I contacted the office of a cardiologist who I had seen a few years ago and really liked to see if I could get an appointment. The office said that since it had been over three years since I had seen the doctor, I would be considered a new patient, and it would be a five month wait until I could get an appointment. What?!? I got in touch with my surgeon's office, and they referred me to Dr. Shervin Eshaghian at Beverly Hills Cardiology. Although the office is not close to where I live, I was desperate to find someone that could see me. I called the office on a Thursday afternoon and was helped by Amy. She was able to offer an appointment on Monday morning! I was very thankful that they would be able to fit me at such a last minute. The offices are located in Century City. The parking structure was very crowded, and I would recommend arriving at least 20 minutes ahead of an appointment to have time to park and get to the office. There is valet available and the valet attendants were very nice, and they worked very hard to accommodate everyone. The appointment went very well and everyone that I encountered was professional and great to work with. Evelyn A. took care of taking my vitals prior to seeing the doctor and she was very personable and made me feel very comfortable. Shortly after seeing her, Dr. Eshaghian started the exam. He learned about all the details of my upcoming surgery and was able to set me up with an echocardiogram on the spot. Chris conducted the echocardiogram and explained everything that was going on with the test. I have never had an echocardiographer provide so much information while having the test. When all was said and done, I was cleared for the surgery three days later. I was in the hospital for four nights. Each day, Dr. Eshaghian stopped by to check in on me, which I truly appreciated. He is very caring and going forward, I will gladly drive the extra distance to remain one of his patients.

He is a fabulous doctor and given my considerable perspective I wanted to finally share this review. Dr. Eshaghian has the perfect temperament for practicing medicine. He is a very attentive listener and observer. Having world-class knowledge in his field, he also possesses superior judgment in knowing when to intervene and when to simply keep an eye on things. His office always operates extremely effectively and professionally, I can't say enough good things about them either. And I can't count the times other doctors in the Cedars-Sinai system, without any prompting from me, have commented on what a first-rate doctor they believe Dr. Eshaghian is. I would recommend him without reservation to any patient seeking the highest level of care.

My mother needed an X-ray to complete the paperwork, and Ruby personally contacted the insurance company to help get it covered. Over the past couple of years, the quality of service has gone downhill dramatically. It has become nearly impossible to get medications refilled in a timely manner. I've gone without my prescriptions multiple times--despite both myself and my pharmacy repeatedly contacting the office. This has even led to withdrawal symptoms due to their lack of response. At the same time, the office has introduced a "concierge service," which essentially means charging patients additional fees on top of already rising insurance premiums--yet the level of care and responsiveness has only gotten worse. Even Dr. Bhatia now seems more rushed and less attentive during visits. The front desk staff, unfortunately, are also extremely unhelpful and often rude. It's frustrating to deal with people who clearly don't want to be there or assist patients in any meaningful way. I'm truly disappointed to see a once-great practice decline so much. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously and makes real improvements.

Our Christmas experience with Dr. Elad…read more My partner had been Dr Elad's patient for approximately one year. He will have to face open heart surgery due to Elad's oversight (in my opinion). My partner's life was saved only by an amazing team of doctors at Eisenhower in Palm Springs. We were very lucky to have been there over the holidays. My partner is young and will now have irreversible damages to his body. I had been with my partner during the office visits, and I can attest to Elad's conduct. Not only had Dr. Elad been impolite, combative and lackadaisical with his diagnosis he also dismissed my partner's complains of heart palpitations. At the last office visit in late November, Dr Elad said that "there is nothing he can do" and that my partner "had to live with that condition." On top of it he forgot to listen to my partner's heart. Three weeks later we desperately called Dr. Elad for help. My partner had gained 20 pounds of water weight and complained of shortness of breath. Dr Elad suggested either to wait until after the holidays to see him, or go to the emergency room in Palm Springs. We chose the emergency room and it was the right choice over doctor Elad. Dr Elad had not followed up with us since.
