Get rid of the cockroaches, get side bars for the beds, get better workers to attend to patients…read morewhen they need water my dad had the worst service ever the bathroom was so dirty I'm surprised that they are even opened and that the health department hasn't shut them down no stats

Attn: Jarrod - Chief Administrator…read moreRosa - Admissions Director Lorena -Admissions Coordinator Pat - Social Worker Ivan -Client Relations ** and many other staff members like nurses & therapists whose names I have forgotten (sorry) Recently my loved one who I am sole caregiver for - Dagoberto Arguijo needed to spend 3 weeks in a skilled nursing center to receive IV antibiotics to battle a very stubborn & complicated UTI. Previous medication given had left him hallucinating and it had diminished his mental state. When he went to Camino Healthcare he was terrified, confused and not able to communicate his needs which made it difficult for both himself and staff. Within a day the wonderful staff - Chief Administrator Jarrod and Admissions Coordinator Lorena were able to address each concern, speak to staff regarding his needs and within hours made him feel comfortable enough to want to stay. No more calls every hour pleading to take him home. My stress level & blood pressure lowered immediately, I was so worried because Dago could not go home - he needed them to administer the antibiotics no matter what. But I also worried about the staff and his care, I have had 3 family members in nursing homes that were very mistreated and there were near fatal errors by careless staff. I had to go see them almost every day and had hired people to check on them during the day because of all the problems. For instance I found my father was in lunch room eating with feces under his fingers and a diaper so full poop was going down his pant leg. My 103 year old grandmother had huge bruises all over her back and arms. Then my non verbal brother ended up with large deep infected pressure wounds within 2 wks, given wrong medications that belonged to a patient in the same room. I always found him laying in bed no sheet with a very full diaper. So I was truly expecting the worse because Dago is paralyzed, has existing pressure ulcers and has many medical issues stemming from his paralysis and had tubes coming from his kidney due to 4th stage renal failure. Add the onset of dementia from the medications it was a true recipe for disaster. But I have to say, Camino Health went above and beyond what I expected. The professionalism of each and every staff member, the dedication to each patient - no one is ignored. This includes cleaning & lunch staff, they all interact and know each patient by name. Staff members introduce themselves and tell you if you need anything they are there for you - and they mean it. Staff is a true loving family and their daily mission is to take care of your precious family member. During my visits I also noticed Dago's bed, immaculate - room clean and tidy, did not smell of pee, poop or Lysol like all other nursing homes. Always had a fresh jug of ice water, room trash cans was not full of dirty diapers. Cleaning staff came regularly to assure each room was comfortable and perfect. Hallways are also very clean and inviting with the smiling faces of staff members ready to greet you as you walk by. Its my opinion that Camino Heath in Hawthorne is the place that I most definitely would want to spend the rest of my days if I ever had to. Updated my will and advanced directive to state this wish. So you are faced with the difficult decision of placing your loved one in a nursing home I highly recommend you contact them so they will receive the highest level of care.

My aunt has been at Rosecrans Care Center for the past several months…read more Everytime we visit the facility is clean and there is plenty of staff to attend to the residents. Their activity staff is great. They play games along with various activities to coordinate with the different holidays and themes for each month. The physical therapy staff not only works with my aunt on her physical body, but they also give her stimulating mind activities as well. Overall this is a great facility for your loved ones. Thank you,

My insurance found RCC. There are plenty of empty beds in this facility. I can understand why…read more RCC was more than willing to take my husband for care and physical rehabilitation. Prerequisite was he had a bowel movement with in the last two days, could be safely discharge from hospital and find safe transportation from Paso Robles to Gardena. I was not informed there would be no Physical Care, scheduling and advocacy for admitting patient during the weekend. The long 5 hour drive was painful and uncomfortable for my husband Upon arrival an assistant picked up my husband and plopped him into a wheelchair. With total disregard to the hip pain and surgery my husband had undergone, or to allow my husband to exit the car on his own with some assistance. There was no pillow or blanket on his bed. I went and purchased food for my husband to eat. Only pain medication available was Tydonal until after medical evaluation on Monday afternoon. It was 6:30 pm Saturday. Staff seems to be over worked and under staffed on weekends. The room my husband was placed in, had 4 beds two were already occupied. The room had a strong stifling odor of urine and smelly wet sheets. By 8:45pm, my husband called and asked to be picked up and I took him home. RCC was not prepared for caring for my husband's physical needs, pain management, wound care and wellbeing after his surgery and long transportation to an aftercare facility.
