I had the BEST experience at Wild on Cherry. I came in with a very bad lightening experience. My hair was 5 different colors and veryyyy dry. Jana was able to fix my hair, make me a bright blonde (like i wanted originally), make my hair all one color again, and give me a cut in 2 hours! She got me in quickly to help and restored my hair! Upon arrival, they were discussing "people who don't work for their money" (welfare, disability). I said, "Excuse me, I'm one of those people." The owner responded with, "But what are you on disability for?" I said none of your business. Then, they started discussing addicts and addiction when I have been open about my past. I was absolutely mortified!! If that's not bad enough, they ended up giving me a shag that I didn't ask for. I posted anonymously in the Happy Valley Moms group on Facebook and I received a phone call from the business looking to resolve, so I gave them a chance. I went in yesterday to see Cameo Strauss to get my undercut maintenance, and I wanted a mohawk. she did exactly what I asked her not to and then proceeded to yell at me when I said she made a mistake. I asked her to fix it, and instead, she argued with me and told me what I wanted would make me look like a boy. I have never had such a horrible experience with a salon in my life! read more

I visited Wild on Cherry based on proximity to me and another review. It's always hard trying a new salon and trusting a new stylist. Well, I was not disappointed. Tori at Wild on Cherry was amazing. I had such a fun time chatting with her and she did a fantastic job on my hair. Gave me an easy to manage and style cut, perfect for my type of hair and season in life. My sister, my friend and I had our up-dos done for my wedding photos, we each requested different styles. Ashley did each of us in succession. I was blown away by how well my hair turned out - exquisite! I loved it, and couldn't wait to show it off, even before I got into my dress! Both the girls were also very happy with their dos. The hair style held through the whole day and evening, even with hugging while the veil was on which tugs on the hair. I was extremely disappointed to see my review hidden for Wild on Cherry. They were recommended by a friend and the salon did not let them, or me down. I always get a great cut and I often see friends there that always have great cuts, too. I love to watch the other stylists do updos while I am in the chair. I have been a 'patient' of Lori since she was a stylist in the Nittany Mall Regis Salon. She and her staff have a unique ability to listen and style according to your wishes. I even brought my husband along for a cut (not an easy job, as it was mine for awhile) and he was really happy with the results. Lori and staff are talented and knowledgeable, even engaging in the chat talk during the hair styling. How can someone service a customer for so many years through mid life to old ager and still produce a quality product. She and staff are polished gems! read more

I have been here a number of times for myself and my daughter. Cameo has done a wonderful job on my daughters hair and every time it has been beautiful.
