I love this course, but unfortunately, the slow play will keep me from going back been here several times and every time is the same

It was a Monday morming, could have chosen any other golf course to go to. Chose this one simce I have been there before and views are very nice. Had a male riding in cart who paid for round of golf but only was ridng in cart. They gentlemen continuously shouted to one another "the lady will just be sitting in cart" i finally said "No! I am thr one golfing, why do you keep shouting that to one another and assumimg its the male who would be golfing?" They were masogonistic, old man followed us whole time for no reason. Staring. Making me very uncomfortable. The whole morning felt like harrassment and was extremely embarrassing. They were rude and mean when we left. The person in other cart was shocked by how we were treated. He said it was his first and definitely his last time golfing there. He is an avid golfer and takes clients out regularly. They were absolutley disgusting and I am shocked the our wonderful metroparks hires such condescending men. I have told this story to many other golfers, I know alot of them, since I myself love on a golf course. It made me sick to know women are treated this way at such a supposed reputable and classy course. I beg to differ. read more

Very difficult. But they have shorter tees for high handicappers. Many undulating fairways and elevated greens. Bring lots of balls and leave your ego at home. Amazing course. read more

This used to be a great course. It's still laid out the same and still has the same challenges. But the maintenance of the course is horrible. It's not even June and the course is beat up. It is much worse than every other course I have played this year. Not sure what changed in the maintenance crew but something obviously has. It costs more than the other local courses and used to be worth it. Tee boxes are a mess, and now is when the grass is growing, I would hate to see this course during the summer months when nothing is growing. Move on, not worth it anymore. read more

Played Manakiki over the weekend. I won't pretend to be that knowledgeable when it comes to golf courses, but it certainly seemed like a very challenging course. There are a lot of elevation changes and it seemed to me that on many, if not most, of my shots, I had to deal with not being able to hit the ball on a completely flat surface (i.e., feet above/below the ball or left foot higher/lower than the right). The course itself is beautiful--the view from nearly every tee is a sight in itself. I thought there was a restrained and judicious use of water hazards and sand traps. Two negatives: The greens must have just been recently aerated--it was a little disconcerting lining up long putts. Second, on one hole, there was clearly construction going on in a "sand" bunker to the left of the hole. It ended up being a brutally deep mud hole complete with a backhoe shovel sitting in the middle of it. Needless to say, my ball strained mightily to get a closer look, but fortunately my approach shot...sailed right over the green. read more

The course itself is 5/5. The management is atrocious. The kind of place that blames their pace of play on players. Bottlenecks on every par 5, lots of par 4s. Tee times are smashed together, like a highway designed to create rush hour. You'd make more money if you spaced groups out, and pushed back the par 5 tees. read more

Have played here before and usually enjoy the course. However, today was a different experience. Arrived about twenty minutes before our tee time and didn't tee off until 15 minutes past it. The sprinklers center of the fairway were going on two holes. When we called to make the clubhouse aware they didn't seem to care and said make sure to "stay away, it's stinky water." In addition, there was a group of 6 playing in front of us with loud rap music blaring. The clubhouse was not very accommodating and again did not seem to care. Very disappointed in this experience. Needless to say, I won't be coming back this summer, unless I get the urge to cool off in the sprinklers on a hot summer day and jam out to some rap. #SpringBreak read more

Went for 9 holes with my husband on a Thursday night, me being a beginner. At the first hole I was told by a worker that after I hit/try 3x just pick my ball ip and keep going. He then continued on how we don't want to hold anyone up. Now at hole 3 and we are sitting waiting our turn cause group in front of us is not done and have a party waiting behind us to go. I am a beginner but have to start somewhere. I paid just like everyone else. I know a business but completely rude and no space in between. We won't be back! read more

horrible service, very discriminatory towards younger people and VERY argumentative when we asked for a refund. it was our first time at this course and no one had told us, nor did the website tell us, that if you're a smaller group they pair you with others. some people maybe be way above or way below the paired groups skill set and feel discouraged if they have to wait for you. golfing is suppose to be fun, not rushed and feeling judged. read more

Manakiki is truly a gem, and NE Ohio is lucky to have it in their back yard. I have however played it for the last time! Over six and a half hours for a round is nuts. No course is worth it!! Goodbye!!!! read more

One of my friends recently got married here and I was very impressed with the venue. They had an outdoor wedding and the setting was beautiful. They were married under a gazebo overlooking the woods which added to the entire atmosphere of the event. read more
