How you use the space is pretty customizable. We got married 10/20 at gatehouse and the ivy was a deep, beautiful red. Our reception was very fun and we danced the night away! When you book here, you're assigned a wedding coordinator who is more than a day of coordinator but not exactly a wedding planner. Their job is to be a go between for vendors to take the stress off of the couple who is planning. Once we got into planning, the coordinator only had a small list of "preferred vendors" for Lionsgate, which she would help coordinate with. The preferred vendors were more expensive than average and not really our taste as a queer couple. So, a lot of the planning fell to us. If you get married here, my advice would be to hire a wedding planner anyway. Note that if you book here you have to use their preferred liquor vendor (party liquor) as well as hire a Lionsgate preferred DJ. You can hire any other vendors you'd like. When you ask for prices, make sure to ask for hidden fees and costs. We have had a couple of surprises in our bills and deposits.

When I saw her at the wedding reception, she acted busy and not concerned with my questions. She brushed me off, responded annoyingly to me saying she doesn't have a cell phone and was doing a wedding that morning. I'm sorry, but you cannot be in catering and NOT have a cell phone. It was 2012 at the time. She had a bad attitude and was incredibly snappy with me. I was an extension of the customer and her customer service was lacking. Her food was okay at best. The wedding had around 70 guests and they couldn't keep up, which I've had dinner parties for that many and I've kept up. She and her staff arrived looking incredibly frumpy with oversized sweatshirts over black pants & white tops. She also puts a 5x7 portrait advertising herself and a huge, unattractive frame advertising at the wedding. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere for your catering needs.

When the time did come to book her party, she decided she still really wanted to have her party here. I reached out via the form on the website and heard back super quickly with details on pricing and options, and just as quickly when I asked for availability for the specific day. We booked the party and made our deposit and leading up to the party had a lot of updates to throw at them including number of people, time in the party area, and add ons like ordering pizza. Each time their responses were prompt and incredibly helpful. On the day of the party Jared greeted me and gave me the full run down, and made sure all my questions were answered. We got set up and right at our party time they brought the kids on the floor for both guided activities and free play. They really made my daughter feel special by letting her lead the activities and even gave her a few special things to do, which she absolutely loved! All the kids in the party had an amazing time with coach Jared and coach Logan and we felt they were safe and taken care of the entire time. At the end of the party, every single parent came up to tell us how much they and their kid loved the party. Jared let us know we could leave anything we didn't want to take (extra food, decorations, etc) and they would clean it up. That was a huge bonus and made our life so much easier! Jared, Logan, and the party planning team made my daughter's birthday part so amazingly smooth and fun - I would not be surprised if she wants to come back next year and I would gladly do it all again!

We had a backyard wedding so there was a lot of coordinating between vendors and Gabriella made it seamless. She was always willing to answer my hundreds of questions, she put together a wedding inspiration board to help with decor and colors, reach out to vendors for quotes, and so much more. The day of our wedding, Gabriella and Frank made our day absolutely perfect. Both my husband and I were able to relax and not stress about the details the day of because we knew Gabriella and Frank had it covered. They created binders that had all the vendor information, day of timeline, venue layouts, etc. that they gave to us and the other vendors so everyone was on the same page. They set up all our centerpieces and put out all the decor we had gathered for the wedding. I added some pics because they did amazing. I didn't have an exact idea what I wanted so I told Gabriella to use her creative freedom and I loved it. I had also mentioned to her that I forgot to order a sign for our guest book the week before the wedding and she immediately offered to make one for me and bring it the day of. They made sure we had a drink and/or food in hand throughout the whole night and handled any questions from various vendors or guests so we didn't have to. With her copious notes from our venue walkthrough, Melissa oversaw the setup of the majority of our layout and decor and executed things beautifully.
