My back has been a problem for as long as I can remember. My back would ache so bad at times, I'd wish I could just replace my spine. For years I've looked for chiropractors that can help but was always disappointed. Some would just put me in a massage chair, yes a massage chair, for 30 min and crack two times and call it a day. Couple days ago my mom found this place on yelp, was skeptical because of my unfortunate experiences with other "chiropractors" but my back was in so much pain so I decided to go. We set an appointment today, Monday July 27 at 4pm. When we arrived we were greeted by Dr. Mandel, from the start he was very kind and had good vibes. Very friendly guy. We got started right away, first Dr. Mandel checked where I was feeling pain from then Dr. Mandel loosened my muscles with a machine (I don't know what's the machine called). Then finally the moment I've been waiting for, he cracked my upper back first. He felt where the tension was and cracked. Then he cracked my lower back. At this point I already felt like I got a new back. Then he checked my neck and cracked it three times. WOW... I felt like a brand new person. I will most definitely be coming back. I can't wait to come back and try the Y-strap, yes he has the thing that those chiropractic YouTubers use. If you have back pain and need a good chiropractor go here. It is worth it!! read more

I was impressed enough by Dr. Mandel's reviews and rating, here on Yelp, to pay him a visit today for my lower back pain. I can attest to all those great reviews and high rating. Dr. Mandel is very knowledgeable and friendly. Unlike some other doctors in his profession, he doesnt see you as a dollar sign when you're in his office. He will take his time with you as he does with all of his other patients. You will not be rushed out of his office just so that he can take another patient for $$$ purposes. On my last trip to NYC, I took a NASTY fall in my apartment getting up to get a drink of water. I hit my hip and most of my left side. Because it was the middle of the night, I shook it off and went back to sleep. The next morning, I felt a little off, but kept moving forward with my work. By noon, my back was hurting something fierce, and I knew I needed an adjustment. I looked up a chiropractic practice in the area and Dr. Mandel's had just great reviews. All the reviews are justified. He not only took in a wounded walk in, he made sure to fit me into his schedule for my entire trip! With just one adjustment, I was feeling SO SO SO much better. I came to Dr. Mandel with some slight back pain and wanting to improve my posture. At each visit, I was given some kind of heat massage, stretches, and some adjustments to my spine. I always felt better after each visit. It's a refreshing start to the week after working in a restaurant for 40 hours. I stand up straighter and walk out 2 inches taller than when I enter. I feel more energy. It's like a reset button. Dr Mandel also provides good hospitality (speaking as a person who works in hospitality). I've always felt taken care of. He kind of becomes your friend and not just some dude helping you out with your back. I've visited him at least 10 times and over the course we've talked and gotten to know each other a little bit. As for payment, he'll try to find a payment plan that'll work with you and your insurance (if you have any). I'm a low income person and I was still able to see Dr Mandel without hurting my wallet. Dr. Mandel is fantastic! I needed an adjustment stat and was looking for someone not too far from my home. There's actually a Chiropractor two doors down from me but had terrible reviews so went on the hunt and came across Dr. Mandel. He is extremely professional and polite! From the minute I walked into the office he was there to greet me and took me in right away. He explained everything while examining/treating me and asked a lot of questions in order to determine what treatment would best benefit me. Let me tell you that I left feeling BRAND NEW!! I've had the pleasure of being one of Dr. Mandel's first patients - literally. His knowledge and patience in dealing with my 'aches and pains' have allowed me to successfully manage my lower back pain for several years. He communicates in a casual and friendly manner, providing patients with information (and making sure it's understood) so they can make an informed decision. He is an active listener, allowing patients to take time to explain how they feel while asking key questions in order to come up with a way of providing them relief. Dr. Jared is amazing! I've tried everything for my chronic 10/10 neck and back pain: massage, acupuncture, cupping, physical therapy, etc. After a few sessions with Dr. Jared my pain is hardly noticeable and I'm able to get through the day and sleep at night so much easier. I just came back from visiting Jarred Mandela. It was my third and last visit. The second time I was treated, I felt my sinuses get congested but I did not know why. Today, I laid face down once again on the table and he put the tens machine along with a heating pad on my back. I was relaxed and starting to take in deep breathes. Almost immediately my sinuses began to get congested again. I looked directly below under the head piece of the table and it was filled with a black and brown sticky substance. As soon as he came back in, I told him about the substance and he took alcohol and wipes and cleaned it as best he could. Then he said "it's perfect". If you think that breathing in deeply a black and brown sticky substance for a total of approximately 60 minutes is "perfect", then this is a perfect place for you. After he cleaned it, he expected me to continue with the treatment or lack of treatment. But I told him that I lost trust and I did not want to be worked on by him anymore. On the way out he had the audacity to charge me 40$ for making me breathe in that mysterious substance that has caused me severe congestion and wheezing when I take in deep breathes. This experience may sound unbelievable, but my sinuses and lungs do not agree. I feel sicker as a result of going to this "Welness Center". read more

Jared Mandel has been my Chiropractor for over 12 years, so this review is long overdue. I had been to a few other Chiropractors prior to being recommended to Jared Mandel, but have NEVER gotten any relief from other Chiropractors. Not only is Dr. Mandel great at his profession, but he is very friendly and takes the time to explain my condition, and always offers great advice. I have herniated discs in my neck and back, and whenever it gets really bad, I go see him and he works his "magic". Most recently, I had lower back pain so much that I could barely walk and stayed in bed for two days (it was one of my worst episodes); the pain was excruciating; it was so bad that I couldn't get to his office. After the pain settled enough so that I was able to get around, the pain had traveled to my mid back and my neck, and I was waiting to see if it would subside on its own. It didn't; so after 3 WEEKS of not feeling enough relief to be comfortable and resume normal activities, I went to Jared for a Chiropractic treatment a few days ago! As always, he was AMAZING! After just one treatment, I felt some relief, but It took until the next day after treatment to feel the full effects of his "magic", and I have resumed a normal lifestyle the past few days, without being in agony, moving around and walking with minimal pain, and I was able to get back to cleaning my apt., etc. I feel like I have my life back after three long weeks of suffering and inactivity.
