I tried the mushroom topped one which had excellent cheese, sauce and dough --- the dough is key in Roman-style pizza which has a different texture than most and is taller (ie. not thin crusted) and should have a little crunch around the edges and even on the bottom. Now that I've described it, I want one for brunch, lunch or dinner. In the meantime, I'll let you know they are an Italian coffee bar and have baked in-house pastries. It's not a huge shop, but big enough and has a very authentic Italian feel. I'm not sure how I missed this place, since they make things fresh; and my rectangular slice was very much so! The store is named after an Italian comedian who went by one word stage name Totò and there is at least one black and white photo on the wall of him. What a nice tribute to a classic talent. They also have some Italian products: dry goods and such on offer which adds to the authenticity. I almost forgot to mention the two sisters serving the counter who are very nice and helpful. Of course the chef and the pizzaeolo are great too. Rumour has it - they may be a family. Yes, it's true!

I have visited quite a number of baklava pastry places and tested them out. This is unquestionably one of the finest bakeries I have ever seen so far. From the very high-quality ingredients, to the good consistency of making each baklava piece, as well as the great freshness of the products, all areas are simply top-notch in the business! Their store layout, their very friendly and cheerful staff, and even their packaging, are all getting together to form a very enjoyably addictive experience. Aside from the artisanal baklava, they also have other pastries, cookies, chocolate, Turkish stretchy ice cream (Maraş Dondurması), premium cakes, cream puffs, fruit tarts, and I can keep going on and on and on.... Just be prepared to spend a lot there because it is simply irresistible. LOL. Take a look at my photos posted, you will get the idea instantly. At the end of the day, these are all sweet treats that you cannot eat too much at a time. They are famous for their meringues but as beautiful as they are were a little too sweet for me. The croissants and coffee, however, are to die for! I've eaten my way through Paris over the last 25 years and this place rivals some of the best croissants and pastries I've ever had. The funny part is that you don't have to travel to Paris or even to Montreal because they have locations in NYC.
