The salon is kept very clean and they seem to have very good equipment to work with. The ladies working there are very pleasant and personable. For the record, I am a guy and I typically only get a buzz cut. The part I like the most about it is that they accept walk-ins. That makes it very convenient for me as I am usually pretty busy so when I can find a couple minutes to get my haircut, they can usually find a couple minutes to slide me in, in between appointments. He was on a phone call the entire time spitting all over my head and at one point spitting on my face while I was lying down getting my hair washed, he took pauses from cutting my hair to text, and he went around the salon making conversation with his employees while leaving me sitting at the chair for minutes mid haircut waiting for him to come back and finish cutting my hair. On top of that, I asked for an inch trim. No layers, no styling. nothing fancy. He kept trying to pressure me into doing layers and I kept refusing, yet still against my consent he ended up cutting my hair awfully uneven, and used a razor to remove 6 inches of length hair that I took years to finally grow out to that length. It looked like a terrible layer cut, like a toddler did it.

In addition, I did not want to drive 15-20 minutes and have to hunt for parking. Shear Spirit was one of few hair salons listed in my area. Unfortunately, there were no Yelp reviews, so I decided to do some detective work on the interweb aka Google. Voila! I found what I was looking for. 4.9 stars? Impossible! ...or was it? To know for sure, I'd have to check this place out... At 9:00 a.m., I was the first customer of the day. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the owner and hair stylist, Barb. The salon had a chic, rustic feel to it. Although my hair had grown out a good amount, it was barely shoulder length. I didn't exactly know how I wanted my hair cut.
