They're conveniently located near the intersection of Academy and Woodmen. Yoga on top and the salon on the bottom. You can access the salon either through the front door and walk down the stairs, or you can park around back and use the door located in the center of the building (as opposed to the back door on the southwest corner of the building). She's friends with the yoga studio owners, and they decided to partner together to offer us clients a one-stop-zen-shop, so to speak. | SERVICE | WAXING -- I can't say enough awesome things about Kasey. She's so easy to talk to and has a great spirit. I've only been to her for Brazilians, but I wouldn't go anywhere else. She makes me feel really comfortable during a process that -- let's be real -- involves bearing it all and being in awkward positions. Kasey will make sure you still have all your skin left and take the time to make sure the process is as painless as possible. I went to her on a GREAT priced Groupon and am so glad I took the chance." I asked for much less than a partial highlight, though I didn't know the exact terminology. I was quoted $75, and when we arrived the price was almost double, which was frustrating but we went ahead with it. When we left, her hair looked okay. However, within a week her hair turned orange. She did not swim, use unusual products, or do anything that would cause this. I contacted Lily to explain the issue and was told it needed to be toned. I was then told I would be charged another $50 to fix it. At the original appointment, I was told toner was included in the price, even if it didn't appear to need it at the time. What was most disappointing wasn't just the cost, but the lack of care or accountability. There was no apology and no willingness to correct the issue, especially considering this was a service done on a 13-year-old who doesn't have many experiences getting her hair done. This was my first time seeing Lily, and while I understand mistakes can happen, I believe when someone pays a significant amount of money and something clearly isn't right, the salon should at least show concern and try to make it right. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here.

And that is exactly what she did. I have very difficult hair to work with. My hair does not take well to natural oils. They do the exact opposite of what they should do to my hair. It becomes frizzy and dry. I have curly thick hair. My curly change everyday depending on the cut and how I style my hair that day. So my hair can be very confusing at times. Most salons just chop off my hair and cut it like I'm some type of poodle that won't notice if the mess up my hair. And beleive me I will notice. I was very scared to go to a new salon for the first time but I am very happy I did. She cut all the weight out the bottom back without removing alot of length and threugh layers in my bangs for movement. My hair is perfect and light and flowy now. Before it was awful I could work with it but I would make me over heat and the top of my head would become matted very easily. My bangs would fuse with my mid layerd everyone assumes I was African american. That is fine. But I am not. I am a latina with very different hair.
