I'm so thankful I stumbled upon this "hidden" gem. After having no success in getting a massage at…read moretwo other establishments, I was so happy that I came across Bella Isa. It was perfect timing, apparently, because I was taken right in for a two-hour massage. Got a nice little foot wash outside the front door to wash off the sand and dust, then was led back inside. The young female receptionist asked what virgin coconut oil-based massage oil I wanted (I chose ylang ylang), then was led to the treatment room. I was too excited to stop and take a picture of how serene and tastefully decorated this room was. Rhod (short for Rhodalyn) was my massage therapist. She was warm, friendly, and professional. Her hands were strong and skilled, finding my problem areas and working on them well. She did lull me to sleep a few times (and I snored myself awake!). When the session ended, I was loosened up, relaxed, yet rejuvenated. I was offered hot tea--I chose the ginger tea--it was so delicious. I managed to get in another session before leaving the island (note: this time, I came directly from the beach and they offered a shower, and a clean towel and wrap before I was led to the treatment room; enjoyed hot ginger tea again afterward).

5 stars for the 90min massage, but 3 stars for the manicure!…read more First things first...this place was highly rated on TripAdvisor, so naturally I was curious. There are tons of massage places in Boracay and all for super cheap (Around 300 PHP). Then there are the fancy smancy ones that you can get inside your luxury hotel that are a whopping 3000 PHP. This one is on the higher end for massage places..where a 90 Min massage was just shy of 2000 PHP. So why pay alnost 7x more? Well.. 1. I just wanted to experience both sides. 2. the first cheap massage place I went to was kind of shady, with questionable hygiene..and no breathing hole in the massage bed. It was like getting suffocated by face planting into a mattress where no one has ever changed the sheets and you wonder how many other ppl have face planted their oily, unwashed faces in the exact same spot. So yes...wanted to try to experience the higher end! This was probably one of the BEST massage experiences I have ever had. They're super friendly, it's CLEAN, they wash your feet and give you slippers before you enter, there's a face hole in the massage bed so you can breathe, and they have this AMAZING ginger tea you can get. It's hot..but so delicious! Manicures/pedicures are offered here..but there are only 3 seats so you might have to wait a while. My manicure lasted about 2 minutes after getting out of the seat because I decided to pull my jean shorts off before my nails were dry. I would say its not really their forte with limited color selection. I would also say, getting a mani/pedi in humid, hot weather means it takes foreverrrr to dry. Probably wouldn't recommend it in general, but sometimes you just need it! All in all, i loved my experience here! you get what you pay for..and I'll take $34 for a 90 min massage any day!

Still 4 stars but closer to 4.5 because of their 3 best therapists, Manila-trained gifted Laila,…read moresimilarly gifted Karen, and effective Maitz and Flor. With a certain degree of confidence, I stress 'Manila-trained' here as best because: 1. after living in the NCR for 4.5 years, 8.5 years in the Visayas, and travelling throughout the Philippines, I came to know that the full-body work in the big city far exceeds the quality of most massages in the provinces: in Mla they tend to focus on what you ask them to do more effectively, usually do belly and chest work, will work your glutes better than those trained in smaller centers, will walk on your back if it helps, and overall do better work on all body parts; 2. personally trained by a Manila RMT (Registered Massage Therapist) for 3.5 months, and, after getting over 2000 massages in the past few decades, I can compare great from fair, asian from western work; 3. one of the best massages in Canada recently was by a filipina trained in Manila: to their credit, pinay tend to be more 'feel and rhythm' than most anatomically-aware technique-trained caucasians; 4. the few best therapists in the pinoy provinces tend to be highly-gifted: they tend to create on the fly, intuitively 'feeling' their way across the landscape of your body. Accordingly, the best will stop to work on a 'cold' or hard muscle, fibre, or area, and may even go overtime so that clients go away slightly sore but 'body-happy.' 5. as of late 2019, apparently Laila will double as trainer to the other staff to also equip them in Manila techniques. Good move. Although at times too loud. unvaried and choppy, the music at this spa is relaxingly oriental asian. Their mattresses are long and solid and quiet, and the cubical/rooms as good as it gets. In general, staff are quieter than most run-of-the-mill spas. The front desk at times can be late to open up at 1pm, but is pretty good in accommodating your needs: I don't get it that only one therapist shows up then; surely at least 2 should start then with a couple more to follow at 2 pm? After all, likely not paid hourly rates, does it not make sense to be present to get your 60-90 pesos per session plus tips? Call ahead for an appointment esp. in the evening? Lots of folx come after work and supper... You won't get extra service at Royal Caress, nor should you ask for it. Please refer to my previous review for a few more details. You won't be disappointed when you get one of these four fine pinay body workers, and the others are as good as elsewhere for a variety of massage services.

The District Boracay - Pool area

I LOVE BORACAY, PI. AND I LOVE THE DISTRICT BORACAY !!! They were the cherry on top with our stay…read more First off, flying to the PI from the US is long and on top of that taking another flight to Caticlan AND then a 15 min drive AND then a speed boat AND then another drive to the hotel!!! It's overwhelming just when you land in Manila. However, once we got to Caticlan the District takes care of everything else. At the arrival of meeting a District staff member at the airport I just felt so relieved knowing we can relax and be worry free. Staff reassured us we were going to be taken care of. All of the staff on the boat and cars were so welcoming and took photos of our landing. When we got to the hotel, we were welcomed with cold eucalyptus towels (which you're gonna want bc of the humidity) & a refreshing cucumber cooler drink ! Check in was an ease and we got to our room without much of a wait. Room is probably the better of the ones in station 2 with AC & tv with all streaming services. We get a cute balcony. They have night time getting ready turn around and fully daily room service. All inclusive breakfast buffet which changes daily and beach access chairs with umbrellas. My BF and I every day would walk the beach, get our seats, & the. swim/relax for the day. No need to claim as there is always plenty. They have a spa and it is fantastic ! We got 3 massages on our 5 day stay and shout out to Grace - hands of an angel! Best massages ever, with a variety to choose. They were well needed after our flight. They have a pool, but we avoided bc the beautiful beach is right outside the hotel. We did however sit by the poolside to escape the sun during peak hours. They have a very small basic gym, which had everything we needed. It was great to get our workouts in cause that's a part of our lifestyle. There's also three other restaurants in the hotel which was delicious. Higher prices compared to restaurants on the station, they deliver to the beach if you're sitting there. Try their Japanese restaurant, very fresh high quality fish. I will say the hospitality in the PI is 10/10 & the hospitality at The District was 100/10. They were on top of everything and always greeting with the smiles. Please make sure to tip them for all their excellent work (including transportation and staff assisting with luggage) !!! Boracay is a tourist destination, & the beautiful staff assist us with over the top service and they deserve so much for what they are actually paid!!! If you can afford to travel to Boracay, you can afford to tip the amazing service. If you're looking for a nice stay, celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, etc stay here!!!

They made our transportation experience from landing at the airport, taking a boat to the island, and transport to the hotel very seamless. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming and the overall hotel is clean. We enjoyed their spa and really took advantage of it and went twice during our stay and enjoyed each session. It was definitely a soothing and relaxing massage especially from all the walking and being out in the hot sun. The beach is literally footsteps from the hotel making it super convenient and the hotel is located at station 2 making it a great location that is near Dmall and various other restaurants, stores, and more. If I were to ever return to Boracay, I'd definitely stay here again!
