MandarinArts Studio is fantastic. Our daughter has participated in the Trilingual Playground Program and is attending summer camp. We have seen our daughter's Spanish and Mandarin language skills explode throughout her participation. We have also seen her social skills increase. The programming has also helped her with her developmental milestones. MandarinArts' unique approach to teaching Spanish and Mandarin languages has been fantastic because we can see our daughter learn the same content in two languages simultaneously- and that's pretty cool. Our 2.5-year-old son has been enrolled here for six months and is still currently attending the summer camp. In this time we've experienced the Do Re Mi music class (weekend), Mandarin 101 (weekend), and the Playground trilingual program (half-day weekdays). The management has been responsible, responsive, and quite innovative. The teachers have been safe, caring, and attentive. Their program has enabled our child to start counting in both Mandarin and Spanish everywhere we go in addition to the English he learned at home. We loved all the other kids and parents we've met here. One of them even created a lovely PDF yearbook of all kids and families as a wonderful keepsake for everyone to stay in touch. KIT... Our child was and still is in good company here. We look forward to group playdates when the pandemic is really, really over. It is hard enough to find any type of early Mandarin programming in the area but to discover such a wonderful place with amazing and flexible language, dance, and music offerings was truly a stroke of luck. We look forward to enrolling our 8-month old here one day. It was also convenient to park in the garage for pick-ups and drop-offs (free). This school is AMAZING! My son is 2 years old and just started attending the Trilingual Program in September. In the past 1.5 months, he has learned how to count to 15 in both Spanish and Mandarin. He also recently started learning his colors. Yesterday, he started to sing a whole song in Spanish and do a dance to our surprise!!! My husband and I do not speak Spanish or Mandarin. We speak to him only in English at home. I cannot believe how much he has picked up. The teachers record videos of the kids learning, and they come home with these cute things they make. I highly recommend this program to anyone who is interested in language immersion! read more

We've now sent our 2.5 year old to two classes at MandarinArts. We started with Parent and Me -- an hour each Friday. The first class I was skeptical. Mandarin seemed impossible to crack. Within a month, my daughter and I were singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Mandarin. We both knew all our colors in Mandarin and could count to five. Plus lots of other words. As a result of this success, we enrolled our daughter into Playground (Mandarin and Spanish). She loves it and is learning a lot. They play games, sing songs, do arts and crafts -- all while learning. The teachers in both classes are really wonderful. Kind, patient, professional and diligent. Our daughter looks forward to class and we are really excited that she's learning two new languages at such a young age. read more

I am going to be completely upfront. I was introduced to Mandarin Arts Casey Wu through a mutual friend over the summer when I was looking for a Mandarin class for my five year-old son. As there are no other real options anywhere west of Pasadena, I decided to try it. I wasn't skeptical, I was more not sure what I was going to get. From Day One (which was Day Two of Mandarin Arts being open), my son ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. I don't mean just love. I mean absolutely obsessed with it. No one in our family is Chinese and he's never been exposed to it before. But he absolutely loves his teacher and the way they teach him. It's a two hour class and he cannot be more happy every time I pick him up. He sings the songs all week and voluntarily races ahead of what he's learning so he can learn more. The studio design is extremely inviting and fun and the materials (workbooks and flash cards) Casey and her partner created are top notch both in design and quality. I cannot be more heartfelt in wanting to spread the word about Mandarin Arts. They have created a tremendous program and selfishly I want to insure they stick around because I know how much my child loves going. I know this review sounds over the top, but it's not. This is our honest, full on experience and if you're even thinking about sending your kids, you should just do it because they're going to love it. This place is great. My son ( 4yo) goes to mandarin 101. It's the first time he started learn mandarin. Omg and when I see how he count and name the color on mandarin . I'm so proud. He loves his teacher Lulu! Sometimes he said, that he didn't understand something ( what is ok, because no one in our family speak on mandarin) but after classes he always happy. Highly recommend this place! Location is good. My child and I love this place. The curriculum is rigorous while being age appropriate for my kid. She loves coming here and all the teachers here are amazing. She comes home singing and smiling after every class and knows more Mandarin then me. I am excited to finally have a Mandarin Studio located in the valley. It's not just a language school, they have even have dance and music offered here in Chinese. My daughter and I love MandarinArts. We wish they could expand the Trilingual Playground program into a full time option. My daughter is 2.5 and MandarinArts was her very first classroom experience since COVID started. The teachers and friendly environment really helped her transition, and now she can't stop talking about her teachers and classmates. Since she started MandarinArts, not only her Mandarin improved, but also her Spanish and English (we only speak to her in Mandarin at home). I can't be more proud when she can count, sing, and tell colors in three languages. This review is way overdue! Mandarin Arts made all the difference for our daughter and we couldn't be more grateful. We started with MA at the height of the pandemic and we couldn't be happier with the tremendous progress our daughter made just inside of 3 months. Like most parents, we struggled with the decision to send her to school, especially with the recent arrival of her baby sister, but it was a decision that we would make again without reservation. The facility is definitely a cut above the rest in reference to Covid safety measures. Masks, face shield, air purifiers, after-hours UV sanitization, frequent cleaning of high-contact surfaces all while instilling healthy hygiene habits for your little ones throughout their day. MA's curriculum is fun, engaging, and balanced. The teachers pay special attention to their lesson plans and role with the unexpected effortlessly. Our daughter was usually exhausted after her day and much more engaged with at-home activities that mirrored her work at school. Also, we just can't say enough good things about the entire staff. The teachers are courteous, kind, extremely patient (have you met my kid?), and really love what they do. Trust me, it shows! The teachers and director were always open to discussing our daughter's victories and challenges after every session and even offered suggestions to what we could continue at home to accelerate her progress in her language learning as well as her behavior. We never felt like our child was just another kid among the ranks, but really valued and truly cared for. Mandarin Arts is most definitely worth all of the positive reviews you see here and so much more. MandarinArts Studio was a "game-changer" for our overtly-energetic and strong- willed toddler! My wife and I enrolled her last summer unsure of what to expect with Covid and all, but were blown out of the water in all the best ways! It is nothing short of a miracle to get my toddler to focus for any longer than a few minutes, but the teachers at MandarinArts Studio possess a magic that is nothing short of sorcery! Our toddler's behavior and focus improved dramatically and we have the wonderfully patient and caring teachers and director, Miss Selena, to thank for it. Also, MandarinArts Studio has an impressive curriculum that is more than just learning the basics of a language--but actually putting it into practice! Our daughter would come home singing in Mandarin and Spanish and actually use new words she was acquiring in in the program unprompted at home! I am so excited to have found MandarinArts Studio. My daughter is 3.5 years old and has attended classes at MandarinArts for more than a year. It is a nurturing environment, where the kids learn but also have fun, so they enjoy being there. Prior to pandemic, my daughter loved going to classes and often left class, continuing to sing in Mandarin in the car on the way home. MandarinArts quickly pivoted during the pandemic and offered virtual classes so that the children wouldn't be deprived of continued education. A WONDERFUL studio that goes above and beyond in all respects. My girls have been attending the Dancing Angels class since the studio opened and it immediately became a standout activity that they look forward to every week. Mandarin Arts has been a supportive, nurturing, positive environment that keeps them engaged and focused throughout. I love the MandarinArts Studio! I have two children and have been trying my darndest to teach them Mandarin even though I am not fluent myself. Living in the San Fernando Valley, I have searched far and wide for Mandarin education for little ones, and there is nothing close by! We commuted to Culver City for TWO YEARS for a Mandarin immersion preschool for my now 4yo, but the commute was just too much. Enter the MandarinArts Studio! I was so excited when I heard that it would be opening in Encino, and immediately signed both my daughters up for every class available in their respective age groups -- they offer Mandarin language classes, and both music and dance classes taught in Mandarin. I was nervous that the actual studio might not live up to my hopes for it, but now that it has been open for over a month I am happy to report that it is an amazing place and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in having their child learn Mandarin, a language that will be so useful in our world going forward! My 4yo often does not like transition and needs to be coaxed into participating in many of her after school activities, even ones she always enjoys once she starts. She has NEVER needed to be convinced to participate in her Mandarin language classes and talks about how much she enjoys them between classes! My almost 2yo has recently started singing entire songs in Mandarin and her Mandarin speaking has just exploded since we started at MAS. The teachers are so patient and kind, are great with kids, and are themselves so talented! They offer small class sizes, so the kids get a lot of individualized attention, allowing them to cater to many different language levels within one class. They are great at keeping the kids engaged and my daughter always comes out of class very happy! I cannot say enough positive things about this place, what a welcome addition to the Valley! My son LOVES Mandarin Arts Studio! He had been exposed to Mandarin a couple of years ago at school in kindergarten (no one in our family is a native speaker)but then they discontinued the program and we had been looking for a place to continue learning. They make learning fun! Amazing place!!!!! When I first enrolled my kids in mandarin classes I was kind of skeptical on having them around people again. Covid was definitely one of my major concerns but what convince me that this place was the right one was the way they were dealing with the new Covid norms. I love that everyone is being extra careful by following the covid protocols (wearing masks, washing hands, sanitizing the classrooms, temperature check). For me as I mom of twins listening to my kids feedback has always being an important aspect I take into account whenever I made any decision about them. Kids that feel more comfortable in a classroom environment have definitely better outcomes and that has always being my main goal regarding them. Just like many say, there are not more difficult clients than kids themselves. I was and still am amazed about how they feel so excited on going to their mandarin classes twice a week. I love how they have grown in such a complex language. For me this has been one of the best decision for my kids because I know that they are learning without really feeling stress on the struggles of learning a new language and that is just awesome. FINALLY!! I have been searching for a class like this since my lil' girl was born but living in Hollywood it meant long commutes to San Gabriel Valley or west to Culver City/Venice! Even then, the classes I found were more like daycare with Mandarin speakers. Imagine my excitement when I found Mandarin Arts! It's a dream come true! The studio is modern and clean. The teachers are fantastic and engaging; I don't know how they keep my 6 year old's attention even though she has no Mandarin background but they do! After 2-3 classes she is randomly saying Mandarin words and singing full songs to her grandparents! The owners are super sweet and accommodating. I had some scheduling conflicts and they were so gracious to help me out. Parking is easy and stores in the plaza make it a great place to hang out. Give it a try! You won't regret it!
