Can't recommend Mand's enough!! It's the only place I will send my husband to get his hair and beard cut . Cookie always does an amazing job! I just moved from to Hackettstown, NJ from Brooklyn, NY, so Im used to barbers being really good at fades and tape-ups. So far Ive been to 3 places and they have all been substandard. Mand's is actually BETTER than any place Ive gotten my hair cut in Brooklyn. From the comfortable waiting area, to the free coffee and other beverages, to the competent and capable barbers/stylists, this place gets 5 stars and will be my new hair place. I have been going to Mands since they opened, and they deserve more then 5 stars if it was possible. Amanda, the owner cuts my hair and trims my beard almost weekly. I have gone to many other barber shops to have my beard trimmed but they never have lived up to my expectations and never had the consistency that I get from Mands. Once in awhile I will get a full shave with a straight razor. They put a hot towel over your neck and beard to soften everything up, and then go to work on your beard. It turns out absolutely amazing and it is a very relaxing experience. The entire staff is extremely nice and professional. I highly recommend this establishment to everybody. Full disclosure, I shave my head myself but if how they trimmed and shaped up my beard is any indication of how your hair will be done you're in good hands. Now to the review, I'll start right off by saying it was super easy to book my appointment online, the website was easy to navigate and looked very good, the location is very convenient with plenty of parking in the lot, inside is very bright, clean, professional and it's very apparent that thought went into the atmosphere and not just a thrown together thing because it's a barber shop and guys won't care how it looks, because yes we do. The staff was very courteous, friendly and professional Carol who cut my beard took the time to listen to what I wanted and executed it perfectly, I didn't feel rushed at all and wasn't pushed out the door. The owner who was busy with another client took time that she probably could have used to take a break to check on how my appointment went and to make sure I was happy, she also gave me some advice on what I could use to trim my head. The prices are more than fair for the services they provide and there was no pressure to purchase other services or upselling which is something I truly appreciate. Will definitely be returning. Quality service from Amanda, excellent haircut and shave. I drive 20 minutes to have her cut my hair / trim my beard and get a shave. Not many places you can still get an old school straight razor shave, and she knows what she is doing. Shop is immaculate, nice relaxed atmosphere. Hours are convenient too.
