Panera Bread - Salad Near Me - Adrian, Michigan

You might be wondering, 5 stars? For Panera? Well, in Adrian, Michigan (a foodie's worst nightmare), Panera is the one place we wound with edible food, and it deserves some credit for that. After nearly 3 days of choking down limp iceberg lettuce, Chipotle with no fajita veggies or chicken (yes, they managed to run out of chicken), and soggy pitas, the taste of okay bread and any vegetable other than iceberg lettuce and tomatoes (if you count that as a vegetable) was heavenly. Although Panera probably isn't even worth a stop back in California, we were so deprived of anything resembling a meal that everyone was begging to come back the next day. So if for whatever reason, you find yourself in Adrian, Michigan, here's my advice: don't bother looking for anything good because you'll just be disappointed. Just go to Panera. read more

I come here a lot and this time the workers refused to serve us until 15 minutes after we arrived. Highly disappointed.

I was very happy to see Panera come to Adrian. It was an interesting transformation of the the old Steak and Shake that facilitated its landing spot. Hence, the facility looks a bit different on both the inside and the outside compared to a typical Panera establishment. The seating area is a bit small as is the counter area. But it works. They don't call it an Express location but it has that feel. The service here could use some polish but I am guessing it will get there. It's not bad right now as the counter workers are polite but hey are not quite as efficient as I'm sure they will eventually be. The wait time on the food is also a little longer than I would typically experience at Panera. They have all of the same favorites I have come to enjoy at Panera shops everywhere. I have been in twice now and have migrated to my typical Pick-2 choices. I have had the Summer Corn Chowder twice. One time I paired that with the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and on the other occasion I opted for the Southwest Chili Lime Ranch Salad. I was very happy with my dinners in both cases. Some are a little taken aback about prices at Panera but I think it is a pretty good deal. We have gotten away for about $11 to $12 per person each time we have visited. I am happy with the value this presents. I will be a regular visitor here as I have been a big Panera fan for a long time. read more

I really like this new addition to our area as I enjoy Panera. The salads and sandwiches are delicious with the green goddess chicken salad my favorite. I also enjoy the soups especially the broccoli soup. It is especially delicious in a bread bowl. It brings a good memory of my mom and one of our lunches. Breakfast is also delicious from the baked goods to the breakfast sandwiches. In summer, I choose the plum hibicus tea mixed with the regular tea but in the cooler months, I pick a hot beverage. read more

Not quite there yet... We are big Panera fans so we were happy to see one come to Adrian. Quality of food is good. Staff seems willing to help, and I think they will improve with more training. But when we ordered some of our favorite dishes we were disappointed when they came prepared differently than the other Paneras we go to. Biggest difference was in the grilled cheese sandwiches, and because that's the kids' favorite they notice the difference right away. Hopefully things will improve and we can all enjoy going there again! read more

I just love their bacon, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich on brioche bread! Can never leave without taking a bear's claw & other pastries. Soups are delicious along with their sandwiches. Have to compliment their staff also. So friendly! read more

Never going there again! I ask for coffee. I began to pour it, No coffee! They said it would take 15mins to brew. Ugh! I then order a side of Mac and Cheese, it was cold! Plus, nasty tasting! Ordered Bread for Dinner. It was so stiff, it could break your teeth! Never again! read more

We waited a few weeks after opening and it was worth the wait. Blueberry scones are authentic, not too sweet or soft and I park in quick parking to run in for bakery items. Food and service was better than other paneras, hope it can maintain the quality. The only issue is the sandwiches came hot and the baguette was very toasted, too much for my granddaughters to chew and when you order on kiosk there is no way to order it not to be toasted. Other locations don't serve hot so it wasn't expected. My flatbread was excellent and the salads are fresh and not too loaded with dressing so it was perfect for me. I got the Fuji apple and I expected fresh apples but they were the dried ones.....surprisingly I really liked them because they were not to hard and added a nice texture. They bring the food to your table and they said to leave dishes, unlike others that you bus your own. The only negative I experience is when I run in for bakery items the service isn't good. There are always two or three employees but they are not knowledgeable about breads and pastries, they seem to be more interested in waiting on customers that are behind me for food orders. Most people order on kiosk and this should give me the time and attention I need but it's not the case. This has happened both times I ran in for bakery only. The organization is good to break up the flow so people can order at other areas so I think educating the employees more on bakery is needed. This bakery could be a huge separate business to go....but better service is needed. read more

All the silverware was very sticky...told the staff it is not clean, and they said it is the Adrian water and only water spots. No, I had to clean my silverware handle with my napkin so it would not be sticky, gross! read more

Second time to the Adrian Panera and again disappointed in the service and wait time. Frequent Panera patron in Ann Arbor and receive great service and food quickly. This location needs good help and leadership. read more
