On 02/01/24, my wife and I decided to try something new and this restaurant was the choice. Originally a take-out only (with a drive-up window in the back), there are now 7 or 8 tables for a dine-in experience. Family run, they utilize a rotating menu that is always found on their social media page or website. My wife had a Chef's Salad, while admittedly very fresh, was not exciting per her report. My choice for the meal was a Cuban sandwich with a side of homemade mac and cheese. O. M. G. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By far, the small plated sandwich is the best sandwich I have had in this area. Slow-roasted pork, quality ham, a thick slice of melted Swiss cheese, and pickle chips on a toasted brioche-style bun. Just fantastic. The mac and cheese was fresh, the cheese "just enough" and it was served hot rather than with a "warmed over" taste. Although they are only open from 11 to 6 Monday through Thursday, I have an idea that if they get a few more customers, this might change. They would be an excellent place for lunch, a take-home dinner, or catering needs. They will also rent out the dining area for private events. The fees are very reasonable. And just for fun, they offer options to include freshly popped popcorn for perhaps a movie night and a "Gourmet Cotton Candy Bar. There is a kids menu and it would make a perfect place for a theme birthday party. And last but not least, FREE "old school" video gaming. No quarters are required. HOWEVER, the hand-dipped ice cream at the Spotted Cow is terrific!! And the Butter PEcan is my personal "go-to." But many other options abound.
