn't have their in store specials like Thai iced coffee, chive dumplings, taro custard (etc..). In store dining was also wonderful. The decor and dishes remind me of eating in someone's home and the space is very intimate. Pricing is standard and common within the area. I always have a wonderful experience at Mana Thai!!! I love Thai food and frequent many restaurants in NYC. I was so glad when I found such a great place so close to home. The food is more than delicious. I've tried their Tofu Pad Khing, Tofu Eggplant Kra Prow and Gilled Salmon with Garlic Sauce. All three choices were well prepared, fresh and mouthwatering!!! I always have the thai iced tea which has a beautiful presentation. The food does not take long to be prepared and the fact that you can see the chef/owner cooking is wonderful. You know your getting well prepared food! The first time I went to Mana Thai with my brother, we brought my mother the second time and the third time my father. Everyone was extremely satisfied after their meal. I will continue bringing the people I love to this restaurant and strongly recommend it to others! I would've liked to try some of the homemade dumplings but the owner/waiter let me know they were frozen. Such a shame if they make them in house. In fact most all of the appetizers were frozen. Mana Thai resides in the space that used to hold Myong Private Label Gourmet and offers reasonably priced Thai food (offering some needed competition to the other Thai restaurant in the neighorhood, Thai Angels, which is way more expensive). On the whole, the grub was pretty decent. We started with Thai Spring Rolls (nothing to write home about) as well as two soups: Tom Yum Koong (a clear spicy broth with shrimp) and Tom Kha Gai (a coconut milk based soup). Followed that up with both the Red and Green Curry entrees and the Thai food staple, Pad Thai. The green curry packed a little more punch but the red was still fairly spicy. The Pad Thai was your pretty standard incarnation. Everything considered, it's a nice, affordable lunch alternative rather than going with one of the many local Chinese and Japanese joints in the area. I went to pick up our food and they had forgotten one of the items. We had realized only when we got back and when we called they were very haughty. Refusing to refund the amount of the item they forgot on my card or cash. The only option was to drive back another 20min to pick up the item. We were both in the mood for Thai, but seeing as all the places by us are usually closed on Mondays we went to Yelp and found Mana Thai, which isn't too far away. I'm so glad we did. I rarely write reviews although felt compelled to write this one. They really should be ashamed of themselves. Although the food was delicious, there was hardly any of it-seriously!
